Shopping Wig size for Volks Bianka?

    1. I have tried various searches but I couldn't find a specific answer. Apologies if I missed it somehow or I am posting in the wrong location.

      I know that Volks released Bianka with a DD sized wig. Is the DD size correct? If so what does that correlate to in LeekeWorld sizes?

      Also, is there a thread to teach you how to measure for wig size? I couldn't find one.

      I found somewhere while on break at work what the DD size equaled but I didn't have a place to write it down and naturally I can't find it again :sweat

      Thank you all for your time. I feel very lucky to have this special girl on the way (although due to sad circumstances)

    2. Well, most DD wear 8-9 inch wigs.

      And you measure wig size by putting a tape measure (or a piece of string or ribbon) round your doll's head, right behind the ears and across the forehead. Something like this.

    3. DD is meant to be about 22.5cm, SD size is 23.5cm
      Of course this still varies within the doll lines themselves, so honestly it doesn't meant a whole lot... My DD Rin Tohsaka has a larger head than some of my SDs. You're best off measuring her head to make sure. Generally, SDs take 9-10 and DD takes 8-9, but this is very dependant on the specific head honestly, I have lots of SDs in 8-9 and DD in 9-10. If the wig is too large, you can get a silicon wig cap (Volks also sells little silicon rings- Pitatto Rings), if it's too small it'll be a little harder to work with.

      Thank you. Since she is coming with the default wig I think I will wait to order the wig I want to buy for her until I can measure her head. Thank you for the tip on the wig caps!
