This is such a awesome thread, love reading everyone’s responses… My current favorite thing to buy right now is lingerie the more elaborate and lacy the better…XD. I have subjected many of my male dolls to much lace…
New My favorite garments to make are period lingerie - especially from the Edwardian period. I often find a museum garment photo, spend hours making up a pattern and then days making up the garment. Fine cotton batiste fabric with French cotton laces. here is Sam in her heirloom petticoat and chemise (F60 Sircca, modded neck) Spoiler: and just the chemise Spoiler: minifee with heirloom petticoats Spoiler: RaccoonDoll girl with heirloom pantalets
New My favourite doll clothes to make are Fantasy Medieval outfits for my Fashion size dolls and their families. I'm always on the lookout for special fabrics, or outfits made from unique fabrics, at Value Village, since the fabric stores don't carry anything interesting anymore. I prefer to make very elaborate costumes with lots of handwork and beading. Most of the outfits in the photo are made from fabric ends, scarves, and cut up clothing from the thrift store. I would also like to make more costumes inspired by other historical periods, but other than a few Victorian ones, I haven't really gotten around to it yet. So many ideas, but not nearly enough time.
New I haven't really started it yet, but I am super excited to make clothing for my dolls from the late 18th through mid-late 19th centuries. I've always had a fascination with history, to the point where I'm pretty obsessed with it.
