Wearables Woodland- Wizard Headdress [SOOM Chalco]

Phew, been a while since I crafted something for me sweeties....although there is still so much to do!
Crafting an armory for myself is taking all my time at the moment so even blushing my Chalco has to wait. As much as I would love to do it.
This weekend I just _had to_ craft a headdress, otherwise I would have bursted!

My Chalco, named Alduin, is going to be an earth-elementary wizard living a lonely life in the woods far away from civilisation. That's why he dresses in everything he can find on his lonely walks through the woods- beautiful and rare gems, the tooth of a young dragon, pearls of a tree-oyster (who sais there are only oysters in the water ^.~), feathers fallen out a griffons nest, a few lost coins from a trolls purse.


The headdress is made out of dyed rabbitfur and knick-knacks I had at home


Feather-details. The elegant golden wire holds a real tiger-eye gem.


Backview. Leather-snipples and eyeleds, stripes of fur and a real coyote-tooth, a few coins and feathers again (on the right).


One of the horns I crafted and blushed myself. In the fading from dark to bright there are golden sprinkles- hey shimmer so beautifully! The wire was bend by my honey, she makes wonderful jewelry with this method!


A leather-braid with an old button and some pearls frame the right side of his face.


Finally his eyecolor can be seen!


As mentioned this one is a mixture of everything I still had at home, born from the idea of giving him horns.
I still have some goathorns from Leeke, but they did not fit him. So I had to craft some myself and they looked so good I wanted to present them in a special way.
If it's his real horns or the old and lost ones of a still growing dragon is up to your own imagination ^.~

Thank you so much for loving it! I just had the idea of mixing everything together from all the leftovers I have here for quite some time already.
I am hoarding everything from my own costume-making for my dolls, because I might need it one day...*laugh*

It took me two afternoons and it's the first time I did something like this, so it's not too bad ^^

 

Oh, I hope he will do in time!
Designing a wizard is so exciting, because I find it hard to give them the mystical touch they deserve..
I am curious how yours will turn out in the future

Yes, I hammered the eyelets myself. I had some leatherscraps, some I cut into the form I needed, some I did not, but the eyelets I did. Was pretty fun, I hope I annoyed my neighbours xD
