Congratulations! I'm waiting for my Ziya to come home still. She probably won't arrive until the end of the week.

Why do you have to wait, was she a present?

 

I got her in tan skin. I can't wait to work on her faceup

Have you seen Youpla's new doll Vàna yet? I'm thinking of going for the pre-order so my Ziya can have a sister or something.

Mine is at my post office! I should had her last saturday but it's a Easter present of my postman lol "waiting 3 more day so loooooong"
She is in tan! And I love the new Vàna.... Maybe in normal skin. I don't know.

 

I've been seeing a few come in on Instagram and it just makes me that much sadder that I wasn't able to order her! I am very interested in Vana though...

 

My girl arrived!!! I am so in love with her . Took me a moment to get used to her blank face as I'm more familiar with MNF and JID, with their bigger eyes but I knew, soon as she had a faceup she'd shine. I didn't have a character for her when I bought her or when I opened her up but soon as I put this wig on her an idea came to me. (working out the details now)

does she work well with your mnf's or is the scale off?

 

The scale isn't bad as far as height goes but the aesthetics are too realistic for MNF or even JID

Does anyone know about the current presale Vàna if she is limited in anyway? Or will she be available later again, hopefully in these same colours?

Oh, I hope you get your wig right! I know how frustrating it can be. Got Priya's alpaca earlier today and had a time getting her hair right - none of my other wigs needed such a precise part before UGH!
I can't imagine selling my girl - she has easily become my favorite BJD.
Did you get the tan or natural skin?

@Ban Sidhe Your Ziya is gorgeous I fell in love with Vana, and now I'd want a Ziya too... I've almost ordered Vana so many times but then pulled back in the last minute, I'm a bit scared of the pelvis joint and how it sort of sticks out... Will she be able to wear any jeans etc? I make and sell Minifee cothing and would love her to wear the same kind of stuff, not looking for a doll who can wear skirts and dresses only... Other than that both Vana and Ziya have stolen my heart completely!

 

My girl is wearing all MNF clothing that I made myself. One or two pair of pants took a second to pull up past her hips but once up they fit like a glove!
If that is your only concern, rest assured Ziya has totally stolen my heart - you should get Vana!

 

Thanks, that's great to know! I asked, there's going to be another preorder for tan Ziya in August/September, thinking if I'll wait until then if I have the courage to take the plunge... OR get Vana now and Ziya from the next preorder... Decisions, decision. Meanwhile, feel free to spam your Ziya to your heart's content! She's gorgeous!

 

I took the plunge and placed a tan Vana on layaway I'm hoping to get a tan Ziya as well from the next preorder. I just could not pass this up as I've fallen in love with both girls. So excited to get my girl!

I'm sorry to hear you're dissapointed with the colour Mylene. One consolation is that it'll probably be quite easy to sell her on The Marketplace.

I have decided that when I get my Vàna she's going to live in another room than my other dolls. She'll be so different and I don't think her colour would look good around Fairyland tan and Iplehouse tan. She's also so different in other ways. She'll probably look best on her own.

Is that the normal tan they offer? Looks so dark in the pic or maybe it's just the lighting? Oh man, if you were selling her like two months from now I'd totally go for it! Still thinking of ways I could possibly afford her...

 

It's true - she doesn't look good with MNFs or JIDs. Which is a shame, I thought she'd look good with a JID guy 'cause they are more realistic than MNFs but NOPE. The JID guys look goofy next to her. Their bodies are fine (I love the size difference) and their facial sculpting is good as well but their eyes are too big in comparison. (If I could mod his eyes smaller they might work together but you're right about the skin color as well. I know there is a LOT of variety in real life but... well, this isn't and I want colors to work with each other when I take photographs.)

Ban it was actually your comparason picture that made me realize they wouldn't work together. I'm still going to love my tan Vàna though. I just LOVE the shape of her ears and those freckles (I'm getting her with face-up) are soooo cute.

Hey, there's a Youpla thread now! I've had my Ziya since Ldoll 2016, so she was one of the first batch. She's an absolute beauty and I still adore her as much as when I first saw pics of her on Youpla's IG. I would 't be surprised if one day I bring home a tan Ziya too.
I'm on my ipad and I can't figure out how to post a Flickr image here, since it won't let me copy the BB code. So I'll share the link instead, to show that my Ziya (Saffron) has decided that she does indeed fit in with my MNF and similar-sized crew: Medieval crew

@Ban Sidhe Thanks!! I know what you mean. Saffron doesn't have a sister, but I keep thinking to myself I could maybe bring home a tan Ziya and see what she brings me. Invent a sister if I have to My wishlist is a bit too long to do it soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens one day!

 

Tempted as I am, I'm gonna save my pennies for a guy for Priya. Not sure if I can share her pictures here but you can always go to Youpla's Flickr or IG to see images. He's lean for my tastes but not every guy can (nor should) be brawny I think Priya would appreciate a guy with more of a swimmer's build. And it doesn't hurt that he's handsome, tall, and probably poses better than any male BJD I've seen!

 

Oh yes, I'm so fascinated by him! He looks great with Ziya from what I've seen, but I would be more likely to use him for a different character and that would mean he'd have to work with a Minifee girl, so I'm waiting to find out if he does. He's so gorgeous, though! Very handsome and very mature, both rare in 1/4 boys!

 

Just my .02 but I don't think he will look good with a Minifee... I'm assuming he'll be as realistic as Ziya, which means 6mm eyes and a more proportional head. Without seeing him side by side with a MNF, I'm gonna guess his features will look too small. I paired JIDs up with my MNFs but even they were a stretch for some as the aesthetic was different. I have a picture of Ziya near a JID guy, which is more realistic than a MNF, and I couldn't pair them together, much as I'd hoped I could. That's just my opinion though and I don't mean to discourage you or tell you not to make a MNF/YPD pair.

 

I know, you're probably right. Mature boys that work with Minifees are just so rare, it's so discouraging sometimes. But he'll probably work with someone, I'm just excited to see him progress! My Ziya is paired with a Dollzone and that really doesn't work either, haha!
