Oh man, my worst pictures are horrid. xD Day after I got my doll and I was just starting out.

I used to love these but now I look back and I'm like, oh no. She had a horrible quality fur wig, and her "dress" was a handkerchief. xD

In my opinion, this is my best picture I've done to date.

I love how the colors turned out and the atmosphere and the shimmer in her eyes. Just, unf.

I sadly don't have all that many photos of my dolls but...

My favorite from this last week, mostly becuase you can see his deer tail sticking up:

Here's an old one. Shiny cardboard just does not work well as a background. The pose is unnatural too.



Something recent. The lighting, background, outfit and props all came together well in this one, I think.

 

My worst photo is deliberately bad. I entered it into DoA's 2009 Anniversary Worst Photo Contest. It's the only DoA contest I've won! I tried to include all the "bad doll photo" cliches.



I always tend to think that my latest photo is my best and hopefully it is because that means I'm improving. Here's one of my latest.

Unfortunately I haven't saved for a super awsome camera and the one I have is terrible my phone takes better pictures so that's wat I use and as you can imagine there's some bad ones
So this is what I used to think a photo shoot was... bad!
But resently I've bought lamps and actually tried to get the shot.
Best one of my lovely couple but my favorite so far is this one of Elumi it speaks her character perfectly its nothing fancy lol

while not exactly my worst or best photos - there is so much worse to go from, but I've literally taken tens of thousands of photos throughout the years and the sheer contrast between these two is just incredible to me

My worst ... well ... one of my worst. The usual "my first ever BJD and my first time taking a picture of it!" photo.
The lack of attention to background (or even blurring), the lack of focus on the subject (her face mostly), her pose, the lighting, her over all appearance. The whole pic just looks wrong XD


And my best ... I always think that one of my latest uploads is the best. Sooo ...
I think I did good in the focus and lighting and background and eye direction and all that stuff XP

I always liked taking photos so I want to believe I'm not so bad at it XD but I'm not very good at it either because I don't have a proper camera and sometimes there's just something wrong...

I like this one best because I managed to capture her eyes, I have since changed them to some yellow metallics that can capture the light without me doing anything special but I was pretty satisfied when I got this shot XD


There are so many things wrong with this pic (and her being blank is not one of them): The dress is not her size, the wig isn't fitted properly, I had put her legs on backwards, the pose in unnatural, it was too late in the day and natural light was scarse casting a blue shadow... It was just a "My doll is almost complete let me show you" kind of shot XD

 

Worst: One of the very first picture I took of my first doll back in 2008.


Best: Happy to say I have improved over the years XD

 

I haven't taken my best photograph yet. I have a lot of photos that are good, but I'm not sure when I'll take one that I consider my best.

 

Oh! I so agree! But I have the is even more worse. My problem is that I do not like to be photographed. Photographer must feel the stuff, the light, the composition ... I think I do not have it. But thanks to your lovely photos I am learning and try.

So this may not be the worst photo I have since gosh I have so many bad ones! xD but it's pretty bad anyways, just look at all that random stuff in the background xd this was taken way back in 2008 when I first got into photography



Aaaaand this one is one of my most favourite (I'm really into the spooky stuff). This one was taken just recently The one in 2008 was taken with a mobile phone camera and this one with a Canon Eos 1100D

I usually don't even post my pics if i am not happy with them, but this old photo of my Xandor is pretty crapy xD


And as for best. I don't have one that comes to mind as outstanding or anything ^^'

The best doll photo I ever took of a doll was out back under the trees. Everything was perfect. Will try to find that photo. This thread reminds me I need to get back to more variety in my pictures. Enjoyed seeing these. Thanks

I haven't been practising over the years, but the new photos definitely looks better now.

 

Haha oh gosh! This must be the picture that I don't like of all the ones I had taken so far. It's because she doesnt look right in this wig, that i bought for her from Nine9style.
It's just to big for her, she looks a little funny. x'D



To the picture i am most proud of myself taking is probably this one.
I love how the roses are in the background and the colors. This brings me summer feelings!

 

I don't have any of my worst photos, but one of my favourites is this one that i took of my Pukifee. I love it because i almost feel that i have caught him mid movement, and that he will move the moment after it is taken.
