This is a tough one to write about. My brother died last December on Friday the 13th and I am dedicating this, my third sculpt, to him. He was the smartest guy I know and I miss him. We both loved Dragons so this is my tribute to him. I am experiencing alot of tumultuous emotions while sculpting him. The joy and sorrow of childhood memories, the regret of not spending more time, and the anger at losing someone so young with so much more to accomplish. I name this dragon BJD Edward for him. I feel guilty that I didn't know this. I'm very sorry for your loss. I think this tribute is both appropriate and profoundly beautiful.
I am so sorry to hear about your brother. The way you are using your creative abilities to make a homage to someone so dear to you is very beautifull and touching. The progress on your dragon seems to be coming along great!! So many joints.. I'm looking forward to seeing him come into being.
tool for scale texture I sculpted one toe and made a mold to make 12 more TOES! scale details the feet are comeing together now
This is a wonderful way to honor your brother. Your dragon looks really cool so far, with all the joints and scale details. Ialways find it very interesting to see the home made tools everyone works with .^^ I am very much looking forward to see your dragon's head!

You've done such an impressive job! The dragon looks incredible! I absolutely love the sculpt of his head and the amount of detail is just WOW!
your dragon is absolutely gorgeous! I think your brother would be honored by your tribute to him. I'm very sorry for your loss.
thanks for all the lovely comments! I am casting some Artist cast dolls, but now comes the arduous task of getting him pro-cast!
Three of these guys are headed out in the mail tomorrow! THey seem to love to pose and show how "fierce" they are. lol. I just think they are adorable! The bad news is that Fdoll responded to my inquiry to tell me that my doll has too many pieces for them to cast. I hope one of the others is willing to cast him. LMD Edward dragons survey!
