Every spring, we enjoy the wildflowers growing on the land next to our apartment complex.

The land also holds the town's Civic Center and Library. Around Xmas, they set up a Santa's Village on the land.

One of the first shots I ever did of Shuichi, posing on our front walkway. He still had his default gold/brown eyes back then.



And, just for grins, Bodkin at the local renaissance faire. I show this because we basically lived out here on the weekends when we used to work the faire, way back when.

Okay, here's an ancient picture of Kaspar at Alta Plaza park a few blocks from my house with the Tower of Power in the background.



And this is really a stretch, but you did say the "World where you live" so a world cultural heritage landmark counts, right?

Well, JN, it's true. Shuichi does get around a lot. Eventually I will get his trip to San Francisco finished. And Shuichi, Chikara and Hatori's visit to the Mir Forest.

Where I lived over the summer had fairly conventional suburban scenery, so I tended to block out a lot of it. But this is one of the first pictures I took. I'll have to take some better pictures when I am back on the east coast over Christmas.

We live near a beautiful ruined cathedral (bombed in WW2) but I haven't taken Rei there yet, waiting until I can get there on a weekday when it will be less crowded for pics.

Meanwhile here's Rei in the street outside my house. We live in a pretty average UK street, in a terraced house, but those of you who've never been to England might find it interesting. And... it's strange how many of my neighbours wanted to come outdoors for seemingly no reason, when I was taking these

I live in the Glendale/Burbank area of California. So that puts me within about 30 minutes of hollywood, la and lots of other fun things. I tend to go to lunch in LA once every two weeks or so.
I also live in a subdivision on a hill. All the way up the hill there are mounds of ivy, morningglories and various flowering ground-cover.

I live in Olympia, Washington. I work downtown, so today on my lunch break (which also coincided with the only hour of sun we had all day) I grabbed Katen and a camera and went up the road to the state Capitol Campus.

Aha!!! Finally found an outdoor pic of my kids in Berkeley!



Bjds in San Francisco Financial District - this one is at The Embarcadero Center where I was asked to not take pictures and leave. Seems that the security there think pics will be used to blow up the place - I snapped this one before the guards descended on me and my photog friends.

We then went across the street and found the USA Korea friendship statue in a park!

The same park is now famous for having the wild parrots of telegraph hill show up every afternoon. But back when this pic was taken, they had fancy chickens and pigeons there! For one of my stories I had the birds look like they were attacking my Howl!

Goodness gracious, I finally borrowed a camera from school so I could take some pictures. They are all from the window of my Brooklyn Heights Dorm Room. Eventually I think I will take them on the short walk to the Brooklyn Bridge. That would be cool... Anyway. Here are my pictures....

XD (And then it turns cold and the snow lasts forever ^_^ Not like here in my part of Colorado where usually when it snows, it vanishes by noon. Silly altitude.)

This isn't exactly outside my house but an hour drive away. Me and my fiancé will get married in these woods in 2009 ^___^

 

There are many Ritzs throughout the world, but these are Zachary Ellis (Yukinojo) visiting San Francisco's...

Zachary is always interested in finery. That is one huge China cabinet!


More art, this time a cast metal sculpture. Zachary's bright blue eyes are really shining at this piece of art.


This picture shows a hotel guest taking a snap of Zachary! There were some people who thought Zachary was a girl because of his long hair...it seems no one noticed his brawny build and arms...


And lastly, here is Zachary signing the guest book...


I hope it was alright to post these pics here; I wanted an easily recognizable landmark and the hotel sign was the closest thing I can find at the moment.

From my balcony, there's not much to see looking to the east. Just the building 90 degrees to us.


To the north-west, however...



It's actually a residential area with a lot of really old, tall trees. This was taken in the early summer. Now the trees are all starting to turn colours.

And yes, he was VERY solidly on the railing. I would have never let go otherwise. Yet I still kind of have a bit of a heart attack just looking at this photoshoot now...

Well, these are from when I lived in Nevada (I totally need to get some pictures of Washington with my dolls..). This is the Lamoille National Forest or at least a small part of it. XD The last picture was a bit terrifying to get as she was on a bit of a small crevice/shelf on a cliff and we were taking photos on a larger shelf we had climbed down to...
