Withdoll 16cm Tinies Discussion - Part 2

My Angry Cat arrived today, completely unexpected! Ordered November 3rd, arrived January 13th. I got him in the real skin and it’s a nice light tan color with the extra animals parts. I wasn’t expecting him for a couple months, so no wig or eyes. I’m really glad I got him! I have to think of a name too. (Such dolly problems, lol)

@spih yes, quite the attitude! He does look angry, lol. Mine is blank, and looks totally different!

 

Yes, the regular one on Withdoll site looked more surprised than angry. But I did not want an ordinary one, I wanted the one with attitude.

What can you say about the current quality of Withdoll's resin?

It looks very shiny in some photos.

 

My Withdolls are not shiny at all.

 

Mine isn’t shiny either. A nice matt, smooth resin.

 

My little Rudy is not shiny either, very matte resin and lovely after all these years.

 

I love the new alpaca babies! Does anyone know if the 16cm tinies wear the same size as Lati Yellow?

No posts in three months! Alex arrived today. I’m not sure if I like his look yet..he’s definitely cute though. I’m really struggling to photograph tinies, why do they look so much cuter in person?

I am playing around a bit with posing so when I have a chance I might get some better pictures but I have to say I love the weight of withdoll resin. I only have Lati yellow in the 1/8 size to compare so far but it’s a noticeable difference.

 

I just caved and ordered the Cat Witch Remi, without all the accessories. She'll be my second tiny doll

My two new Withdolls, Rocket and Jet, arrived today. I could not decide which one is cuter, so I had to get both:

I took advantage of the event and ordered Jet in real skin. I have wanted that sculpt for a long time and I was going to put it on my wishlist when the event came up.

It's nice that Withdoll re-releases their limited dolls from time to time so that one can get them later if one misses them the first time they are released.

I got new eyes for Rocket and Jet because the ones I put on them earlier were just some spares I had in my stock, and they did not look quite right. I also knitted them new rompers so that they could give the borrowed rompers back to my Lati Yellow dolls.

I just ordered a Rocket. I couldn't resist those teeth! I hope they send her with brown eyes, but if not I will have to go on the hunt for some. I ordered with the wig, but will probably change it. I didn't get the cute squirrel outfit, I have another outfit I plan for her to wear. The waiting begins. I expect her to ship around the beginning of February.

 

From my experience they ship with acrylic eyes, nothing like what is pictured

 

That is a bummer. I have some blue ones that will work, but I will be on the hunt for some brown glass ones before the doll arrives.

 

My Rocket and Jet came with brown plastic eyes. I also prefer glass eyes, so I got them new ones.

 

Is it normal not to get a confirmation email from them? I should have created an account before I put my order in so it doesn't show under my orders but luckily I took a screenshot of my order confirmation page when I purchased and I can manually enter it if I am not logged in. It shows it went through, but I never received an email (I did check the junk folder as well but nothing)

 

I ordered once as a guest and I don’t recall getting an email so like you said luckily I took a screenshot. If your order was recent it may take a few days to get an email. I think I messaged them on the q&a board saying order number….has been paid for with PayPal address…. They responded letting me know that they received my payment and I kept a screenshot of that too.

 

Thanks, yeah I created an account after I checked out but I had to put an email to place the order and it said I would receive an email confirmation. I ordered on November 2nd, nothing yet. I did pay with paypal and I took a screenshot of the order confirmation page so I should be ok, just wanted to know if this is normal for them and sounds like it may be.

Jet arrived last week and I ordered in real skin resin, it’s darker than I expected. I love it but I’m wondering if I got the right color?

 

I got my Rocket out of the blue and I have to say she is hands down my favorite tiny. These are so cute and their mobility is excellent for this size IMO

I just changed her eyes tonight, they are similar to the ones she came with but these are glass eyes and I prefer them. She is just so stinking cute

 

These little ones are all so cute that it surprises me that they are not more popular.

I have had a few Pukifees and Lati Yellows, and I personally like these better. I am going to have to see if my Lati head will fit on this body at some point because her posing is awful, but her face is so cute I would love to body swap her.

 

Jet arrived faster than expected so he has to wear pink and purple pajamas but I wanted to share a picture because he’s so cute! My friend said the pink and purple stripes actually remind her of the Cheshire Cat in the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland so it’s appropriate for my only smiling sculpt

 

Does someone know what is the difference between BWD boy and girl? I can only see ona version of the body and it looks kinda asexual...

 

Maybe the boy is anatomically correct? I only have girl bodies on my bwd and the website only shows a difference on the kwd body.

Did anyone order one of the new witch cat bwd?

 

On the 16cm body page you can choose a boy or girl but there are no pictures of the boy. I'm looking for my boy so I can take a picture!

Edit: the boy body does have a tiny boy bit. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

I’m so glad Rocket and Jet are now basic so I don’t have to wait for a re-release to order, I eventually want Rocket to go with my Jet but I’m not ready to buy him yet. I like the new body too, it looks mostly the same but poses better in the video they posted.

I have some Withdolls in different sizes all ordered and arrived at the same time that are significantly yellowed/heading to greening after only a year old and am wanting other collectors input.

@NineOneThree How is your Jet's colouring going and how old are they?

 

I just got jet right after Christmas in 2021 so I have not had him long. The resin doesn’t look different to me and I don’t have another real resin from withdoll to compare. It was darker than I expected though and honestly wasn’t sure if they sent me the right one, he photographs lighter than real life. I’m happy with the color but I’d like to know for future orders.

 

I have a Withdoll Angry Cat from February 2021. I think he is real skin. The parts exposed to light seem to have lost the reddish hue and are turning more greenish. I have a couple of Withdolls with normal skin (Jax from 2020) and they have also yellowed in areas that are exposed to light, but dolls from other companies seem to fade the same way, so I have not paid much attention to it. Rocket and Jet have not faded yet, but I just got them this year. I think they were honey skin. Generally the red color seems to fade from the resin with time.

 

Thanks! I know that red breaks down and expected them to change colour over time, I just thought it would be more gradual since my other dolls all took years to reach the same level of change. But, different companies and even resin colours are different. So I didn’t want to assume anything.

 

Have you noticed that Withdoll has made Chubby and Teeny basics, too! They are just too cute!

By the way, is there a thread for Withdoll KWDs? I noticed that Withdoll is now offering a re-release of KWD Snow Fox Jax. I don't care about the fox suit, but I'm very much tempted by KWD Jax. I have a 16 cm Jax, and a bigger version would be cute, too.

 

Yessss I was hoping for a Chubby basic. That face is too precious

KWD Jax is really tempting yeah, I kinda want him too. I'm curious what their Yo size is like anyway, I've only got a few littles.

 

I finally got around to doing face-ups for my cat witch girls. I can't do professional looking face-ups, but these will do for now. They still need names. I'm thinking of naming them Tantomile and Coricopat.

Yes, the eyes were an option with the Cat Witch release.

They are Sadol Planet eyes (Saturn). They are sold separately at least by Luts. Withdoll does not seem to sell eyes separately.
