outfits! custom outfits! I have a dream list of outfits for my dolls and i REALLY need armor for them, would %100 spend all of it on trying to get some armor for them >w<!

This is my second time answering this, things have changed. I’d now buy a lot of really good quality clothes, shoes, eyes, and wigs for all my current dolls. I did some rearranging yesterday to fit a new doll in and it was tough because I have enough dolls to fill the display cabinet in the doll room and if I add more bjd I will have to sell some ot dolls to make room. Ooh, I just realized I could get some wall shelves to add more bjd, lol!

I think I would probably get a LOT of accessories (clothing, shoes, wigs, furniture, etc. plus crafting supplies to make all the ephemera) for my existing dolls, but then again I really want a Myou Doll Chelses even though I am not technically trying to collect any more MSD sized dolls. I am actually feeling pretty happy with my collection of dolls, but not the amount of items I have for each of them. For example, Mina (my DC Cecile on a K-11 body) doesn't have a dedicated wig anymore since my "new to me" Gem of Doll Satina (who has yet to be named) stole it lol Mina also only has a tunic at the moment. My mature tinies from Myou Doll definitely need more clothing (specifically shoes since they are really hard to find shoes for). Getting those dolls full wardrobes would likely require commission work if I decided I didn't want to make all their stuff myself.

I would love to get all three of Maskcat's mature tinies (Feline, Joy, and Innez)! I'm glad to see someone else interested in this doll maker.

 

Answering this again but I'd likely buy a Chicabi Enfant (I've wanted one for a while) and maybe another Littlefee because a lot of them are being discontinued. I'd also like to find another Pukifee Ante but those seem thin on the ground recently.

 

I’d probably try to get my hands on my DD grails Manaka and Lina!

 

I would save it. It would be a good start on being able to afford a Volks Rose of Versailles or another SD16.

 

I'd save it for the next Teacup Marionette in the right sculpt and colour!

 

More glass display shelves or a beautiful bjd from Angell Studio. I always wanted to own at least 1 or 2 bjd from them but they are so damn expensive .

 

I saved my pennies and bought what I said that I would buy the first time I answered this, so now I would get custom faceups done on all of my dolls from my favourite artists. I recently bought my first doll with a custom faceup and I am hooked.

 

I’m glad to see that tooo. Maskcat’s dolls look elegant and cute at the same time. The 26 cm dolls are adorable. I cannot choose between them!

 

A Fairyland Celine minifee, and then a boatload of outfits! Maybe some doll furniture too...

 

I'd finish paying of my LLT Roderich head, buy him an inexpensive but new body then start looking for a girl his size to buy used. That would spend about half. The rest I'd bank for spending on far more practical things than dolls. :P

 

Assuming it has to be BJD-related, I would get high-quality materials for doing faceups as well as some nice heads to practice on.

 

If I was given $1,000, I would buy the FallinDoll Force Fox doll in my Ebay cart, along Picco Neemo body I also have in the cart. Then I would try and figure out what else would buy with the remainder of the money. I don't think I'd be able to buy the other dolls I want with the rest of the money, lol.

 

Buy a +$1000 full doll. I have one in mind, but you can fill in the blank with whichever you think of, because they are all gorgeous and so out of reach at the moment realistically!

 

Okay I know I'm on DoA but my first instinct was to say "a five-string bass guitar, so i can play [several songs which are impossible with the tuning of my current bass]" or "a set of fencing gear" because i have too many expensive hobbies. (And honestly, I could do both with that kind of money and still have some left over for a doll!)

BUT if we're talking, you know, on-topic: I have a specific plan to get two full dolls and a body from Dream Valley and a head from Withdoll for a set of brothers who are my next priorities, and that's the majority of that grand! I might add in one more girl (also DV) too, and after shipping I suspect that would be all of it!

(The dolls in question: DV Sylves, DV Achelous human head, DV 49 & 51cm bodies, Withdoll Kyle, DV Silina. I didn't plan to get a bunch of DV dolls but also they're gorgeous and suit the characters i'm shelling very nicely!)

 

I've thought about this one for awhile and my answer keeps changing. xD Do I stay responsible and get 2 DF-H 68 bodies for two heads I desperately want bodies for? (AS Anthony and Switch Hwayeon) Or....do I get that SD13 Williams fullset I've been staring at for over a month? I've low-key had Williams as my grail since pretty early into the hobby but could never justify his outrageous second hand price. But if I had $1000 on hand....well. It might just be possible for once!

Or I'd go far left field and get a Crobidoll Lance on the evolve body with faceup and spend the rest on custom clothing. xD You know, because that also makes sense. lol

 

Bodies for all floating heads, more Unoa faceplates, heeled feet and more hands for everyone and maybe I'll even swap out my sewing machine for one that sews really small stuff a little better.

 

I'd put out a wtb for a dreaming vampire shiwoo and cross my fingers!

 

I would buy a Myou Daisy in coffee (blank doll), and then focus on outfits, wigs, and faceups! I plan to make wigs myself, so I’d get some nice mohair or alpaca fiber to work with. I’m still very new to the hobby, so my first and currently only doll is still staring at me blank, eyeless, wigless, and unclothed (though her eyes should be on the way any day now!), and I’d really like to make progress on her.

 

I'd probably get some bodies and shoes really xDD.

To say the truth If I am gifted 1000 cash I will probably save them for heating and electricity cause the prices are crazy but if let's say I was gifted coupons for bjd worth 1000 and had space I would either get a do dolls dream Ursula Eris or Natasha and Natalia of gem of doll and their mermaid 1/4 body

 

I can't buy any of the dolls I want even if I had $1000 because all the dolls I want are discontinued.

 

At this point . . . probably add it to the other thousand dollars I'm already willing to pay for Dollzone Keai and wave it around hoping and praying for results

Hm, as much as I have collected second hand because I like a lot of random old dolls and to catch a good bargain, I think with $1,000 for free I would want to support artists with direct purchases rather than tracking down one of my discontinued grails. I think I'd just enjoy that opportunity more than looking for a specific thing.
Lillycat or a doll from Dollits come to mind for me first. There are plenty of dolls I never got to buy... It would be hard to pick. Or maybe just a really pretty body like the popo 64 I wanted forever and/or maybe just a years worth of many purchases of wigs, shoes, eyes, and particular clothes I never got to get and I refuse to bother making. seems like maybe this free $1k is already causing me more decision anxiety than good.

 

Hm, difficult question. I think, I will first pay my layaway for a last doll I bought, to live without credit and dept. Then on the rest money I ll order SoulDoll Kid.

 

Honestly, my immediate instinct was to comission a computer desk that fit the measurements I wanted perfectly but, I'm on DoA so... Hm...

I can think of other dolls I would get but in terms of BJD... Maybe I would try to hunt down the first BJD I saw. $1000 should hopefully be able to get me Dream of Dolls Dream of Teen E-an fullset.

 

Probably eyes first, actually, some of mine have been waiting a while. Then faceups. Then as many bodies as I could stretch the rest to cover.

Option 2 - Buy shoes for all of my dolls and all of my friends’ dolls!!! They’re all so BAREFOOTED and I want OPTIONS!

 

Preorder Rosen Garden's new tiny guy whenever he's ready and probably spend the rest on crafting materials, like mohair, leather, fabrics, msc, cool trinkets I think could be used in doll projects "some day", etc.

 

Updating this! If I were gifted $1k, my new buying goals would be faceups for Phoebe, Marcie, and Aiyu, and a body for my incoming No. 9 Babel Shu.

 

So right now, if I was gifted $1000 I’d put it towards my mortgage, but that’s not a fun dolly answer!

the dolly answer is that I’d spend $500 on an Iplehouse Claude secondhand, so that the head can go to Mercy, and the body can go to Oriel. Then I’d spend $342 on a supia Ballerina body for Azrael, because she really needs a body and she does not currently fit the spare body she’s borrowing right now. The remaining $158 I’d spend on getting more clothes for the dolls I currently have. I’d really like a big princessy dress that fits Do Dolls Dream girls for Aura when she comes in…

 

I actually was just gifted $1000 from my grandmother a few weeks ago.
All I got doll-wise was a chair and some jewelry to incorporate into her outfit.

(With the rest of it, I got some new storage furniture, a rock tumbler, an excellent air purifier and took my household to the zoo today)

 

Let’s see. If I was ‘forced’ ( and admittedly, there would be little…ok, none, no force whatsoever involved) to spend $1,000 on a doll, I’d get faceups for my floating IZE D and ATS Sins G heads, and spend the rest on a nice 75cm body or two.

EDIT: Alternatively, I’d blow it all on a YiCen.

 

That's tough, do I spend the whole $1,000 on one doll thing or do I break it up into smaller amounts for many doll things hmm... I think if I really had to spend the whole $1,000 and the ideal situation came together, I'd get a Luts Delf Dambi. Dream boy. But realistically, I do have some girls that could use faceups and better wigs so I'd probably split the money up.

 

With $1000, I would get Ringdoll Xie Lian if I wanted to spend it all in one place.
Otherwise I think it would be nice to buy all the gorgeous outfits in my wishlist!

 

With a $1000 I would commission someone to make my Dorian’s Dragon Age Inquisition outfit and with the rest of the money, get some new face ups for my older dolls.

 

I'd automatically be on Luts ordering two that are on my wishlist and front the rest that is needed, lol.

 

I am very jealous of your Dragon Age doll collection, as someone who is gradually working through crafting her own collection of Dragon Age characters as dolls.

 

I would order a Volks FCS doll, partly for the doll (I already have one in mind) and partly to have that FCS experience. In fact, my birthday this year is a milestone year... so I might gift myself just that.

 

Clothes...lots...and lots...of clothes. Some eyes and wigs too.

Omg I’m actually in this situation and I can’t even decide!!! I really want a girl from fan ff but I need to actually get a body for my floating R&R Blina. I also have way too many other doll plans! I can’t make up my mind!

 

Oh man! Do I put it away for future doll preorders/grails popping up or spend it all on clothing, wigs, and accessories for my current dolls? Much to think about!

As of now I would probably put it towards preordering the new FFXIV DD twins ^^

 

I would probably get a SD or a nice centaur body like the FairyLine one Life would be better if I was rich... the ringdolls are also nice. Imagine being a rich heiress reading danmei novels all day, playing with handsome dolls....

 

I'd finish paying off this layaway on a Loong Soul body, and then spend the rest getting a new proper body for my Impldoll Joshua. If anything left over, it'd go towards the dye jobs I need to get done (or the faceups if I manage to psyche myself into doing the dye jobs at home).

 

wish i could say my next doll, but i haven't found the right one for that yet - i have a specific idea in mind, and have yet to come across that "bingo" moment for him yet!

soooo... i guess Oliver's getting a lot of new clothes and accessories, and a few new sets of hands!

 

These plans have changed very slightly... but also DV just posted that future naga release. So he would definitely get my money right now if i had it to spare, plus the next two dolls on my priority list... and i haven't even gotten to the (still relevant) ones in my previous post!

As of right now I would buy a couple of bodies I need (one 1/3 and one 1/4 size) and with anything remaining I would get shoes, eyes, some specific items of clothes and accessories and some nice quality fibers for wigs. Alternatively, if I happened to find any of the dolls/heads that I've liked for a long time that can only be found second-hand it would be the best opportunity to get any of those
