Yeah, that describes them so well!

Apr 30, 2017

    1. Have you ever seen something, read, heard... that descibed your doll-character perfectly?

a few years ago (or longer....) i saw a Paco Rabanne commercial for the 1 million dollar cologne they have, and i as like... OMG that is Mikami to a T!

Hes well-dressed, it seems like when he snapped his fingers he could get what he wanted, fine women (and men), fast cars, money, high-quality clothes...

      Newer commercial and Original commercial

Now he even owns and does wear the cologne too

I want to see what others have said or done with what reminded them of that description.

    2. This is fun!

The first thing that comes to mind is actually for a doll I don't have yet...I have the character though. His name is Nimbus (a.k.a. Stormy) and he's a weather spirit that specializes in storms and thunder/lightning. (He's going to be a Souldoll Joelle.D.) The song that most reminds me of him is Natural Disaster by Pentatonix. Nimbus is literally a force of nature, so it's perfect~

I see a lot of Ilya-esque stuff, mostly in stupid/weird commercials (because Ilya is a massive dork and a weirdo). This song made from bits of Game Grumps videos comes to mind. (Warning for bad [but hilarious] language.) The second Osomatsu-san opening also reminds me of him, because he loves that kind of music. (Though he likes all music, really...but still.)

    3. So Christian has a bit of hippie streak in him--the music, the movies, the fashions, all of it is appealing to him.

I decided I wanted to make him a longer cardigan-style sweater, something sort of hippie and vintage. So I went digging through my yarn stash and found exactly the sort of colors I wanted for it in one ball of sock yarn. (My other addiction is sock yarn. Lucky for my dolls that it's a great weight for stuff for them!)

It wasn't until I was running short on yarn and needed to add it to my shopping list that I looked at the name of the colorway on the ball-band.

      Route 66

And I laughed out loud, because yes, that summed up the sweater and the guy wearing it perfectly. XD Just give the boy a copy of On the Road and some Bob Dylan vinyls, and he's all set.
