mmkies... I'm always looking for an easier way to do things <is lazy> and so, I decided to try to find a pattern software. Needless to say, i did, and it wasnt free... BUT! after looking some more, I found another pattern maker. Wild Things -it doesn't really have clothing but it does have: Hats- sun hat, baret, baseball hat, visor, ear muffs & warmers, ski hat, rain hat, newsboys cap Wraps- Evening Wrap, Tunic, Poncho, Apron, Shaw, Cape Belts- Lace up, V Yoke, Scoop, Cinch, Gladiator Bags- tote bag, gym bag, yoga mat, Backpack, waist wallet, evening bag, shoulder bag, travel tote, drawstring bag, carrying case, ergo bag, clutch purse, tie bag, jewelry bag Footwear- slippers, booties, flipflops Assorted Pocket options for all w/ custom pocket height/width Best thing of all, it has custom settings for everything: length, height, width, depth, circumference maybe someone can use this? I found it interesting for perhaps making custom tote bags to carry dolls in
Wow, that is a really cool! I'm not a very experienced sewer, but that makes me feel like perhaps I can give it a try and have something turn out decent. Thank you for sharing!
I hope the company has improved the software. I tried one of the earlier versions years ago and found it an unworkable solution for full scale patterns. The designs were formulaic and rigid, and then there's the problem of printing them. For dolls, however, the latter may be less of an issue, provided the program will function with doll scale measurements. It could refuse anything outside of industry size perameters. Good luck with that! I hope it works.
I wish this was Mac compatible without using bootcamp or anything like that lol. I'll have to use it on my crappy old PC at home lol Thanks for sharing!
I downloaded it and everything works for dolls except for the footwear! If you set the units to cm's everything goes down as small as 2cms.
I use a mac but did try one of the several pattern software and used it on a PC. I was not impressed and had to rework everything anyway. Wild things does look interesting though I might give it a whirl
hmm... these look interesting :> since i'm prone to free-styling doll clothes this will be handy for giving me baseline shapes to mess about with. :3
I think it's safe to say that whoever comes up with a pattern generator for BJD will hit the jackpot, and end up rich eve if they sell it cheap lol I will look at this one for accessories and things and see what happens Thanks
I can't wait to try this out! I am another sewing beginner. I think this would be super helpful to practice with and maybe build skills
