Xaga Mini Dolls

what wigs does everyone use for their dolls? i've got a mini lucas and i'm trying to find a wig for him, something shorter and grey i'm thinking. the measurement is basically exactly 7 inches which makes me worry that 6-7 might be too small and 7-8 might be too big.

 

Does anyone know what heads can hybrid well with the girl bodies? Tempted by Erlinda (robot arm!) but not fond of cute faces.

 

I've got a Youth Story Bluebird head on a Xagadoll body, can't find a pic at the moment though.

 

Has anyone ordered the Moon Shadow 1/4 girl body yet?

I love tall girls and there aren't many so I'm curious about it. Especially the different feet options... they're kind of unclear as described, and there are no pictures. But supposedly with heel feet she's 46.3cm, which is pretty neat.

 

Xaga Doll as a new doll out on Alice Collections, "Ravi". Not sure how I feel about him. Feels kinda kidnappish?

I kind of like how the doll looks like but their chosen way to portray him had me like "errmmmm???" Very uncomfortable to look at.

 

Yeah, the doll itself looks adorable! But the pics and accessories for such a young looking doll... Very uncomfortable. Glad to know it's not just me!

I’m hoping to get some ideas for names for my XagaDoll Mizzle (blond girl next to Seraphine. Can’t really tell from my awful pic, but she does have elf ears)!

I love names so I was looking around and I like Fiore, it's a feminine Italian name meaning flower and isn't as commonly used as Flora. Plus it's short, which is easy to remember. I can of course keep looking

I really love the name Winniefred (Nickname Winnie or Freddie depending on what she prefers) and I think it would suit her

Looks like Xaga has a new girl body (weibo)! Personally, I'm very happy to see more tall and broad-shouldered mini girls pop up. Legenddoll has it listed, it's available on taobao, too, and I've just asked if it'll be available through ACBJD as well (still waiting for the answer but they tend to take a little longer usually anyway).

Does anyone have any recent-ish resin comparisons for Xagadoll and other companies, specifically Fairyland?
I was just wondering if normal or V Normal matched Fairyland NS better, or if they were both a bit of a "wash" - I've been considering on getting Mizzle and plopping her onto a moe body and giving her body to a different head and I've not against color matching but it would be nice to know about the default, base colors before I order anything.

 

Here is Fairyland Normal skin Realpuki Toki on a Xaga normal skin tummy. Both are recent arrivals.

Does anyone else ever get annoyed when companies edit their photos with heavy hand? Xaga released 2 new Jellyfish inspired girls Morven & Talise and both are pictured with what on a quick glance in the small preview images looked like a really cool jellyfish hat. That was literally the reason for why I took a closer look at them since I pretty much went "oh no I love the hat, maybe I'll buy the full set just for that?" But it's drawn on and now there's a jellyfish hat shaped hole in my heart

Anyway, the new girls are really cute and despite the lack of jellyfish hat the clothes are gorgeous too. Funnily enough I like Morven's colors more but prefer Talise's cuter face.

 

Wow, no pictures of the fullsets on dolls without the hats either? I agree it's super confusing would have been so cool though! Like a clear resin headpiece maybe?

She’s pretty cool. I like the face sculpts. Not to my taste specifically but it’s nice to see Xagadoll exploring new ideas that are outside the norm.

To anyone who owns a Xaga mini with heel legs: how do they work? Are they easy to switch for the regular ones, or do they require you to restring the doll?

 

Yes, you need to restring a doll for high heeled lower legs. The elastic just goes to the knee with the heeled legs.

 

Anyone know what is special or different about "V normal" resin? Is it a UV color close to normal or something? Does anyone have any side-by-sides of a normal and v normal resin doll? I saw a resin sample of the headcaps but it just seems maybe a little bit yellower or peachier?

 

Where are you seeing a V normal resin option?

I've seen it on Jane's Doll Land and Alice Collections as options.

 

Just ordered Mizzle - assuming there isn't any big, negative changes between now and when Mizzle ships (in probably ~6 months, I'd wager), supposedly the shipping method Alice uses pre-pays tariffs, so here's to hoping everything proceeds smoothly.

 

btw, if you see a doll on alice's that doesn't have volks normal listed you can just email her and ask about it, and she will add it. i did that and she was very nice about it, as she always is!

i'm mulling around finally ordering my mini lucas 2.0 and mini ash.... but unsure if i'll go for the original ash or the 2.0.... they're going to be a pair, so i think the 2.0 might be what i go with since i think the 2.0 looks sliiiiightly more mature for both of them. but i actually have a first mini lucas already, so i'm interested to see how the two versions compare IRL.

 

I wish Xaga would sell all of the heads separately - I would have gotten the sleeping Mizzle head in my order, but I guess Fairyland has spoiled me, LOL. I really like the 2.0 heads but if they're meant to be a pair, I'd go for the original version!

 

Anyone know if Xaga ever rereleases their old bodies? I'm not too familiar with the company yet, but I love the robot armed body Erlinda.

 

I am not sure if you can buy just the body alone, but she's still available to buy with the robotic arm on Alice Collection's! I'd suggest emailing Alice.

Maybe its a long shot, but I wanted to ask if anyone here has gotten Luts skin colors from Xagadoll?

I'm thinking of getting a body from them to hybrid with a Luts KDF head.

 

I think they can color match luts normal and luts white.

 

I was thinking of getting a sleeping mizzle on the body, so I aske Alice and I guess you can't get the mechanical arm anymore Boo! It's such a cool body, too.

 

Aedoll has rereleased the 1/4 mianmian body, and since Aedoll is a sister company of Xagadoll... I decided to get it in normal resin, too, and the current plan is to put Mizzle on that body when all of the parts get here. Unfortunately, newcloversinging told me that we can't get Xagadoll heads on Asleep Eidolon bodies, so I couldn't get the sleeping mizzle head with the mianmian body. Boo. It was worth a shot asking, though, LOL.



It's a really cute body, though! I hope Mizzle will look good on it. Current hope is to order the sleeping Mizzle through Alice in the not-distant future, and then I can put both mizzle heads with the Mianmian body and then use the Xagadoll bodies for some hybrids for my floating heads. I plan on getting both Xagadoll ver 3 bodies with different shoulders, so when I eventually get them all, I think I'll take some comparison pictures and share them here and on instagram/flickr.

My Xaga doll ash, he is super adorable and can rock both girl and boy looks. Mine has factory face up and stands and poses very well - xaga doll has good quality dolls.

I have had an update from Erica at Legendoll that my conjoined twins are finally getting ready to ship! I am trying not to get my hopes up that I will get them before October, but they will be my first Xaga and I'm very excited to see them in person. I did opt for two open-eyed heads, as I don't have a particular fondness for sleeping faces. Xaga and Erica were both very accommodating.

 

Hi, sorry if it’s been asked before, but I was wondering about Xaga’s tan resin. Do they only make it during special events? Can we email a dealer to have it added on? I really love the tan dolls I’ve seen of theirs but I don’t see it being a choice currently.

 

I think it is only special events or special order periods.

 

Tans are harder to pour and frequently not used during hot weather.

My in stock conjoined twin fullset came and they're so pretty! I will have to wipe the faceups because naturally I wanted the opposite faceups on each head, but it means I will have good references for what I want.

 

My Xaga order with Alice from 5/19 arrived 09/07! I am hopeful that my AEdoll mianmian body will be shipping from newcloversinging soon, too! Hopefully it will make for a good combo.

 

My Qing He Zola finally got clothing. I am so impressed by this doll.

 

I have been looking at this body, do you know if it has the mobility joint in the thigh?
