The Supia girl won’t be a long wait, as I’m getting her second hand. Still probably have another month and a half as far as Raccoon Doll goes. So excited for both of them!

 

I'm currently waiting for RD - Hua Cheng, DV Paris and Apocalypse-Black Horsemen

 

Not a doll but a body. I had grown tired of the Doll Legend body my girl has had for a while, it didn't live up to my expectations aesthetically, so I just purchased a Myou Doll body. I hope it fits her well (fingers crossed!)

 

Waiting on a few, but none that I haven't had in the works for a while.

It seems like a long list when I write it all out...

 

Since I just received my MYOU LE Michelle, I am trying to be patient about my new Hanged Man and Penny. They probably won't get here until spring, both being full sets, and HM a LE. Meanwhile I'm working on back stories and characters, especially HM. Also I'm slowly getting clothes, etc. Penny is easy, a cheerful teenager who's also an urban warrior. HM? I'll probably need to see her first.

 

11 days into 2023 and I already bought 2-and-a-half dolls.

The "half" doll is Kanadoll Mars, whom I've been searching for for a couple months. I finally found the head sculpt secondhand and he's on the way to me. Good thing I already have his hybrid body, so he'll be whole the moment he gets home.

Then there's Dream Valley Achelous, human version on a DV human body. This one was a slow burn - I sat on this most of December, weighing up whether I wanted a 1/4 doll in spite of collecting them no more. I did, and could fit him into my 1/3 crew and their story. I've paid for him and now waiting for him to be made.

And then there was the impulse buy that came completely out of the blue: Bimong 68cm Narin. I'd never expected to fall so hard and fast for a sole artisan, but Bimong's dolls amazed me when I laid eyes on them. I asked Bimong, and it so happens that 68cm Narin was available for preorder... so, I'm getting a Bimong boy on layaway now. This has quite scuppered my BJD spending plans, and I have no idea how he'll fit into my doll crew's story, but I will come up with something!

I do have one more doll to get on my wishlist (just waiting for the preorder to open) but - whew, that's quite enough of buying new dolls, and I need to watch my budget for the rest of the year. I think all these dolls will ship gradually throughout the year, so I plan (hope) to be contented with receiving and enjoying them over time.

I’m currently waiting for my Dream Valley Cayes (human ver). I fell in love with his face sculpt, but I was a bit apprehensive about buying him at first because I’ve heard that Dream Valley strings their dolls really tight. I was also worried that by the time he got here I’d no longer be as interested in him as I had been before, but after staring at his listing daily for a couple of months I decided to just bite the bullet and order him.

I promised myself no new dolls this year, but I'm still waiting for my Yan Ling II (Loongsoul) from last year. He's a fullset with faceup, so I'm not expecting him for at least another month...but the anticipation is astounding!!

 

Actually, waiting on a MDD mochiashi body and a head I ordered here on DOA. Was not really expected, but I figured it was a good time to finally get a doll, THE doll brand, that I had been longing for so long over. I'm going to make her into a Genshin character, my current obsession.

 

I was on my doll dealer’s website (very innocently, being good, inquiring about paying off my layaway early for a yosd DZ Happy) when wouldn’t you know it…I saw the Dollzone Happy-2! And she’s even cuter! I couldn’t resist her, so now she’s on her way too.

 

Well I'm waiting for a doll head I've found to match my character still to be available to purchase which is an Enzo Head from Migidoll. I've heard he is supposed to have a new face up though I want it without one. I was so hoping he would've came out last year in November or December
In the meantime, I've just been looking around for other doll sculpts I like and possible bodies I could use to shell my character with.

 

I’m still waiting on my Fairyland Rendia— and I just bought my wife a Resinsoul Mei (she wanted one much cheaper since she’s not quite into the hobby as hard as me), so we’re waiting on all of that still. I’m trying to make clothes/gather clothes in the meanwhile!

 

Waiting on my Huajing Teny (just paid off the last of her layaway), a Minifee Lima head, and still paying off the layaways on a Huajing Mu Zhi and a Bimong Cocoro. I did tell myself, that’s it for the year, but I kind of have my eye on a Huajing Eva and a Huajing Jiujiu!

 

I am waiting a Lamoon, Loppi moon and a Kimiko. Villiune style dolls are what got me to go "oh I actually want to buy that" so I am really new of dolls as hobby! It was only until I met the really nice people on the discord that I found out it wasn't normal >-<

 

Ah, congrats! I wanted to be a part of the last preorder but needed to wait. I really want a Harucasting doll in their very dark tan.

 

I'm currently still waiting for my Loong Soul doll I ordered and the wait is killing me. He's just so pretty...

I've been filling my time by looking for neat accessories and other miscellaneous items to decorate his personal spot with that I've prepared.

• First is my Dollfie Dream Kaito, Sora, who I am waiting to pay off from Volks
• My Withdoll Ian, who is going to be the Genshin Gymnasium version of Scaramouche
• aaaand most recently I'm also waiting on a Unoa L-Bi head! A doll that I have always wanted but never thought I would actually have in my collection after my original attempt to get one ended up extremely badly. Still, I was hunting down a shell for my original character, Owane, and he was the perfect fit, so... excitement!

These three have got me extremely busy. From making elaborate props to dabbling into eye-making for the first time... Just really excited to be back in the hobby.

I'm currently waiting for a 5stardoll Nancy in tan skin. I wanted a yosd for so long, and I'm really happy its this sculpt ! I can't wait to receive her outfits too (I'm planning on buying a bunch of clothes from a few taobao shops this week).

Aaand... I wouldn't really call it "waiting for a doll" but, in a few weeks, Kim Arnold will open her preorders again, and this will finally be my chance to get one of my grail dolls, so I really hope I won't miss it !

 

I'm currently waiting for Raccoon Doll Celine (milk mocha skin), Black Cherry Agave (secondhand), and a body for my Dollysmith Max head.

 

I think I may have mentioned I'm waiting on a Dika Doll Winter Solstice here before, but I'm waiting for that and also now a Dust of Dolls Roze Chae! I've been interested in DoD since 2010 and never had the money to spend on one before, so I'm super excited to get in on the preorder this time.

 

Totally admitting to a complete impulse buy this time (which is something I almost never do, fortunately.) But I just purchased a Dream Valley Olivia, their 1/4 rabbit girl. Since I already have an area of my collection called “bunnyland”, I just couldn’t resist…especially in this year of the rabbit. I had to put her on a long layaway to pull it off, but there you go.

After years of random sales and no advertising and just limited stock, I finally ordered 2 Fabien and Laurent from daydream bjd

 

I got VERY excited and got two floating heads and a body for my Soren.
For the body i got 2d doll's new 75cm body.
I got Switch's Kaien WS ( I almost got Hwahui Hiver but I held back.. low key regret though!) and MARS Jin in NS! Now I'm gonna let them be floating heads for a while and save up for a body... maybe DFH body? We'll see!

 

Waiting on a Loongsoul Wei Yue Yan (F), Moon Fairy Si, and Angell-Studio's Jing! I ordered my Loongsoul girls back in March and AS in April. Not sure if Jing will arrive before the first two since AS's time frame seems to vary a little and LS are already 2 months in, but we'll see! I'm very excited.

 

I went from "why on earth would you order a doll when you have one waiting?" to having FOUR in various stages. And a head. And a body. I think it's time to hit the pause button, ouch.

Hi! Waiting for 2 Skyland dolls. I got Pigi from the 1st preorder, so I’m already a fan!!! So I ordered Bogun in December, and I just preordered Fern in April.

I’m a bit worried, tho, because the December preorder has arrived a while ago and still hasn’t shipped…

edit for clarity; it arrived at the artist’s place and he had to make the faceups and prepare everything…

 

I have a couple dolls in pre-order status from 3 different artists: Dollshe, Menagerie Marmite Sue, and Pasha Pasha. This hobby definately requires patience.

 

This is probably an off-topic doll but that Tinyfox Debby is really cute! It’s such a shame that, as of now, she’s a preorder… Dolk BJD currently lists her estimated shipping date as anywhere between 4 to 7 months… That means she might not be released until December! Talk about a long wait! But if I do wind up preordering her, at least I know for sure that my future self will be very happy. So, I have to decide what I’d like to do…

 

I have a Momoni Pitusa Mini Reira in Petal that I'm picking up from a friend I bought her from.

Then I have to wait a few more months still for a Dream Valley B56-01 in light tan, Doll Family H jointed 1/3 hands in Volks normal, Doll Family H jointed 70cm hands in Volks normal, and Doll Chateau K-body-02 in peach.

Hopefully I should have everything by maybe February or March 2024?

I completed my Kanadoll Mars hybrid, and received DV Achelous that I ordered in January. 2 new dolls and they both arrived within days of each other.

I'm still waiting for Bimong Narin which I ordered in January. Bimong estimated he'll deliver at the end of 2023...

I recently jumped into two preorders for heads - Vings/Dollvings Seira, and Joydoll Lai - bought them both in mid-June, within a week of each other. (Seems like I have a pattern of buying several new dolls together...) ETA for both of them is October.

So I'm now waiting for a full doll and two heads. I'll probably buy a body for one of those heads before the end of the year.

 

I have a secondhand Volks MSD Mako coming from the US and a mystery perhaps-hybrid on a SD10 boy body (won't know for certain until he gets home) coming from Japan.

I'm 2/3 the way through layaway payments for a Dollmore Kara Klum.

I also just put in an order through a Japan-based proxy for a Volks SD F-60/Coco in sunlight skin.

Too many dolls...maybe...but I'm going through some very painful family circumstances right now and it's nice having something to look forward to

Edit: Paid off my Kara Klum so more dolls sooner!
