Xaga Mini Dolls

Painted Minono and it was such a disaster I'm starting again...

Did discover that her sculpt is very assymetrical, she must be hand sculpted. Her nose is higher on one side than the other! I'll sand that down when I wipe her.

I can report that she fits Disney animator shoes perfectly, but the clothes are much too wide for her. Her body is chunkier than MSD, but not dramatically.

 

After little bit of nose sanding and a new face up, Minono is ready to meet the world!

I had a wonderful surprise when I got up this morning! I got the shipping notice for my MiCoco from Clover-Singing! It's been just over four months and I ordered the faceup and outfit!

I'm so excited!

I just ordered May from Clover-Singing this morning! She'll be my first resin doll.

Hopefully she'll be home before Christmas!

I want May, myself! Hopefully will order her once companies stop releasing new Limited dolls that I just have to have.

 

I ordered her blank, in the pink normal skin, with the large bust. x3 Yay!

Depending on the vibe I get from her when she arrives, she'll be one of the 2 characters that I want to develop. I'm hopping that having a physical doll around will help inspire the story and details behind who she is and what she does, haha.

The plan is for her to become "Cadence", a young nomad in some sort of self-imposed military/cadet like organization. (It might even be just her in an organization of 1). There will be elements of fantasy and maybe just a few small distopian aspects. I wish I knew what her mission is, but unfortunately all I know is that she's generally pretty quiet and keeps to herself, is observant of the little things in life, and might perceive the world differently than others. I think she is unknowingly going to be her own biggest enemy.

...also, Cadance is kind of a cheesy name for a military inspired doll, so I might change it to Candace or come up with something else, haha.

 

OoOoO! I love your concept for her. It always makes me smile ear-to-ear to hear owners' detailed characterizations!

And I am a sucker for (most) sculpts blank. The May sculpt is no exception!

I wish her a speedy arrival! My boy only took two or three months from Clover-Singing---much faster than I had anticipated given Xaga's notoriously long wait time.

It might not be that long. I ordered two 27cm mature dolls from Alice's Collection and they arrived in just over two months!

On the other hand, my Micoco from Clover-Singing took four and a half months. So it's hard to predict!

 

Eep xD And I ordered a face up, too. So that adds a few weeks.

That's OK though I ordered her knowing full-well that there'd probably be a wait. It's nice to space out my new arrivals anyway

 

All of mine have faceups and I ordered the outfit for Micoco!

 

I'd love to see your Micoco. She is actually the BB I love most from Xaga. I think she'll be the next Xaga that I order. If only I could choose between her and Huajing Doll's Youle..

I guess my three Holiday's Child dolls from Rosenlied were my first dolls in the BB range. This size has really caught on!

I also have MYou Loretta and I have ordered Basil from Spiritdoll. The ballerinas from Dollzone are tempting!

@nancy_schroeder_ca - Im a huge fan of Huajing I have one of their regular sized MSD girls here, and another on the way. I cannot speak enough to their quality.

Holiday Child dolls are so pretty! But sadly, the ones I want most have been long discontinued, so I'll need to just wait around for a Limited release

No...I ordered mine blank. Now that I think of it, I probably should have considered that it will be the middle of winter when she arrives and I won't be able to spray MSC that easily due to the cold, haha.

I've been spending a lot of time with my work-in-progress catboy (Xagadoll May) recently. Received his scruffy wig in the mail, so I was finally able to sew his cat ears to it. Even bought him his proper eyes and am about to mod off his human ears.

I also started a project journal detailing his customization, for anyone who may be interested in following along.

Eon is one of my oldest characters so his doll form means the world to me.

I just received my first bjd May. But something happen, I order male one, but the dealer get my order wrong so now a boy became a girl
Overall, I decided to keep her and order one more May boy, so I can make them into twins Everybody love twins !!

Yes thank you so much At first I also felt really sad and confuse when I opened the box, it was my first bjd so that kinda suck
But after I decided to keep her and make them twins, then everything turn out to be great

I own Ken and Cyrus by Zaga, they are 1/6 scale. I love the quality, nice resin, The do not pose well at all tho, I need to restring and suede them.
With the long Xaga Wait times, I did a 6 mo Layaway thru Mint On Card and within a week of paying them off they were shipped.

Hi has anyone have a Minono? How does she on posing and what kind of clothes fit best?

 

Guinan, I had Minono but she was adopted by someone else on the forum.

I foundthe posing pretty good, not amazing but sturdy and reasonably flexible. Her actual torso isn't huge so some larger MSD clothes fit, but better with clothes meant for Big BB/ Baby Mini size. Disney animator is way too big.

Hello everyone :3

Would someone happen to have one of the BB dolls and a 'normal' (non-BB) doll and could take a pic of them together? I already did a quick photoshop to get a feel for the sizing, but I'd prefer to see a pic of an owner before purchasing if possible.

My eyes are currently on a MIBobby and I'd love to add her to my MSD horde -^3^-

And on acbjd or mint on card, there not much update on new doll that xaga has.
So I go check on legend doll, and they are have everything new

I'm planning to get May and Mizzle girls but can't decide whether to get the body ver. 1 or 2. Can someone help me?
It seems to me ver. 1 is more poseable while 2 is more aesthetically pleasing but I really don't know. Reviews would help me greatly.

 

My finger has been hovering over the buy button for the May boy for months now but I decided to bring my Clover Doll Elvis home first as he's been on the wishlist a smidge longer and it was only fair - but I haven't fell in love with a doll as fast as I did with May since my first doll, so I'm super excited to get him ordered and bring him home. I loved seeing all your pictures and beautiful dolls

 

I can't speak for v.2, but the v.1 body is a really nice poser! everything stays where I put it, and it stands and sits well. I personally preferred the aesthetics of the v.1 body, so I can't really help you in that area. I did find that the sculpting and details of the v.1 body are really subtle and nice, and the only complaint that I have is that the arms seem to bend back further than they should.
