Your first Tiny Doll! Tell me Why! :3

I didn't think I would get one, but then I was browsing the sales threads and I totally fell in love with a Bambicrony Lullaby Elf Lotti. Happily, I was able to buy her on layaway, and now she lives with me. The funny thing is that even though I like other Lottis, this particular one was the only one that grabbed me. Here she is:

Now I have a Soom Syen head and DIM body coming to make a hybrid, so that'll be my second tiny. I still mostly want SDs, but tinies are pretty endearing.

My first was Fee, an AR Genie Lilica. I chose her because after doing much research, she was the one that made the most sense for me--in size, poseability, and price. Best of all, she could wear Kelly doll clothing.



I wasn't expecting what came next...
I now know that once a tiny finds a home where they are happy, they invite all their tiny friends to come and live with them.

That's pretty much how it goes with Tinys. You start with one, then it's all downhill from there.

However, Fee has remained my absolute favorite out of all the dolls I own. Not even a contest.

My first tiny, and first doll was a Puki Sugar. She was small, adorable and a manageable size for my first one. In retrospect it seems 'right' that I went with a tiny first, I've always loved dollhouses and little tiny things ^_^ She's also a compact travel size

Clochette, WOW, that´s some serious tiny collection.

It happened for me, too... I saw Lati Yellows, Pocket fairies and PukiPukis in photos and liked them enough to get interested to watch doll photos in forum, but didn´t even consider really buying them because of the price. Then Fairyland published the first Littlefees, I saw Ante and boom! Love at first sight. I resisted the urge to get her home for some months but ordered one - being so sure she would be ONE and ONLY as these dolls are so extremely expensive.

Be warned, Lawlietuser... tiny dolls seem to want to hang around lots of friends!

 

My first tiny was my first doll, well not complete, she arrived as just a head. I found her in the marketplace when I was still a newb and totally fell in love, I'm still not sure why becous usually I don't like the animé look so much but I think it's the 'poor puppy in a shelter' look she has in her eyes. She is still my only tiny of this size, I got 2 other tiny's but they aren't her friends as they are bigger and belong to a different story.

In august Mimir will be with me three years

 

At first i really thought I'd get an SD, but then I was handed a (Soom) tiny at a meet and it just felt the right size for me. It took a lot of searching, but finally I settled on Soom Sweet, my Hippu He had the most adorable little smile and just screamed 'You Want ME!'.



Well... I wanted another one to be his friend so in came Nuu, a Soom Ai:



And I've got at least one more planned... I got hooked that's for sure!

 

My very first tiny ever is my Naripon Lucky Clover. I was browsing Ebay and found her. I knew nothing about BJD's but decided to give it a try and like other posters have said I've been hooked ever since. My Nari is still one of my favorites

 

About six months had passed since I recieved my first doll, who is on the taller side of SD. (Soom Beryl)

Well, Fairyland releases these things called LittleFees... And Ante snagged me and hard.

Few months later...

Lirael Arai. She came as a WS Ante, but has since been upgraded to an Elf Ante faceplate (same body).





And she came with an extra Pukisha faceplate... Who then turned into this guy (Fairyland LTF Pukisha):



And then.. This little hoofstomping jerkface showed up (Soom Glot):



And she's demanded that I find her boyfriend, so he's in the works... he'll be here in a few months. *sigh* Little resin wallet-drainers.

But I don't mind. I think it'll all work out. I'll have 4 tinies, 4 SDs by the time this is all over and I get bodies done. Far cry from just one. :P

 

A Pocket Fairy Minimay was my very first tiny. I always admired them and was determined to get one. I got her in the DOA MP in 2005. I like to dress her in a variety of things and she has a ton of shoes courtesy of my local doll shop that had a good selection of things I could use for her.


In the larger size, my first was a Volks Yo-SD Kuuta. He came soon after. I love to dress him usually in little sailor suits and old fashioned overalls and the like but right now he's a modern little boy.

I now have like 59 tinies, mostly PukiPuki! When Puki came into the scene, I avoided them for like 6 months and then caved. I almost have 1 of every type of face mold. I am just missing the new Ante. I raided my sister's Kelly clothes collection for my Puki and she is never going to get that stuff back! I am making miniature doll houses for them. It's going to take awhile though!

I do love variety in my tinies. I have Volks Yo-SD, Pipos, Orientdoll So, BambiCrony Ciao Bella, Souldoll Sweet, DIM tinies, Felixdoll Brownie & Small Comfort, Littlefee, RealPuki. All my dolls have an extensive clothes and shoes collection and though each doll has their own wig and eyes. Many of my dolls are good with sharing their clothes and shoes.

 

My first tiny was a Tinybear BonBon - someone was selling one, I fell in love with the pic and bought her. I only have one other tiny at home at the moment - a Tinybear Moona, but I'm waiting for a Coco. And my wish list is now almost all tinies (there's a couple of MSDs on there, too, but I'm not sure about them now!)

 

My first tiny was my Pocket Fairy Roa, from MinoruWorld back in 1995, and since then she's been joined by 60+ other tinies-2 more Pocket Fairies, 5 Lati Green, 3 Lati yellow Sp, 2 Luts Cutie Delfs, 3 Leekeworld girls, Domuya Potpourri, 2 Dollzone BBs, Orientdoll So, 3 Customhouse Petite Ai, 3 Customhouse Ange Ai, 2 Bisou Ai, 1 Brownie Momo, 12 Pukis, 17 Little Fees, 2 Bambi Ciao Bellas, and 23 Volks Yo SD and Yo tenshis.

I do not have any yet. I find the ordering process daunting for BJD's and actually it keeps me from spending hundreds of dollars.
I prefer full set dolls which isn't easy in the BJD world. Tinys and 10" and under are my preference -- i love seeing everyones beauties!!

 

My first tiny is going to be a HDF Muffin. I NEVER thought I'd get a tiny. Ever. But I have been looking at pictures of her for a long while and finally figured, hey why not, they seem cute.

Now... I think I'll end up like clochette with an entire army in the end xDD Is see so many gorgeous tinies, and I just want them all.

 

My first tiny, and only bjd, is a Lati white Bayer that I bought second hand off of the Plastic Paradise Blythe doll forum. Now that I have joined DoA and looked at a lot of dolls I find that I prefer Fairyland faces over Lati and have Tyni & Soso on layaway with DDE. After I have them paid for I would like to get a Pukifee Ante that can raid the Blythe wardrobe for clothes.

 

Once you get marketplace access..... you're doomed. XD Or, at least your wallet is.

Let's see.
My first tiny was a 14cm BBB Lucky off of the MP. She was $50, lol, so that's why I got her. XD It was a complete and total impulse buy, since I never planned to own a tiny, and they didn't interest me in the least. However, I haven't regretted it; Abi is the perfect size to carry around (which is something else I swore I'd never do) and an interesting challenge to photograph. I bought a second BBB tiny to mod, and now, I actually want a doll smaller than her as well, maybe a puki or a lati white. XD
Dunno when that's going to happen, though, since I have several other dolls on my wishlist and a body for my SD head to buy.
But we'll see. ^^

My first tiny goes back quite a few years, one of my oldest BJD,
and a unique find now on DOA. Please meet Munkie.
Munkie is a Pippitan2 from pippilongc, a doll loved by few, disliked by more.
She's one of my all-time favorite dolls. I just adore her face, those knobby
joints, her huge feet, and her general toothy-smiled disposition.

 

My first tiny was my first BJD, a Pocket fairy Kitty (Bluefairy). I still love her so much, but since then I have been attracted to many dolls, and now I have dolls from almost all sizes. I was in love with a limited Tiny fairy May by the time but the price was too high and I was afraid of customs here in Brazil. My Emily (kitty) arrived without problems and I remember her details and cuteness stole my heart.

 

My 1st purchased is a Fairyland RealPuki Soso. That mischeivious grin looks just like my granddaughter. But I'm still waiting for her to arrive so I bought a Doll Leaves Dingding to play with.
I've always loved tinies. It started with mattel Little Kiddles in the 60's. (I'm telling how old I am) and my collection includes numerous antique all-bisque most of which are under 4 inches.

 

I loved Little Kiddles too! I hope I did the right thing, I'm a newbie and I just requested a OrientDoll JI Vampire Head and an OrientDoll SO body. I hope they go together.

 

Pippitan!!! You so rarely see her, poor girlie. She's so cute.

Luarwulf, I think that is the prettiest BBB tiny I've ever seen. She's so striking.

 

I actually just got my first tiny. A Soom Afi! I wasn't in to tinies when they first came out but earlier this year I was feeling dissatisfied with my mostly SD crew and was thinking of things I hadn't done with the hobby yet. Revamped my crew and started window shopping the little ones. Was thiiis close to getting one of the Pirate Lati Yellows but the order period was at an awkward time for me. Found a complete Afi on the MP for a pretty good price and took the chance. I chose Afi because I love tan dolls and because the two heads/feet let me cheat a little and make two different characters. The open eyed human will be a cute little girl named Arabella. The sleepy eyed faun is a little boy named Absalom:



They don't have a lot of clothes yet but I'm trying to sew for them, I made the wrap pants he's wearing. Hopefully Afi will be my only tiny for a while, I've heard how these little ones tend to multiply.

 

My first two were Brownies...so cute.

I loved the fact they were adorable, affordable and portable.

Then Fairyland Fever struck (For which there is no cure!)
I have a puki Sugar, pukifee Ante, littlefee AnteElf.
Leah LTF faceplates are here and sometimes used, pukifee Zoe is on layaway at DDE.

Then I saw a pic of CustomHouse Gaby........... she is very much wanted.

 

My first tiny is my Fairyland Littlefee Rachel named Annaliese~ When I was looking to get another doll, I really wanted an SD boy, but my parents wouldn't let me get one. ;_; So I looked into YoSDs. I really only wanted one because they were much cheaper than SDs and I don't like MSDs that much for some reason, but that's changed now. xD Anyways, I was so worried I wouldn't like her when she came, but when she got here, I was so happy! I really love her now and want to get more some day~

My first tiny was my Hana Angel that you can see in my avatar. Since she isn't the tiniest anymore, I don't really consider her tiny. I got suckered by Hana after seeing owner pictures and becoming entirely enthralled with the different face-plates. First thing I dressed Hana in are clothes that my daughter and I had from our 8" Madeline collection.

My tiniest are my Elfdoll tinies and my first was a combination of Olivia and Kai. I had originally wanted Kai and thought that was who I purchased. When I got the layaway paid off and she arrived, it was actually Olivia. I fell in love with Olivia, but still wanted Kai so I immediately got Kai. My reasons for getting Kai are simply that I fell for owner pictures and thought a doll that size would be really interesting. They mainly wear things I've made for them and their original outfits, although I have supplemented a few things from sellers here..

My first tinies are going to be Bobobie Erin and Eric I love twins and these two are great erin has a cute little face and you cant beat the price. Erin will be dressed in a pink sleeper and have a stuffed bunny and Eric will be in a blue sleeper and have a tiny teddy bear

Anyone know where I can even get sleepers for dolls this small? or would I be better of making them myself?

First came Ciel, my Soom Bygg, and he brought his brother Andromeda with him, who is a Soom Beyla.They brought Aries' head home with them, Soom R. bygg head. Then came Terracotta, my Puki Pong Pong. Soon will be my Fir, a Impldoll Harley (tree baby)

 

My little darling Aurora, she is a doll-love Ke and i fell in love with her cheeks lol I have a few outfits i'm looking into getting another wig for her (when my funds allow it) but so far right now she is my only little one but I am looking into getting more. Its a snowball effect :3

 

Katelyn, a Yo-SD Papi, is my first (and only) BJD.



I never considered getting anything but a tiny. I love everything in miniature - in fact at first I worried that Katelyn would be too big for me. But she isn't and I just adore her! I've had her for nearly 2 months and still everytime I see her I think how cute she is and have to pick her up!

I just fell in love with Yo-SDs from reading the Yo-SD thread, and when I saw that Volks was selling Papi I thought she was so adorable and I knew she was who I wanted - I'd been wanting a BJD for about a year.

And, as everyone says, tinies multiply - I'm waiting for a pukifee and have many other on my wishlist!

 

My first tiny BJD is going to be a BBB Erin NS. If all goes according to plan, she should be here by friday at the latest! ^^'
I was actually hoping for a PukiPuki, but I love BBB as they were my first sculpt.
On the side, I was a little worried about getting a smaller doll because I've seen photos where everything the cuties are wearing looks too big! But hey, to each doll their own.

 

Of YoSD my first was a DBDoll Adai. He was both perfect for my character and had a lovely body. Afterwards I made my way to doom falling in love with Tiny MD....

And, my first of many planned under 20cm dolls was a Leeke K Lani
She caught my eye because she was so different from what I was used to see in tiny dolls xD..... I guess you could say the tinier the more addictive

 

My first doll was an SD
Then I quickly followed him with a BBB march
I found I bonded so much better with my march. I bought her because of her price and because i could see
an opportunity to start modding and face-upping on her!
I adore my march!

 

My first Tiny was Bonnie my BBB Elfkin (she's the one in my Avatar) I just loved how small she was and her price was just right!

Since then I've bought a BBB Isabella to keep her company
I'm saving all my etsy store money for a RealPuki Soso, I just love its little smiling face!

and someday I'd love a PukiPuki too (the Ante is one of my favorites)

My first was a Volks, but he wasn't really mine. I just didn't want my daughter to sell him. Since at that time I couldn't justify $500 for a doll, I gave him up.

A few years later and I'm at my first doll meet. Loads of admiring, I kept returning to the little ones, but none caught my attention, until, a puki pong was thrust into my hands. I was lost, then and there. But that's not all: my 50th birthday was coming up, so if I asked real nice, and made sure I wanted it, I may get one.

Lest is around 3 years old now, But has been My first and only BJD.
Only Until this month have I bought another BJD, Still waiting on It's arrival.

Unlike all the rest of the BJD, I never thought as serious as to actually purchase
one, until I saw Zuzu Delfs.
( I still like the Humanoid BJD but I Personally prefer to Own Anthro )

Models were out, then sold out. I wanted one, But was still on the side of thinking about it.
"Did I want to spend *that* much money"?

Well That became very clear when this Model of Zuzu Delf LIO was released.
The Color scheme of blonde and light brown took me right off my feet.
And thus bought him, being my first BJD, and Holiday Gift, That year.

 

Realpuki Soso. Actually she was the first BJD I ordered.

Why? Just look at this smile!

I'm not easily overwhelmed by cuteness and impressed by "small child pattern", but the first time I saw one I started to drool.

 

Malice. I was browsing Deviantart and saw a Orientdoll Dong dress as Puck from Midsummer's Night Dream. I kept going back to the picture and finally looked at what he was......I was lost then and there....and many more have followed.

I actually love tinies. They might be my favorite size. I can carry them around easily and they're so cute!

 

my first tiny was actually my first doll^^ he's a 28cm 5*Doll Tong Tong.

the reason I chose him was because I had been longing for a BJD for almost 5 years, and 5*Dolls are very well priced. I fell in love with his sculpt on the website and I knew he absolutely had to be my first. As for others, I have one other doll, and she is a 15cm Bobobie Elfkin named Tiramisu~

This is a nice topic.

My first tinny was the last doll I received in my family, she is the only doll that is not on SD size. Tuulikki is a I Doll ARRA, I bought her because I need a small doll to create a fairy. I must say I am really in love with 1/6 size dolls, and I must buy other ones to be Tuulikki’s friends A_A

 

My first (and so far only) tiny is a Cherishdoll Chubby. I got her because I really liked the way that sculpt looked, but soon after I fell in love they stopped making the demon chubby sculpt. I happened to see one here on the MP, and it was tan as well, so I had to get her. It was fate. Justine is probably my favorite doll, and I'm planning on getting a Puki Pong Pong this year, which will give her someone smaller to pick on.

 

My first was my tiny Elfdoll and I haven't bought anything bigger since! Tinies take up so little room and are too much fun to dress and photograph, that I don't think I'll add anything bigger in the future.

 

My first tiny was really tiny--my Elfdoll Tiny Kai, "Innis Free." I had seen a number of BJDs but did not really think they were for me until I saw Innis Free on the photostream of a friend & fell in love. My friend had purchased her new but for a number of reasons, they weren't a good fit together. When she was put up for adoption I jumped at the chance even though I didn't really know what I was getting into! After that, I quickly bought a Lati White & a Lati Yellow. At the moment I am planning on moving up in size but I don't think I will ever get any doll smaller than Tiny Kai!

 

For me it was simple, who could resist this face? He stole my heart.

My first was a BBB Sunny but I sold him. My second was a Leeke D Peanut...sold him too. I also had a B&G Leile...but that one got sold.

So, technicaly he wasn't my first, (more like third I think. Maybe fourth since he was just a head for a while) but since he's the first one to stick around I count him as first!

When I had him on his first body he was really only wearing cast-off clothes. I couldn't find much to fit him...the Leeke D type 1 body is really pear-shaped. Those big hips and butt didn't fit the YO sized clothes I liked. When I got him the LTF body (maybe two years ago??) he fit in everything!! So of course he has a gazillion tons of clothes now. He mostly wears RosenLied, Dollheart and fluffy, cute stuff I find that I like. He also likes bunnies.

 

My first tiny was a petite ai Sariel (by then CustomHouse) I saw on e-bay and fell in love with. I was so excited when I won her! She was actually my first bjd of all too...and I was smitten...many many more have joined since then.

 

My first tiny was also my first doll, a Dollzone BB Jing. I fell in love with it on first sight and ordered it on my birthday. Only 3 days later he arrived. He's been with me for 4 years, but I sold him now. His name was Damiën, but Dami literally grew to MSD and now SD.

My first and only tiny (so far) is my Littlefee Dark Elf Soo. I was poking around on the Denver Doll Emporium website when I saw her picture. She had such lovely eyes; she really took my breath away. I didn't get her immediately...but I kept going back to look, until I finally caved and ordered her. Not long after that, I learned that Fairyland was backlogged, and some people were receiving damaged dolls!

Thankfully after 4 months of waiting, she arrived undamaged. After the initial new-doll feeling wore off, it took me a while to bond with her, but eventually I did, and now she's my favorite.
