WIP Edward, my third sculpt

This is a tough one to write about.

My brother died last December on Friday the 13th and I am dedicating this, my third sculpt, to him.
He was the smartest guy I know and I miss him. We both loved Dragons so this is my tribute to him. I am experiencing alot of tumultuous emotions while sculpting him. The joy and sorrow of childhood memories, the regret of not spending more time, and the anger at losing someone so young with so much more to accomplish.

I name this dragon BJD Edward for him.

the goal is to make his jaw jointed so he can open his mouth!

he will have some neck flares that will make his head look the right size (these are just rough shapes to approximate the size)

ok, back scales are done! Now I need to do some joint work on the feets and make the shoulders look nice where they meet the legs! I am super close to being able to test string with elastic!

there was a long break between the previous picture in July and This one in November. I had some major changes in life includeing moveing and some family drama. I had a period of silent depression. The kind that no one sees because you still smile on the outside but it robbs you of all energy and creativity. It sucked! I want to thank all of my friends who where there for me!

thanks for all the lovely comments! I am casting some Artist cast dolls, but now comes the arduous task of getting him pro-cast!

Three of these guys are headed out in the mail tomorrow! THey seem to love to pose and show how "fierce" they are. lol. I just think they are adorable!
The bad news is that Fdoll responded to my inquiry to tell me that my doll has too many pieces for them to cast. I hope one of the others is willing to cast him.
