He looks also very girly with this braided wig at the moment but I hope I am able to make clothes matching the wig/style soon.

I'm sad to see no new posts yet, so I'll revive with my Zopa, who arrived to me a little less than a month ago!


He's... a work in progress! I have to start over on the face-up, because a last-minute change to the eyelids turned out to be a mistake, so I'll be wiping once I have new sealant. I'm excited for round 2 though.

Zopa is such a stunning doll, I'm so glad I was able to get him right at the end of the pre-order!

@Youpla In your recent post selling in-stock Zopas, you said you won't be selling him on this body any more if you offer him again. Does that mean he'll be a head only in future, or are you making a new body? Speaking of which, I am adoring the previews of the new girl! I can't wait to see her complete!

I don't think i'll open a new preorder for zopa. I said that because i'll have some for the Ldoll festival with a new color. But preorder are over.

What a gorgeous boy he is. I didn't even know he existed until 30 minutes ago when I saw @nattherat 's boy in the database but I'm in love. I do hope someday you'll reconsider opening orders for him.

I am hoping to be able to pick up a Zopa at LDoll this year to be the apprentice to my dwarf smith and wanted to ask if anyone had tried Iplehouse KID clothes on him yet? Specifically I am looking at this set (which is kina more hobbit than dwarf XD) because I want to pick it up in advance to drag it with me to LDoll.

(Excited? Me? Why you think so? XDD)

 

@Doomtrain Thanks for the info! My Zopa is currently wearing JID trousers, which are of course too big, but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry, with his wide hips. Luckily they look comfortably loose, rather than swamping. I now know KID is an option!

Ahh, I'm so happy. I managed to nab the dark tan Zopa of the last sale today, so I'm finally getting one home myself too

Congrats @WinonaFlammery ! There's not enough pictures of this beautiful boy around. (Partially my fault, I can't redo my paint until it gets warmer and drier! I can't wait until it does, for that reason.)

 

Thank you There certainly aren't enough of him indeed. I've been looking for owner photos and there are so few, and it seems there are none without either factory paint or Youpla's face-ups (which are both beautiful, but I'd love to see how he looks in someone else's style too).

I look forward to you posting more of your own when it gets warmer then, and hopefully I'll be good at posting my own too (and since he's the same size and supposed to be a friend to my most photographed girl, I'll probably get quite a few photos of him)

 

Ah! I hadn't realised my image links in the thread had broken actually, whoops! @WinonaFlammery here's my tag on my doll tumblr if you're interested: Little Peeps You can see him with the face-up I did for him! I wiped it some time ago though, because I felt I wanted to improve it. The season just isn't right for doing his new face though, so he has to wait. He pops up fairly commonly on my instagram though!

 

@WinonaFlammery: Congrats for snatching up a Zopa. I'm curious what you will do with him.

Thank you, Saiyaku All I know so far is that he's named Aslan, goes to dance class with my girl Kess and is a close friend of hers. I'm toying with giving him bright "dyed" yellow hair eventually though, but he'll keep his black wig in the mean time once I get him at least. Your boy is absolutely stunning too; he has a very mori-ish vibe

My guy's heeere! He unfortunately does not fit as well as I'd liked with Kess, who I intended him to be a friend for, but he's such a beauty I look forward to working on him. I've named him Aslan. (Full box-opening here)



They both have 5-6" heads, but there's still such a difference :O

Ahaha, thanks! So was I pfft :P I was so adrenaline filled when I sat there ready to get him too (especially since I was just back from my workout then) ^^;

 

And I finished Aslan's wig. Except now that I'm finished it's not what I want after all. Now I want an undercut (either black or gold, but maybe black?) and shorter hair overall, so I'll likely start anew soon. This color for certain though. And then I need to make him some clothes also.

 

The color is really cool with his dark tan skin and eyes !

Oh, I realise I forgot to post Aslan's new wig here. It's not a great photo, so it never went up publicly anywhere but instagram, but it may take some time till I get a better one, so might as well share. I decided his golden hair looked good pulled into a heart-shaped ish, nihongami-inspired top, so I went for that. It always reminded me of something but I couldn't pinpoint what, and then it hit me today; he reminds me of a Jangmo-o, oops.

 

My boy's finally starting to come together fashion wise too! How are all of your Zopas doing? And anyone else also waiting for Ziya?

Aww, thank you! It's not really his, it's far too large (it's pinned in literally everywhere), but I'm hoping to make him one from the same fabric :3

Your Zopas are looking amazing!

Fashions for mine are sort of coming along. I'm having difficulty finding a fabric I'm happy with, but on the plus side there's only that one final fabric left to source. All his other fabrics and trims are ready.

Recent pictures are kind of too low-quality for me to want to embed them haha, so you can look at his progress here! I'm really looking forward to finding the final fabric and having him dressed!

Do you find him hard to pose?

Does he hold his poses well?

Have you found any clothing that fits well?

I live in South Carolina so we're having lots of wind and rain here from Hurricane Florence...

Yesterday, I took the majority of my dolls out for pre-hurricane pics since I like the overcast in my photos...

Anyone else have an Ophelie on order? I just received word that mine (in petal skin) will ship tomorrow. I have nothing ready for her--she won't even have a faceup. She'll join a Ziya and a Vaeron in my Youpla family.

 

Congratulations! She is such a beautiful doll, I would love to her once she has arrived!

 

Thanks! She's not in the tracking system yet--hopefully tomorrow, with delivery sometime next week. (Fingers crossed.)

 

How long do you expect to have waited for the doll beginning on the day you ordered?

 

I ordered on March 22nd and she hasn't arrived yet. That's 100 days. I did account for weekend days but not any holidays that fell during that time.

It should be this week sometime. USPS finally updated to show the package has arrived at US Customs. From there, if they're not backed up to kingdom come, it could get to me tomorrow or Thursday.

 

Ooo please do post pics when you receive her!

 

She won't have a faceup on arrival. I can show her blank or wait until I have a chance to paint her. (Or both!) She cleared Customs just after midnight. Expected delivery date is Thursday, which means she could still show up later today if they got her on a plane quickly enough.
