Wigs for Bambicrony?

I use Monique and Kemper 5-6 for Melodiya.

that 5-6 is best, and 6 is fine, and 6-7 is too big.

 

I just measured around Gaspard's little skull and got 6.25"
I'd go for smaller and stretch.

The Leekeworld 6/7 ate his whole head, but those aren't stretch caps.

cancan_jseries, kemper and Monique all have smaller sizes.

 

I have also made wigs for several of the Bambie Cronies around here
they do have a tiny head ...the Leeke wigs I had were too large
which was a shame I love Leeke wigs
CanCans were a nice fit
but I LOVE to see these girls in fur wigs
(search dosnt work for me either most of the time either )

 

I ordered two wigs in advance of my Bambicrony's arrival--a Monique 5/6 called Pinky, and a mohair wig by Global called Penny (6/7).

The 5/6 Monique wig is snug to get on, but it stays. The Global wig has a little velcro adjustment, so it'll stay, though not as tightly.

Bambicrony sent me a blonde wig, which I like, except the wig cap is *huge*. I think I might be able to do some sewing machine surgery on it, though.

it has both 5.5 and 6 size
so 5.5. is best then??

big fat bummer all come with bangs, I wanted a bangless long straight white one to mod myself, I thought that I was looking for something rather simple but apparently not

It's pretty much white and has no bangs, though I don't know if it's as long as you want it to be.

I got it from www.moniquewigs.com You can find lots of different styles there and most give you many color options. Bleached blonde will give you a rather white color.

big fat bummer, someone back up there said leeke´s are too big..they have so many styles! are they really that big on BCs?

 

I'm having fun fitting Sisley *and* my Cherishdoll Alley cone. some 5-6 wigs work, some don't fit either girl. I've ordered a couple of Monique wigs in a 6-7 for Sisley, since the ones in 5-6 were almost tight, and one didn't fit at all. I've wound up with a pink Pinky in 5-6 that doesn't fit either girl. I have one beautiful tinybear wig that fits, thanks to the wet/stretch thing, and I have a size 6 Cancan wig on the way. But today I sent my Sisley head off to be painted, so can't try anything else on her for about 3 weeks.

 

Thank you! I'm not sure where you could find pure white wigs.. I haven't really seen any. Have you tried eBay? Or you could put up a WTB thread in the Marketplace asking to buy one of the full-set wigs, which I'm sure some people will be willing to sell.

And I keep hearing that Leeke wigs are just too big on BC dolls, so I wouldn't waste your money if you have no other doll you could put it on instead

I have a Can Can 6-7 on one of my bambicrony girls with a Silicone wig cap (like here http://www.denverdoll.com/wigcaps.html). The wig was a bit too big without the cap and now it fits like a dream. I love love love these caps. =D

 

If I want to get a Monique Ginger style wig, should I get a 5-6 or 6-7? It sounds like different styles fit differently, and I don't want one that's too small! Does anyone have one for their Bambicrony?

I would go for the 5-6
thats what size I had for my Unoa , and it was a tight fit

so would fit the BC

6 to 7 would be far to big

It would be slightly large, but you can use the rubber band trick or one of the wig caps mentioned in an earlier post to hold it on.

Get a thick, clean rubber band and wrap it around the head. It sort of fills the gap in and stops wig slippage. Works great!

And I have to say I just got a Monique Nikki in 6/7 that is way more a 6 than 7 whick looks superb on Gaz! Tough luck Yo, this one is claimed

Now he's brunet instead of ginger. It looks great!

I've been wanting a hogwarts uniform for one my dolls haven't found one yet in tiny size. I lost the spampy auction.

Yup tinybear wigs are the best. I try to get every doll one of their own. My older one says Gloriana's her favorite doll.

I have 2 differen size 6/7 Monique wigs that fit my elf Kumi PERFECTLY - like a glove. I have a size 6 CanCan wig on the way which I hope fits well. A Bambicrony was wearing it in the CanCan photo. She came with this little long white wig in the pic but I don't know what kind it is. It came from the person I bought her from. ADDED NOTE - I just discovered this wig GLOWS IN THE DARK a light neon green! I almost had a heart attack when I discovered it. I'll take a pic later and try to capture it.

 

A 6/7 wig I own fits my Twill perfectly. I will take pictures and post them tonight

I have 5 7/8" written down for Lati Yellow & 6 1/4" for Bambicrony.
I use diffferent patterns for them when I make wigs.

 

One Monique Gold 6/7 Jojo wig I previously bought for my Narae was too small for her - it required a lot of force to get on Narae. That one fits my BC perfectly. But I know my other 6/7 Jojo's are looser than that.

If I had spoken to you yesterday , my answere may have been different

I was just talking to a customer of mine about the differences in BC heads ..last night

she has Pepe ...closer to size 6 , she says there is little difference between Pepe and her smaller Yo

which surprised me , I have a Charity head ....I would definalty go for 5 5.5 for her her head is tiny !

Pepe and Sisily (sp sorry) have BIG heads ..Charity and some of the others are smaller
they are also different shapes ..so its a pain when you make the skin wigs

I tend to make all my wigs on the smaller size , then the customer can stretch them to fit their tinys head

after all my wigs are leather ...and it has natural qualities , like stretching and moulding to the dolls heads

I must admit , I only have my wigs on my tinys now
although I do have some of CanCans ,I love the quality of her wigs , and they fit my smaller kids to perfection..I love the realistic colours and styles I can get with my fur

...and I LOVE seeing customers pictures

I just received 2 Cancan wigs, size 6 (not 5-6, not 6-7) and both fit Pepe. They fit snugly to stay on but are not tight. One was style sp11a (a below the shoulder cut with bangs) and the other was sp01a (long wavy hair with bangs).

No idea - I think wigs described as "size 5" would be too small. Formydoll lists their own tiny as having a 5-inch head though they might mean wig size. A 6-inch head is an inch larger. And I would think even smaller Bambicrony heads must be close to 6.

I bought Bree an Antina's size 6 style W-143 wig on Ebay. It lets the ears show nicely. This is the light blond in this style - I guess it's not as light as the light blond in some other styles (or they sent me dark blond by mistake). It has cute wispy ringlets along the nape.

Anyways.... I was wondering if anyone has a leekeworld wig that they did buy, and have tried to "fix" it so it will fit. I mean isnt there something that can be done? Maby sow a elastic band into it to tighten it up? Or are they just really really huge? I really want one specific one from them and I was hoping that there maby was some fixer upper...

Can anyone show me what the problem is maby? Post a picture of your baby wearing a leeke sized wig from Leekeworld ofcourse?

((I am basically asking to see if the wig really goes *nom nom nom* and totally eats the head up or if its just loose and huge on it.))

 

Anybody know where to find a brown pig-tailed wig for a BC? Or at least a straight haired wig that reaches to the shoulder blades? I've gone to all the links in this thread, but I can't seem to find anything suitable. :/

 

Do you mean braids or ponytail-style pigtails?

BTW - I have had my best luck trimming wigs with a real hair scissors. I have one pair of hair scissors I have never used on cloth or paper - just hair. It worked the best. I used a clean tall bottle as a wig stand and just crumpled aluminum foil into a ball on and around the top.

I just got a boatload of wigs in. Some of the small ones fit on the BC Roko Selmada brought over. My camera broke today but I believe she got a few good pics of the one we tried on her.

the leeke wigs all fit, but for some the bangs would need trimming and i'd recommend velcro.

Misty wears a Leeke wig because I'm picky on hairstyle and she must have curly white ponytails =_= Bambicrony doesn't sell them in white:



I don't really know how to describe the problem...other than the wig being way large when I first tried it on. Like the wig doesn't even stay on her head and slips right off. Also, the bangs completely cover her face, making it look like what some has described as "swimming in the wig."

What I did do is tightening the ponytails--it seemed to pull the wigcap tighter on either sides. I also made her wear a thick rubber band underneath the wig. The bangs are trimmed and thinned in the front as well. So now the wig stays on. I still don't particularly like how the bangs stick out though.

So in conclusion I'd say Leeke wigs can work, but you need some method to tighten the headcap (ie. loose hairstyles might be more difficult to deal with than something that's tied). I'm looking for a shorter white wig because I just...can't deal with the massive amount of flyaways >_> anyone has pointers to a white double-ponytail wig for BC?

I just bought a whole slew of wigs and found that 5-6 size wigs from Monique work quite nicely on my girls.

 

I bought some Leeke wigs 6-7, too, and yes, they are definitely big on my LSG Pepe and MB Kumi... But I think I will try and tighten them with elastic, since I really like the color and the styles!

I tried a Monique Gold 6-7 and it fit OK.

Aquire 6-7 fit, (although it had a kind of bump at the top--where the hair was too thick).

Darkmothflame's fur wigs fit nice and snug, since she puts lots of elastic in.

Have a 6-7 mohair wig from Pam/sewaddicted and the cap is skin and not elastic, so it's a bit loose. Can also probably be fixed by sewing some elastic in the cap.

 

I am going crazy with Farore´s wig. I have been on the marketplace since february looking for a straight white wig with some bangs. (aka one of the fullsets as I know no others) but no one will sell

I got one from leeke but it´s really huge.... I have thought about cutting a little triangle off the headcap and then sewing it back.. but not sure about that, waht do you think????

The wig does not even stay on, it falls over and eats up the head. I can fix it a little with a hairband...but not the way to go...Even if I get it to stay it looks huge and eats up all the faceup than can barely be seen


Man I wonder where they got those fullset wigs...looked al over but there´s no way of finding white ones.. no one will sell and I already have a girl wearing fur... don´t want any more for now

You´re lucky you got the one from Snowdrop for Nightwish, april... why on earth did´nt they make grey fullsets..

 

Hmmm... I'm not sure if cutting a wig-cap would work, since the threads holding the hair in might come loose.

I'm going to try sewing in elastic. And will maybe trim the hair a little so it's not in the eyes. Or maybe try styling it a bit. Maybe people in the Customization part of the forum will know what to do?

Yes, it's hard to find just a long straight Milk-colored wig in the right size... Monique and Cancan wigs fit nicely, but they don't have Milk color.

The Fullsets were lovely. a little expensive for me, though! So not sure if I'd have got a full-set LSG if they offered... but maybe! The wigs and shoes and outfits were so nice!!!

 

I´ll try the elastic thing too..that was my backup plan ...and seems much less dangerous XD

Knowing this style/size of wigs are so hard to get.. I would´ve snatched a grey fullset in a heartbeat..if there´d been one
