Xaga tiny dolls [Kiki, Nono, Lara, Anthony etc.]

I am totally enjoying her. 8D
I find her interesting, even with her huge bust she can fit some pullip/azone clothes. Though her wig and shoe sizes are the same as my yosd girls. XD

 

OK all--I was able to pick up Ximilu from Mint on Card, and I posted photos of her in the gallery. She is wearing Azone clothing, and I love her! (I think I need another one with the other non-gumball chest, as cute as this one is.)

After a nine month wait (I ordered on June 20th 2013) I finally got a notice that my Lara has arrived at mint on card. I ordered her with the small bust so hopefully she'll fit Momoko clothes well.

But now that I've seen the new head sculpts I want a Ken girl! Unfortunately they won't sell just the head and I'm not sure I can face another nine month wait.

I really like the Sylvia and Cyrus head sculpts too. Sigh. I wonder when the xagadoll.com website will be fully operational. I really hope they start selling some cool clothes and shoes for the red obsidian dolls.

I'll try to get some nice photos uploaded once Lara arrives. I have some nice 4" Parabox wigs I'm anxious to try on her.

She's lovely but I really need to sand her head cap down. It sticks out too much - 4" wigs don't fit and the bigger ones look silly.

Lara is on the small bust female body and is wearing a Momoko white body. In general Momoko clothes fit her really well (e.g. pants are a perfect length) although I have a camisole that would probably work better on the large bust body.

 

I had issues finding where her tail went, I also couldn't get her ears to stay on D:

 

Hmm--My girl came with the ear magnets attached. If the wig is really thick, the ears won't stay attached either, but that's kind of common with most magnetic ears, I find. And the tail! God. I am not even going to try to glue that thing on. I think you need to use tweezers and superglue, and that is just an accident waiting to happen.

But your girl! She is adorable!

 

I've been looking at Lara for some time, and little Candy, because she has the cutest little face. But I hesitated with Lara, because I haven't been able to bond with similar dolls before (I think the head is too small). And then I realized that they had made Sugar, and that MoC had her in stock. I feel like I'm getting two dolls in one, lol. She's on layaway so she won't arrive for a while, though. The tiny Xaga dolls are so adorable.

 

I love the soft delicate features that xagadoll offers on their Yosds. I got a vivi and he is so tiny compared to most in his bracket. Most clothes seem to just fall off of him. But his head fits hats very well. His eyes are so tiny though you can barely see them in pictures. Even with natural lighting

 

I'm hoping to order Lara and Ken near the end of summer. With a wait that long I can justify getting two at once! I hope the Barbie/ Ken size patterns I have will work for them. The two mature tinies I have fit in Barbie pattern clothes.

 

I was thinking of starting to find wig and eyes for my incoming Sugar (I guess she arrives in August). But I'm confused about her actual head size. On MoC it's listed as 10 cm, the same as Lara. But at the same time they say Sugar has the same head sculpt as Candy, but her head is 12.5 cm. This difference is the difference between a 3-4 inch wig and a 4-5 inch. In the picture where Sugar sits on someone's hand, her head looks a little bigger than Lara's. I have found a perfect wig, and they have it in both sizes. But I would rather not buy two, just because the head measurements are confusing.

 

Hey, this might be a stupid question, but I am planning on buying a Kimi off Mint on Card, and it gives me the option for "make-up" for an extra $50. Does this include body blushing/sealing? And I know that she comes with a free pair of eyes, but are they anime/glossy or are they just regular-looking eyes? I'm hoping for anime eyes, heheh.

 

I can't answer for the eyes, but "make-up" is just for the face. I don't think they offer body blushing, at least not through MintonCard.

 

The ear magnets are an easy fix! Just buy an extra pair and tape them to her head. The wig can still cover them and the ears will stay on! I had to do that with Soom Isaak.

 

Ordered a little 14.5 cm body just now... I wonder how long the wait will be... Crossing my fingers that they have some remaining stock and I don't have to wait two months XD

Anyone own this little body on their Anthony or Candy? Wondering how it poses ^^

 

Hi Sheyda--I think the makeup is just for the face, only--no body blushing. Mine looks really nice for Ximilu, I have to say, as she was a demo doll and included make-up. She's awesome. But I don't think Xaga Dolls offers body blushing as an option.

As an aside: my doll has very few parting/seam lines. This might be the case for all their dolls, though, not only if you buy a face-up.

 

Ooh I missed Sheyda's question: The anime eyes Xaga come with are pretty low quality, I'd recommend getting them separately really >_<

Nina (Nono) actually came with me to Dollism this last weekend. Lara did too, but I didn't take her down for photos because of scale. It's actually the boy faceup but they're angel bodies in either case. I removed the eyelashes because they made the eyes too dark.

I really like Lara, I hope I'm able to get her with a small breasted body, but I'll need to see what my finances are like in October. When I was looking at their dolls, I briefly considered a sleeping Sylvia, I think she looks very pretty, but I'm not sure of the versatility of a sleeping face. X3

I know this thread has been quiet for a few months, but I figured I'd drop in and see if I could try and lure some of you back.

I just love everyone's tinies! After looking through the rest of the thread, I'm half-tempted to go and order some of Xagadoll's sculpts that I hadn't even considered before >__>

I've got a Ximilu coming in that I'm really excited about--she should be here within the next two days (provided FedEx stops changing her delivery date, that is). I bought her in-stock from Mint on Card~

I know the body she's on (the more cartoony/chibi one with the heart knees) fits into Azone Pure Neemo clothes, but does anyone happen to know what other clothes might fit her? She'll be my first slim doll of her size, so I'm not entirely sure what kind of clothing to buy for her, and I don't think anything I have now is going to fit her @___@ I was thinking that since Pure Neemo dolls fit into Blythe and Licca clothes, the Xagadoll body might as well, but since Ximilu isn't here yet, I haven't had a chance to test this. I'm a little apprehensive about buying too much clothing for her for it to not fit because of her huge gumball boobs lol

 

My Ximigo fits into Pure Neemo S and M outfits that I have. XS stuff is a bit too tight on the chest area... they might have cute little heart knees but they are rather endowed in the chest area xD

A Takara Jenny outfit I have was a bit loose on her but not bad. Licca outfits are a better fit. I can't speak to Blythe because I don't own any but another Ximigo owner I spoke with said Blythe outfits are a good fit. If it's made of a stretchy fabric it's no big deal with the boobs.

Pure Neemo / Takara (Jenny/Licca) shoes and accessories (likely) are a no. Xaga doll necks are thicker than a Pure Neemo so chokers and neck accessories are too small. Shoes are a lot smaller for Pure Neemo dolls so stick with real YoSD sized shoes / socks.

I'll take a picture of my Ximigo later tonight... I'm at work right now posting on DoA instead of working (don't tell anyone xD).

The top and skirt are Azone from the "Cute Punk Girls" series. It was made for an S size Azone Pure Neemo and it fits pretty well on the Xaga doll red obsidian bodies. I'm going for a cute punk fashion look for Risa so I had to steal that outfit from my neemo xD

 

Thanks for the info, rensuchan! Your Ximigo is adorable--that wig is so precious on her! The Azone clothes look like they fit nicely, so I'll have to keep an eye out for some on eBay/the second-hand market.

I just can't get over that cute little smirk, and I'm so glad I got her My only disappointment is that she didn't come with the hands that were in all her stock photos. I guess I didn't read into it enough and hadn't realized she came with different hands.

Hi! ^_^ I just put a Ximilu on layaway with MoC today! I also got her extra hands and a Dollheart Fukubukuro. Mainly I'm posting to say hi & mark the thread for when she is home this summer. I did a 6 month layaway figuring it might take the 18 to 40 weeks mentioned on the page. But if she's in early I may pay her off early!

I've ordered from Xaga twice and they are pretty slow, so your estimation with MOC is probably about right! She will be worth the wait though

I had a bad bout of impulse and bought a second-hand Ximigo to go with my Ximilu >___> I've named her Yui~



Her wig is temporary--it's the only one that fits her that I have on me right now. I'm hoping I can get one that covers her eyebrows like Michiko's; it looks like her previous owner may have wiped the eyebrows off of her faceup and accidentally caught those little lines right above her eyes in the process. They're the same general lines as Michiko's, but they're not nearly as clean, so I'm thinking they may have been redrawn on. Considering Yui doesn't have any eyebrows at all, while Michiko does, I'm definitely thinking that's the case.

Either way, she's super cute and I'm really happy I got her

 

I just ordered my miki yesterday and I'm hoping while I endure this wait I can start making her some clothes based off the measurements but there's two measurements I still need. If anyone with a red obsidian body can measure from the top of the shoulder to the middle of her thigh and top of her shoulder to her waist I would greatly appreciate it!!! I want to make sure her dress will not end up being too short

I saw R1VET's clothing tests, so barbie clothes aren't too bad of a fit? I'd like a black & green sei-fuku for my Ximilu, maybe I can find one that'll work that's made for the Japanese barbie size fashion dolls.

 

I hope she gets to you sooner! I honestly can't believe their wait time is forty weeks. I usually expect that from more "popular" companies, but I don't really hear people talking about Xagadoll much. Maybe they're just a super small operation? It's possible they only have like three or four employees (maybe even less), so it takes much longer to get things done.

I haven't had a chance to take pictures of my girls lately--college has been eating all my time, and any spare time I have rarely goes to dolls anymore ;___;

Barbie clothes are...iffy. They're so hit-or-miss that I honestly can't recommend them or advise against them. Barbie has this unrealistic thigh gap that makes some of her clothes very...wide...?...in the crotch area, so it has potential to bunch of a lot between the legs of the Xagadoll Red Obsidian body. Barbie is generally wider/taller/thicker than the Red Obsidian body. If you happen to have some lying around when your Ximilu shows up, definitely give them a try, but I wouldn't go out of your way to buy some specifically for her.

Licca doll (basically Japanese Barbie) clothes fit VERY well. The shoes can't possibly work, but the clothing itself fits great. Licca dolls have about the same size waists and hips, and the bust area on them isn't nearly as "adult"-looking, but they have a much wider torso, so it evens out. I would highly recommend searching "Licca" on eBay in the doll section--there's a good variety of cheap Licca clothes, and because Licca comes from Japan, it should be fairly easy to find a seifuku outfit, though those colors specifically may pose a challenge. I hope you find what you're looking for though!

 

OMG, where did you find the 40 weeks processing time ? I didn't know they had such a long waiting time ! Does it really take this much to get your doll ? Aren't mistaking for 40 days maybe ?

How long did it take for people here to get your doll please ?

I really love Grean Obsidian Kiki and I'm planning to order one later this year, but I will have to be careful with the waiting time then.

 

Minimum three months I think for a blank doll direct from Xaga. So 40 weeks via a dealer doesnt sound too far off

 

It took mine 6-7 months to get home after ordering. I had actually forgotten about her for a while and then when I got the notice I was scared that it was too much of an impulse buy and that I wouldn't want her as much. As soon as I saw her though I knew the wait was worth it Some of the wider blythe clothes are too big looking on her but most do fit really well.

 

My Miki arrived the other day, and I struggled to bond. So I took a dremel to her face XD

The main mod was that I flattened out the area between her eyes and brought her eyes a bit closer together

I don't normally like big eyed dolls, but man she's cute babytarragon! I really got lucky with Conri, my Ken, as MoC had him in stock so I only had to wait a week!

 

@ babytarragon is it possible to measure your girl from the top of her shoulder to her waist and then from the top of her shoulder to the middle of her thigh for me? I'm at about 1.5 month wait time and I'm trying hard not to think of her bc then it just seems longer

R1VET, My Ximilu also can wear Momoko clothing, and some Tiny Kitty (Tonner Doll) as well. Barbie stuff is a little too long in the waist and large in the bust--but I have the gum ball version.

babytarragon, I love her new eyes! She is too cute!

Beka-Lyse, I was able to take these measurements, if they help: shoulder to waist - 4.5cm, and shoulder to mid thigh - 10cm. I don't sew, so I'm not sure exactly how accurate you need, but I took a few photos, too. Here is one in inches:

I recently purchased babytarragon's Miki, I am totally in love with these dolls (so many cute cute ones in the thread *0*)



I'm starting to buy her a bunch of clothing from different sizes so will put comparison photos on here for her too as I think finding out clothing fits for the size was one of the biggest problems I am having. BUt I did have a Azone S dress that fit her well ^_^

I have Cyrus and Ken on my MOC (future) wish list. Just discovered them yesterday but I worry finding clothes and shoes will be difficult

I'm pretty gutted Xaga doll isn't more popular too, I don't know where you'd begin dressing a Cyrus, my Ximilu is frustrating to clothe, I've joined a sewing thread so I can become better at making doll clothes so hopefully she will have a whole wardrobe soon [emoji4]

These dolls are lovely. I like how they look like a smaller version of Dollfie Dream, plus it's in resin instead of vinyl.

(Depends when I can catch her) Her MSD is currently headless though else I would of straight up tried to show the comparison of an MSD head on the body. But honestly the neck size on an MSD will be far too big anyway. Miki's are the same height as YOSD and also same headsize. So I personally think MSD would be far too big.

Also to everyone in regards to the clothes situation. Bratz clothes fit her pretty well if they have a tiny bit of stretch in them. Blythe clothes fit wonderfully too. I ordered her blthe clothes from Rabbit in the moon on Etsy and they look great on her. Shoes I'm not sure about as she doesn't wear shoes. And with wigs she fits Yo-SD wigs providing they have elastic in (no elastic ones are quite slippy)
