    1. Hey!
      Few-month lurker, first time poster!
I'm Kaizu, 30's something, 2D artist that makes my money through traveling to (mostly anime) conventions. I joined DOA to get some insight about how to start with BJD's, I just started with my first few this year but I'm so excited about them I really dove headfirst into the hobby along with my roommates. Gotta customize some dolls into my OCs!

I bought my first doll, a Dika Doll Abel, earlier this year. While waiting for him to show up I snatched up a secondhand Resin Soul girl (maybe Song? wasn't entirely sure how to check!) so I got to work with her and clean her up and restring her while I was waiting for my much bigger new boy! Looking forward to posting pics about them~

I know this is off-topic and belongs in brigadoon but I also bought a resin printer and want to get into printing my own dolls. I read the rules so I won't say much more about it on this thread, but if I grab any pics or have any process questions, I might post them over there.

I expect to mostly be hanging around reading some project journals and posting some progress pics of my own~

Let me know if there's anything I've missed in the rules mentioned here, or feel free to ask me any questions you've got!

Thanks a lot for having me, good to meet you all~

    2. Welcome! Nice to meet you too! More dollie pics are always great to see and much encouraged :XD:

I'm fairly new to DoA as well so I'm not sure if there's any 3D printing discussion here but it's definitely something I've been interested in as well! Would love to be able to print my own doll props one day!

    3. I love seeing how creative everyone is with all the things people 3D print for their dolls. It's so cool, I'd love to sculpt and print props but there's definitely a learning curve for someone who's only ever done 2D art hahaha. Time to get to practicing 3D sculpting!

    4. For sure! The possibilities are virtually endless once you can 3D model your own stuff. Definitely on my to do list one of these days :XD:
