Hi, I'm wanting to style this cheap synthetic wig I bought for my girl but I'm wondering what products to use? Do I just use hairspray like usual for styling or is there a specific product I should get? I'm just worried about anything rubbing off on the doll as the main thing I want to fix in place are her bangs, I want them to lay in a certain way. Any tips are appreciated as I've never done this before before and have no idea how to approach this! I do know about boil washing and I want to do a few small braids and am going to use that technique to ensure they don't unfurl easily in the future.
I have only used mousse in doll wigs and it has to be alcohol free. Other then that I have no experience. But whatever you use make sure alcohol free and easy to wash out. Good luck.
Volks makes some specialty products and dollspart offers a very small barreled curling iron (though I’ve have seen small on Amazon) and minidolls makes one with a 2mm barrel!
omg thank you! I'll look into what Volks offers @animemom Thank you for the tip! I'll keep it in mind as I wanted to make a less permeant fix for another doll's wig so I'll keep my eyes open for alcohol free mousse!
If you use hairspray do NOT spray it while the wig is on the doll, or it will ruin the faceup! https://www.antiquelilac.com/uploads/5/1/5/1/5151368/20809_orig.jpg Teddy
