Okay. So I got supersculpey for Christmas and since I can't afford a BJD I'd just. Make one. I knew with such a pricetag on BJDs they ought to be an absolute cluster**** to make and I have learned merely in my first day that THEY ARE. EDIT~! So here are my attempts. My first one doesnt exist anymore, but here it is anyway. Pirate Bill, the ex-Chupacabra with angelinajolielips. If it doesnt show up but youre still masochistic/interested, lookie here -> http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/Majickaltofu/Piratebill.jpg And here's something more recent. It's not finished at all, I just have put 3 hours of work into it and I still need to add ears, smooth it out. I took care of the mongoloid cranium since the picture was taken, and it is hollow now, the head. The eyes are as even as I can get them. I'll have to sand them more precise. Got rid of the unevenness grooves in the cheeks and all. But here's what I had before my camera died. Its batteries ran out and even though I replaced them it refuses to turn on... There. I'm not really looking for any particular look besides 'cute' now. I guess its cute for a novice's work. However cute as severed heads can get.
It's hard to make your own doll, but please don't give up! It's totally worth it when you're finished. ^^
Oooh believe me I'm not giving up x3. And thanks for the cheeron ^^. I really should have just waited 'till I had a full day available like. Today. <_< So I'm starting over again today. In the morning! So I wont get all, loopy. But really. What I had there, did it look horrible or was it a little cute at all? ; ;
Hmm... I think the key to making anything iwith clay is patience. Instead of starting over on parts, just add on to them. Plus, if you have an eyepatch, it should be a cloth eyepatch rather than a sculpted on one.
hope this doesn't come out wrong, but I can see what you were trying to do. Just a few small mistakes gave a result you were not happy with, but I'm confident that you can produce a very pretty head soon! good luck ^-^
