I only seems to have luck posting a picture if I first post in on Deviantart and then here!!! I don't like how deviantart works either and flicker and dropbox dont seems to work!!! please help
Dunno how you usually work with flickr, but actually it's rather to display pictures on a board like this. - Got to your flickr, go to the pic you want to share and select it. - On the right side you should have a few symbols, one of them looks like an arrow. Click it. - You should have 4 options on top. Click the last one - BBCode. - Select a medium size at the drop-down function (below what looks like a link). 480x640 for example is a great size to share on boards like this. - Now click in the link. It should turn the background blue, marking the whole thing. Copy it. - Come back here, check where you wanted to share the pic, go into the thread, make your post and then paste the link you copied earlier. - The Preview function is your friend, showing off what your post is going to look like. -Happy? Then click 'post reply'. - Otherwise, adjust your post, before posting Overall: Enjoy and have fun :3 Hope this helped.
I never had any luck with Flickr. Imgur is what I ended up having to use. If you have a Facebook account then you can use that to log in. Upload your pictures there, and then to share them...I always right-click on the link presented in the "Direct Link" option, and I cut and paste that to the "images" option here. Usually the resulting image is big enough to be seen, but small enough that it won't have to be fixed as time goes by. If Flickr gives you any attitude, try Imgur. Best of luck!
@Biku_27 Photos can only be shared on DoA if they have a direct image URL (something that begins with http and ends with .jpg). The reason that deviantArt works is because it gives a direct image URL. Dropbox does not work on DoA, and if you are using Flickr you need to use the BBCode sharing options that Flickr offers. That option is only available on a PC - they do not offer an ability to access the correct code on mobile devices. Facebook is not a good solution though. Facebook recycles their image URLs, so, while they work at first, they will break after a time, which is why a static, permanent URL from a dedicated photo hosting site is preferable. Imaged hosted on Flickr, Imgur, Photobucket, Tumblr, deviantArt, and Postimage.org are some of the best options for hosting photos on DoA. It may help to watch some tutorials on how to use the different photo hosting sites, so you can find one that works the best for you.
You're very welcome! A lot of photo-sharing stuff isn't really made with forums in mind anymore, so it can be tough to figure out the best options these days!
