Your first Tiny? Were you shocked?

Jul 29, 2008

    1. What was your reaction when you got your first tiny? :) Were you shocked and amazed by it? Or was it just another doll?

    2. My first tiny was a bobobie erin and to be honest she wasn't quite "right" for me...
But then I got my Secret (YoSD Kanon) and fell SO hard in love. I couldn't stop playing with her alllll day! She's the perfect size to play with and interact with all my other dolls and feels lovely and solid in my hands.

    3. My first tiny was my Yo Tenshi Yuh. Truthfully, I was a bit surprised that she was taller than I imagined. Sure she's only 10 inches tall, but I was expecting the size difference between her and my 60cm boys to be a bit more. She was completely perfect though, and omg they pose awesomely when they're smaller!

    4. Yes, kind of, though with my second tiny. My first tiny was a Petite Ai, and while he´s quite clearly a lot smaller than the big ones, I just went "aw, cute" when I first saw him. Entirely different case with the Elfdoll Catsy I got some time after that. The sheer size (or lack thereof) of her box already made me suspect she was smaller than I imagined, and ye gods, she was. Sometimes you just don´t know how small a 15 cm doll is until you see it in the resin :).

    5. No I wasn't shocked at all ..my honest first thought ...this is perfection

I was more shocked how big and heavy the SDs were
I have always collected tiny or small anything ..bears , miniatures ..Pippa dolls ..things
first time I held my first sd ...a custom house Chowan
I was like OMG ..THIS IS HUGE !!
I was more comfortable with my Unoa and MSD
a few months after I had my Megu I think it was ...I had my first tiny

My first tiny was Sylph - by Elf doll ...and I fell hard for tinys
she was closely followed ..the same month ..by a pocketfairy Yoko ..one of the first ones too ...and she is still with me

I had 3 SDs a MSD and a white Demon Unoa ...I sold them all to get my tinys

thats when my obsession with tinys started ...
I have acquired some larger dolls now ...and I rebought an old Megu , my family loved her
      ..and an Unoa 1 ..
      .
so I suppose the reverse was for me

    6. My first tiny was my Cherishdoll Alley and was, in fact, my first doll. and I really thought she was a lovely size and I've pretty much been addicted since. =3

    7. my first doll was a tiny, and at first it was omg so small i can take it everywhere. and then it was like crap this sucks to sew for. and my was an elfdoll tiny. but i'm fine with all size dolls now.

    8. My first tiny was my Lati Yellow Coco...when I held her for the first time I was overwhelmed by how little and precious she was. They feel more fragile! I'm definitely interested in having smaller dolls. SD's are a bit too much for me. I like MSD's and smaller!

    9. My first tiny was an Elfdoll Sylph too. When I opened the box, I thought omg, I can't believe I spent so much for this teeny tiny plastic doll. I sat her on my night table for a few days while I decided whether or not to keep her. Not long after that, though, I made her a Tinkerbell costume with little green pointy-toed shoes and pompoms on the toes, and before I was finished with it, I fell in love with her. Before the year ended, she had sisters and friends. Now I have a whole village of tiny creatures and I'm wild about all of them. They live harmoniously, but invisibly, in my house with my big dolls.

    10. My first was Lati Yellow xmas Miel (in my avatar). I wasn't shocked, maybe in awe? He was a little bigger than I thought, and I liked how sturdy he seemed. After collecting Blythe's & Pullips for so long, it was nice to have a doll that could stand on its own!! :)

    11. The first tiny I saw in person sent me into spasms of cuteness overload. I was so shocked by how small she was. She was a bambicrony misty rose roko elf. Oh my god, I didn't let her go that enite meet. And one month later my own tiny came in- my yoSD Chinatsu (2nd edition)...and thought I was prepared for the size, I couldn't get over how cute she was. She's so wonderful to hold and carry. I sit and play with her hands while I'm at my computer. she started my yo-addiction (I have plans for at LEAST 5 more in her size...though knowing me it will be much more than that). she's perfection in everyway. Now I'm waiting for the arrival of my first puki- I'll let you know how that is. I don't think I've quite prepared myself for the size.

    12. I had MSD Sharmin first and was delighted with her delicate hands, but just couldn't get on with her size and then Cutie Delf Mary came my way. I absolutely adore her. Couldn't get over how heavy she was. So solid and sturdy.

I made her so many clothes as the Ann Estelle patterns were readily available. I couldn't believe how poseable she was compared to Sharmin, but I wanted smaller still and got a Pocket Fairy Roel. Again smitten instantly. Then I had to get Serendipity Cumi because of her posing and very soon after that Lati White, my tiniest and Genie Lilica arrived.

My Lati White is actually not my fave because she simply can't sit or stand without help, even thought the smaller the better for me, but I found that Lilica was really incredible to pose and stand and she was my fave for ages. Don't tell the others.

I played with these four and even gave them a corporate name and house, the Pink Palace Pals. I can't separate them now. It would be so sad, even though they don't get played with as much.

I also went mad and made loads and loads of clothes for them. I sold so much, too. Really got totally hooked on these sizes. They were so perfect.

I then went up again and got my dream doll, HDL Teenie. It was wonderful having a larger doll again, but she didn't fit in with the tinies.

I was utterly in awe of the workmanship of the really tiny ones until I had a Puki as a gift and went absolutley ga ga.

And just as I was getting adjusted to a Puki along came the opportunity to get a Brownie Momo and again, ga ga over her. Now these two and all their special features far out play the others. It's sad that I don't play with the PPP gang but there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Ooops! I don't think I actually answered the question. Oh well... I'd love the Tin Man by DollTi. Now he's really pulling on my heart strings. He's less than 10cm and so intiricately carved. I really love quirky things and he meets all my desires for different.

    13. I was definitely shocked when my puki's came. Even though I had seen many pictures and thought I had a feeling for how small they were, it still shocked me at how truly tiny they were.

    14. Similar to SwitchfootKatie -- although I don't own a Puki, I saw one at a recent meet and was all: @w@ They is so teeny! TITCHY! I couldn't believe it! So cute! :D

    15. Yes, I was shocked. I thought I was prepared. I really did. I had Dawn dolls, and was really trying to guess at my future Elfdoll's physique. Dawn is still quite a bit bigger. I couldn't imagine it, I thought this doll coming couldn't be smaller, maybe shorter, but not smaller!

Then came my Brownies and my Puki hybrid, wow, they're so tiny! And Banji, I thought he'd be bigger than Dawn, but not in the least! So, yah, I thought I'd know, even with my Moona and Brackens. When they showed up, they were just as delicate, just as petite, just as beautiful as the others. Even so the body compare pictures make them look definately bigger than the Elfdoll, in reality the difference is so minimal, you don't notice it at all. And they're still smaller than Dawn!

    16. My first dolls were 60cm, and then I got a Bambicrony LSG Pepe. I opened her up and immediately thought OMG SHE'S SO SMALL *squee* She was smaller than I expected, or maybe just smaller than I was used to seeing. I loved it though. I'm used to her small stature now, and it just totally fits her character.

Of course, I want a Dollzone Sheep now, so that will be a whole new level of shock if I get one :XD:

    17. My first one was a Pukipuki, and even though I had collected and dressed 1/12th scale dolls before, I could not get over how small she was and how amazingly she could pose, I am still in awe of that little creature. My second one a Bambicrony Roko is just the right size she is just too cute for words.

    18. I was extremely shocked when I picked up my puki for the first time. It was also my first resin doll. I thought it was going to be heavier, and feel more like porcelain. I was really taken aback, and thought that the resin was too much like plastic and was too light/cheap feeling. And despite knowing the measurements, it was tinier than I had imagined. I thought, "I've paid that much for this tiny bit of fluff?!"

However, within just a couple of minutes, I was back to being as completely besotted as I was when I first saw pictures. :D The poseability and detail of pukis asounds me. I was also glad that it was tinier than I thought, since I have a huge fascination with small things. Tinier the better!

It also really helped when he got clothes/shoes/wig on. Then he started feeling like the "right" weight to me. Didn't hurt that he looks good in anything I throw his way! (Even skirts, haha.)

On the other hand, I really don't know how I'll feel about the MiniFee I plan on getting. Now I know what the resin is like, but I don't know if I'll like the size. 40cm seems huge!

    19. I was definitely shocked when I saw my orientdoll for the first time- I had gotten some knee high boots for my msd at the same time and they were as tall as Kimi! Even her box seemed ridiculously tiny.

I actually had some trouble bonding with her at first- I do like heavy (and big!) dolls. I didn't really know what to do with her for awhile. Then the lovely pooklaroux gave me a Ginny tutu that didn't fit her baha, and as Kimi sat there pouting at me in a giant puff of tulle, I fell in love. She's now the only one of my dolls that is out ALL of the time. Perfect portable size. I am amazed by her tiny hands and feet- they're detailed and cute! I wish I was more amazed by her joints, but that issue will be solved with the incoming puki!

    20. My first dolls were Pukis. I actually thought they would be a little bigger. Y'see, I saw so many pics of people holding them in their hands with most of their fingers still showing above the doll's head. I looked at my hand and went O___O TINY! I, um, forgot to account for the unusually small size of my hands. They take up almost my entire hand.

To be honest, I was astonished when my first MSD came. I was like, WOAH, HUGE! Although I will say that the detail in the pukis itty bitty faceup really wowed me.

    21. My first tiny was an Festivous Wishel. She was so little and sweet looking I ended up with 3 more Wishels! Before the tinies, I had an msd and an sd. I love all the sizes for various reasons, but I love the teenies because they can slip into a pocket or purse! I have also acquired a Bobobie Erin, and 2 DZ BB
's, with plans for more tinies, they are so addicting!

    22. I'd seen tinys before, so not shocked in that sense...I knew she'd be small. I was much more shocked by how fast she stole my heart. None of the bigger ones had even come close to "owning" me, so I was unprepared for how Fee would affect me. It was all downhill from there.

    23. I thought my OD Sos would be a little bit bigger. I was actually disappointed that they were so small. It's cute, but they're so small that they're more a hassle than a joy. :/

    24. So small! and such perfect little fingers and toes! And shes the only doll i have whos eyes follow me around the room :aheartbea shes such a little darling, i was in such awe

    25. My Petite Ai was my first doll to arrive and I fell in love instantly. Having any doll larger than a Blythe is odd, as Blythe clothes are fairly tiny. Making clothes for larger dolls is odd and hard to get used to!

    26. When I got my first SD, my first BJD, I was shocked and a little disappointed until I got accustomed to her and now I love her. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my first MSD. I was also very pleasantly surprised when I got my first anthro.

My first tiny was my Hana Angel and I was thrilled when I opened up her box! I love her different face plates. She went out that night with me on a date with my DH and I stayed up late trying on all kind of clothes on her.

I really like all size BJDs, but these little tinies are just so cool!

    27. My first tiny was Penelope, an Orientdoll So Ui who is my avatar and I was very shocked when I received her. She looked so fragile, yet she withstood the countless dress ups I did with her. I had never seen or heard about BJDs, until I came across her on eBay, I purchased her because she was different from my Kelly dolls and the family happily grew from there. You know, she's the only one besides the Pukisha that can stand very well on her own. She will always hold a special place in my heart :aheartbea

    28. my honest first thought ...this is perfection

I was more shocked how big and heavy the SDs were .

Tinybear, you've taken the words right out of my mouth. I honestly thought I was immune to ABJDs. Been lucky enough to see, and hold, all sorts of the Most Wanted models (Sooahs, Naripons, Tenshis, Bermans) and always found them too hefty. I knew that I preferred small over large vinyl dolls, but even the Naripons and Latis left me cold. Then I saw my first Puki -- wham. Hadda have one of my own! Almost drove my poor DH insane with my laments while I waited for a full 32 business days before my Hafra Haza went 'On Shipping', and since Ruri arrived I can't stop playing with her!

Next order of business was going to be saving for Moar Pukis, but I fell for a "last one, scratch & dent sale" Orientdoll vampire So. Her tiny hands & feet are sooo perfect & adorable, and once I know what I'm doing I want to retrofit Ruri with magnetic wings, but poor Amira is only about 82% on my personal Absolute Perfection Scale as against Ruri's 110% <grin>. Just as well, since Fairyland seems determined to suck my every dolly dollar...

On the other hand (nobody tell my DH!) I found myself looking at pictures of Narsha (whom I've never seen 'in person') and remembering that the 14" Betsy McCall was the first *vinyl* doll I fell in love with, and they've got the humongous wardrobe to prove it. Of course Narsha still qualifies as a "Tiny" even though she's more than triple the size of a Puki!

    29. My first tiny was Bobobie Nissa. I was surprised that the box weighed next to nothing. I was like "is she in there?" But when I opened the box up, I was in love. I can't believe there is so much detail in something that small. She seemed to be sculpted much better than even my SD sized Bobobies.

Then I went to a doll meet and started seeing the yo sized dolls. Can we say "love at first sight". Now I am waiting for my Leeke Soda. I think this size doll is just perfect for me. I can't wait to cuddle it.

    30. I have all the sizes but I do love my tinies the most. My first was a Pocket Fairy Minimay and I loved their size and being able to carry them around with you easily in a purse. I do love my tiny tinies like the PFs, Pukis, and OD So dolls as much as my Bambi mini-army (7 and counting...) and Yos.

    31. My first tiny was my precious Puki Sugar, Nano.

I was completely shocked at how tiny she was! I knew she shared the same measurments as one of the new Kelly dolls, but it didn't really hit me until I got her out of that box!

    32. My first tiny was Bobobie Erin on a boy body

    33. My first tiny has actually been my first and (for now) only doll. My puki, Devika, really surprised me. I knew they were small, but seeing her in person was like, "woah! She's so itty bitty!" and that made me love her more. Granted it's hard to take up close pictures of her because she's tiny and my camera doesn't allow the zoom I need, but I love her all the same.

    34. My first was a Puki. I knew he was going to be tiny, so I was not shock. But I am amazing how cute he is..... I love my Huckleberry

    35. My first tiny is a Lati Yellow Coco. She was so perfect and bald coming out of her huge box home bed and there she was all tiny and gorgeous. I wasn't so shocked as enchanted.

    36. My first tiny was also my first bjd. She was a Bambicrony Kumi, I was surprised how small she was and how young she looked. I was amazed at the whole ball jointed doll concept and couldn't quite believe such a wonderful thing existed..lol. I was of course, completely smitten and haven't looked back since.

    37. My first tiny is Puki Pipi and she's also my first bjd. I simply could not resist her. However, now I crave for more pukis

    38. I only own SDs, but when I saw my first tiny "in the resin", so to speak, I immediately knew why I only had SDs. The tininess terrified me! I was... freaked out, really. The tiny digits made me feel ...really weird. It wasn't right, to me. I like the big ones! I feel like like I'm going to damage them or eat or them or something that way!!

Maybe, uh, maybe I'm weird? Is anyone else weirded out by tiny dolls?

    39. Actually, I think I'm weird because I'm a bit weirded out by the larger dolls.

But I think most people who visit this section are tiny doll fans so I doubt you will find many here who don't like the tinies.

I agree with tinybear's first thoughts, mine were along the same lines...I opened my first tiny up (a tiny Elfdoll Min Del Re) and thought, "Perfection!" I was in awe of the detail on such a tiny little thing. It was then that I knew the tiny ones were for me, I don't think I'll ever own a larger BJD then my Lati yellows.

    40. My first (and only :p) tiny is a lati yellow. I was so amazed by the intricate little details on her face. And her tiny little fingers and toes. I was also impressed how sturdy she is for being so small. She is definitely one of my favorites. :} Now I feel like I need an army of tinys!

    41. Ok, I got my first puki today....I was in total shock, seeing her. I got her sleeping face during the event, so that was the first thing I saw, and my jaw dropped at the tiny-ness. Oh goodness, is she small. I mean, I KNEW she was going to be small, but THIS small? Wasn't prepared. But I have fallen for her- hard. Little Tate is so precious to me now. And her freinds have shipped so they'll be here soon too. For those looking to get a puki words can not express how small and adorable they are. I have my yo, and she's always seemed small and light to me. Compared to my new little one, Lucy is GIANT. It's..shocking...how big Lucy is compared to Tate. But soooo cute! Tate is a very pleasant surprise.

    42. My first tiny was an angelfantasy Sheya. I had seen tinnies in person before, and he is YOSD sized, so not as tiny as some I've seen, so I wasn't really suprised that way. But I was kind of amazed by how much I loved him. He was just so perfect right out of the box, no eyes, no face up, but perfect anyway. I didn't think I could love another doll as much as I love my DZ Yuu, and especially not a tiny doll. But I really do adore my little Kitsune. I was also amazed by how much I want another one. :sweat Kitsune fits a character, but I don't really have any more tiny characters really. Still I really want more tinnies.

    43. I have several tinies on the way (and they will all be my first BJD's as well as tinies). I'm so excited, and can't wait to see them in person: the Supia babies (one each Sesol, Seron, and Sena), Jaimedoll Ara, and now Puki Piki. No more orders for me for a while. I cannot believe I ordered so many dolls. My husband will not be amused, but he'll get over it :-).

    44. My first tiny was my Lati Sp. Lumi ^^

I remember holding her box and thinking 'Uh... little bigger then I though >.>;' as I was used to my SDs being the full length of the box XD.

Then I opened her up and lifted her out - she was so small! And so light in my hands! I was amazed by the detail in such a little face X3!

      I couldn't imagine anything smaller - until I got my Puki >.>; Which just felt... too small? I suppose it was the fact she was so default now, as now she's gone, I kinda wish I had another little puki o.o;

I have to say, the tiny I have that's felt most right have been my Yos. <3 I went to a doll meet and saw Xi feng's (sp?) little Kasumi named Iku. She was so perfect! A little floppy and baby-like, but so sturdy and heavy <3 I loved how she flopped and cuddled when I held her and stood so sturdilly and cutely when I tried to stand her! I loved her so much, I got my own Kasumi, then a Kuuta a few months later ^^. I now plan at least two more Yos. <3 They are most deffinately my favourite tiny size.

    45. First when I saw them I that they are so beatifull...The next thing that comes was how on earht they are made so small...I love that size...:D

    46. My first tiny was BooBoo SanBan, a pocket fairy. She was SOOO cute. I think I was pretty aware of her size, I'd seen them IRL before.

But I was having trouble finding clothing for her, so when I heard naripons fit into kelly clothing, I got Juniper Snowpea. Now SHE amazed me - she is REALLY tiny. In fact, that's what I hear most when I bring her places, and people see her - first words are most of the time, "OMG she is SO TINY! I didn't know she was THAT small!"

      tiny, yes. awesome, oh, yes.

    47. My first tiny - and the first doll I got even though I was waiting for a MSD when I ordered her - was a SleepingElf tiny Moona. She was actually the size I imagened her to be - except she was slimmer than I thought she'd be.

I totally love her but I have a problem with her. I can't figure out what clothes she should wear. And I find it very hard do sew for her. I have trouble with handling something so small, perhaps because my fine movements didn't really develop like they should when I was little because my eyesight was very poor. I do love her but I wish I could find the perfect outfit for her.

My next tiny was a Soom Mini Gem Uyoo Elf and I knew what size she'd be because she's the same size as Barbie. She's also perhaps my best poser - though my DZ MSD is great too.

      Dustbunnie

    48. My smallest doll is my Pippitan, but she's certainly not at tiny as some. The most shocking part were how huge her feet were compared to her tiny stature.

    49. I got my girl today, a bobobie March. The height didn't really surprise me, that was expected but the rest of her was so "wow!" She's also my first doll so thats a part of it but she's just so awesome. I love her. Her thighs and butt are far bigger then I expected though XDDD

    50. My first tiny doll was cherishdoll. I was really shock because they were so tiny... and cute!!! They was tiny enough to fit my pocket to carry it!!!

    51. My first BJD was a Hana Devil Efldoll. I had collected 16" vinyl fashion dolls and I just loved my 8" BJD and how you could change her wig, faceplates & eyes and she posed so well. I also loved the feel of the resin in my hands.

Then I went to the Elfdoll Showroom and saw a tiny MinDelRe and thought I'd never have a BJD that tiny...they're too small.

Well, now I own 3 Elfdoll tinies; 3 Banji dolls; 2 Naripons and 3 PUKIs.

YES, I luvs me some TINIES!!!!

    52. My first tiny is a Soul Doll Metel. I actually got her secondhand from Moony. When I first saw this girl, it was pure love. Moony had brought her over to my house to get some photos taken of her, and I dug up some barbie clothes, and we just started dressing her up and snapping photos. Now, I had already collected barbies, so her size wasn't really a shocker for me, but the way she was made. She fascinated me intensely. So, naturally, I asked Moony about her; how she was made, what she was made of, so on and so forth.
Flash forward to about a month later (Give or take. I'm guessing, because I really can't remember the time frame. :sweat ) Moony is customizing Aphrodite (Which was her Metel's name), and while her right calf was drying from having a coat of sealant put on it, her calf falls from where it was perched on its paintbrush to dry, jamming the paintbrush into the leg, cracking the resin, and through another series of events, the brush handle breaks, making the damage permanent. So, unsure of what to do, Moony puts the rest of Aphrodite into her box, and puts the box away.
Flash forward again to a couple months ago, and Moony has decided to fix her Metel. She decides to just buy another body, and create a new character for her. She is successful in acquiring a new body, but is unsure of what to do with the old one. I, already being smitten with her size and mold, jump on it. Headless and damaged, I still wanted her. This was the first BJD I'd ever had the pleasure of playing with, much less seeing up close. Moony was kind enough to make her a gift, seeing as I was short on cash at the time, and allowed me to take her home with me. Once I had her home, I was a bit at a loss as to what to do with her. She was headless and partially legless, so I wasn't too sure if I'd even keep her. So, I dug out the same barbie clothes I'd dressed her up in, kept her clothed, and basically bonded with her until I'd be able to figure out what to do with her. After a week, I'd decided to assign her the character of Appleberry, a fairy I'd roleplayed in an online Labyrinth session from long, long ago. My only hiccup was what to do about her head. I'd checked the Souldoll website for Metel heads, but they didn't sell them! So, I turned to the trusty DoA marketplace, and was able to find a head at a reasonable price. (thanks, Valli!) I wasn't able to find any eyes that I'd liked for her, so I searched through my beading supplies for some nice, attractive beads to use for her eyes, and ended up settling for some clear aurora borealis plastic beads. They seemed to suit her, so she stayed with them. Moony was kind enough to make a pink fur wig for her, and Appleberry was nearly complete. The only thing she's missing now is a faceup, and that leg.

Sorry for the copious amounts of tl;dr, but I just can't help it, the girl makes me passionate.

    53. I got to see some pukis at the london meet, I knew they were small, but they look totally different irl than in their stock photos at fairyland!
It's funny how you can KNOW how small something is, but not really REALISE it until you see one in person!

    54. Wanting to get a tiny BJD forever it seems and since I collect other dolls 8" and under the size didn't surprise me, but the feel of her in my hand and the poses she could do were awesome! Price played a big factor in choosing and always will in my doll collections. Just how I choose to spend my dolly dollars! Lati White and Yellow, an Orientdoll Tiny and a Puki Puki will be some of the next ones to choose from.

An overdose on cuteness indeed to paraphase on early comment on this topic!

I think my shock came in when I saw how tiny they were in relation to the larger dolls. I saw a picture story just today with a Bobobie and a HUGE (to me) BJD next to it and holding it in other pictures. I wish people would take more pics of dolls in relation to every day objects so I could get a better idea of scale!

    55. I was totally unprepared for how small my Bobobie Cookie was going to be, she's supposed to be 14cms, but 14cms on a ruler seems way bigger than 14cms of resin goodness! When she arrived I was astonished and thought she was far too small for me, but I've gradually got used to her.

    56. Yup, shocked would be the right word. My first tiny was a Puki and the only tiny I had ever seen before that was a Customhouse Ai (either Bisou or Ange, I don't remember). So when I got my Puki home I still had that image of a 20-30 cm doll in my head even though I knew that Pukis only are 10 cm.

So when I opened the box and found this fingerhigh little doll I realised that 10 cm is very small even for a tiny :o

    57. Although I like the MSDs, I think I'm in love with all things tiny. Tiny Bear mentions Pippa dolls - wow that's a blast from the past. What I like about the tiny dolls is that you can collect loads and you won't run out of space! I have artist teddy bears and soon found I hadn't got shelf space. So then I started collecting miniature bears and found you can keep so many more in a small space! So now I'm starting with dolls! i guess I'm a compulsive collector of all things teeny tiny and the tiny's fit nicely into a 'fantasy' style 1/12th dollshouse too...although that would take up a bit more space LOL

    58. My first tiny was a Banji and my initial reaction was impressed amazement at so much delicate detail in such a tiny tiny doll - not just the sculpt but the faceup too. Pippa dolls were rpobably the nearest non-BJD equivalent I had already encountered, and Much as I still love my Pippas, they really don't compare.

Unfortunately it has given me *high* expectations for other tinies - which can lead to me being sadly disappointed (my recently recieved Notdoll Lucy, for example is very very shoddy and a great disappointment... and not just in comparison to Banjis)

    59. Hmm, I'm not sure if she's considered a teeny, but my first teeny (and only teeny!) is a Bobobie Isabella.
      :3
I wasn't shocked when I got her, but I was when I first saw her. I got her at a convention, so I had only seen other dollfies that the patrons were carrying, and most were the very BIG ones. Volks SD and whatnot.
And when I went searching for my own, I found Isabella :3 I didn't know they came that small, much less not be the smallest of them all! XD
But I renamed her Emma and have been -very- pleased with my beautiful girl!
      Too bad she's still bald!
      XD

    60. Now that I am a "tiny owner" I can answer this!

I never wanted one. I loved my 43cm dolls so much. They are the right size to dress, model and photograph. But I saw someone's Yo-SD by Volks and went nuts. I never would have wanted it two years ago. She arrived last week and it is just pure "love". She is just so much fun. I love those big eyes, the fact she can travel so well, store easily and fits all those props I have left-over from my "other doll" days!

      Now I want more!!!

By the way, great thread! Thank you!
