Hybrids Which bodies work for Minifee/MNF heads?

Just for reference I tried MNF Chloe head on a Leekeworld artbody, it looked pretty good.

 

Curious about a Resinsoul head (Wu if possible) on a MNF active line body girl body. I am looking for proportions, as I plan to dye the character green.

Anyone have a comparison for a Minifee head on the Loongsoul MSD girl body?

 

I was trying out some of my floating heads on a Rosette pure lady body. This is a Minifee Modded DES head.






The inside of the neck has a hot glue ring to help with the large amount of gaping.

I'm sure a neck piece of some sort would help the fit, but the head still looks much bigger in proportion to the rest of the body.

 

Does anybody know how well a Minifee head fits on a D.I.M. boy body (v2/version 2)?

 

Anyway, I do have a skin comparison for you.

It's Fairyland's Natural skin on the left (Minifee Chloe from 2012) and Withdoll's Normal skin (2013) on the right. I think it's quite a good match! (I didn't swap heads, though.)

 

Reika - thanks for the comparison, that does look pretty good. Would you be interested in doing a head swap at some point?

Well, I can try, but I don't think that a full head swap will work without changing the Minifee body's neckpiece. I can try to put my Chloe's head onto the Withdoll body, though.

Reika - That is actually what I'm interested in, I'm thinking about a minifee head on a withdoll body.

 

Boo boo boo this does not work. Proportionately it's great, but the DZ neck is WAY too small for the giant, gaping MNF head
With modding it might work, but I'm not sure what it would look like, I feel like the mods would be too visible. And I'm not sure I want to bother with modding. *giant sigh* I'm so disappointed....I wanted a MNF girl on this body!! Back to the drawing board.....

random bumps for this thread. I put my Breakaway on a Dollzone body and it's great. I do feel like DZ hands are a bit big (but then I feel like they're large for the DZ heads too XD and I like big hands!!!) but it might be lack of faceup that makes it look that way. He's still blank btw XD I have to do mods on him before the faceup and I'm procrastinating like mad....



The Breakaway is from whatever year they were gift heads, and the body is new this year, so the head is a tad yellower, but with a faceup it'll be fine. I had to fill the head with hot glue :P but I think I'll grab a connector and do it the right way as I love this combo, and will be keeping him this way....

 

OMG you have no idea how happy I am to see this hybrid! I was thinking about doing the same for my BA too!
Do you happen to have anymore pics/would you be willing to take more pics of this hybrid for me? I'd love to see more fullbody shots and such.

Also does anyone know which NS color MNF's will match better with for DZ? I'm thinking NS yellow since the normal skin seems too pink but I'm not sure lol. I've only ever seen their tan in person.

I whitened his head before giving him a faceup, then it got dark again when I finished him lol. I have a heavy blushing hand XD

Does anyone know of any shorter bodies that a MNF Juri 13 head might fit on? I'm looking for the in between MSD and YOSD/odd sizes for this head but I'm unsure where to start really lol.
I'd prefer a boy body but for refs girl bodies are fine XD

 

I'd been wondering the same thing myself. I don't have pictures, and now I can't get any (as I sold my Karsh) but with a little modding I think it would work on a Dollmore Narsha body. I tried my (former) Karsh head on my Narsha boy body to see how it looks, and I liked it. It would probably need some hot glue in the neck, and some blushing to match as Dollmore NS is lighter than FL and the WS is way whiter, but if I ever manage to get both Juri 13 head and another Narsha body I'm totally doing this.

 

That was one body I was considering XD I wanna say that the Juri head is smaller than the other MNF heads though and would probably look better on it than any other MNFs but I could be wrong. (If I'd thought of it before I would have also tried with one of my MNF heads when I was borrowing my friends Shabee body for making some clothes lol. )

Bumping up again, for resin match between recent FL NS and DZ colors. I'll also take pictures of MNF heads on the DZ B45-003 body (45cm double jointed male body, with 3-part torso), since I'm most strongly leaning toward that to hybrid with my Sarang head.

 

I've got an old MNF Marcia head I bought off the MP that I want to put on an AoD body, the head is normal so which AoD resin would work best? I'm not too fussy as long as it's not glaringly off!

 

It would work on my Customhouse Little Junior body if I had a neck doughnut. They're the same size as Unoa Chibi... and I think Little Monica something-or-other (^^, but the Juri 13 head is pretty large in comparison to the heads that come on the body, so it looks a little bobble headed.

 

If she's really old, it might be harder to tell without comparison photos. I got an F60 Mirwen with the Nanuri 12B head in late 2012. Both heads have been on the same AOD girl body - it's NSP and they match(ed) pretty well.

If she's much older she might be darker. My old LTF and Breakaway are much darker than the NSP. I've never seen the NSY in person, so I really don't have any idea what it looks like, but if it doesn't have any pinkish tones at all, you might still be better off going with pink.

I saw a lot of hybrids but they all quite old. And How to solve a problem with missing neck-piece?

 

A match with new FL (this year-ish) and current SD probably wouldn't be too bad. New FL is a lot paler and pinker than it used to be (my new LTF is completely different from my old one - which sucks, none of the hands match).

Did you want a boy or girl? I can't really get an accurate fit as my only MNF head is on a DZ boy body and has been temporarily filled with hot glue until I can get him a neck-piece. Which is how I solved the problem of not having one -- fill in the hole, use a neck donut on the inside -- which might only work with my guy as he's a sp head and has no eyes. Other people have used washers, or permanently modded the head with epoxy.

 

I've been wondering about that, actually... if it would work to put the FL neck piece on another doll (I'm specifically looking at a DZ boy body, in fact) to get the head to fit, rather than using a neck donut and filling the hole. Though I don't know that you'd be able to answer that, if he's your only one, but hopefully someone who comes by can answer!

 

Thank you for reply! I want to get SD body for MNF Siean and Sarang. Their heads look bigger than others so I don't want to place them on FL bodies. Shoulders seem to look narrower for such a big-heads

 

i had the neck piece working on aod, doll love and fantasy doll necks before as a hybrid. the fit was good and the colour matches were very near the fairyland head i had.

Has anyone put a WS MNF head on the new DZ MSD girl body(b45-008)? I would love to see pictures!

 

I don't have pictures, but I tried without the neck piece and without modding the head it won't work. The neck hole of a MNF is way too big for that skinny neck. It might not work with the neck part either because of that, but I didn't have one and couldn't try it. If you can get it to work, color should be fine.

I just got a MNF Shiwoo head for my Dollzone 003 boy body. I am using the neck part for this, and it's awesome. He's an older head so it's not a perfect match, but it's close (especially irl), and I can match it.



I am very much not a fan of the MNF body, this is a fantastic alternative. I do think there are quite a few of these in this thread -- but mine has Doll Chateau Youth boy hands on! lol not that you can see them here....they's huge.

It's available as one of the extra parts on FairyLand's site; I'm sure DDE could get it, too.

 

I could have swore that I read somewhere that DDE was not ordering them anymore, but I don't know why that would be...I just got mine second-hand. Someday I might have to just order some stuff from FL though and if that's the case I'll just get one from them.

 

Ok I got the head I need to hybrid it's the vampire shiwoo from luts so it's from 2007 or 2008ish I believe not sure if it's yellowed because it's been out of my possession for sometime but I was wondering what others besides DZ would match an older head?

 

I'm looking at a couple of bodies now for my hybrid-to-be, and wondering if there's anyone yet who has a resin match between new CP/FL NS resin (which seems to be a little pinker on the last round) and Island Doll resins (normal, island and pink range), as well as to recent DollZone resins. (I'm looking at both the Island Doll "ID 46cm Boy Body - Strong Body" and DollZone "DZ 45cm Boy Body (B45-003)"; I know the DZ body will work, but like the look of the ID body slightly more, so if anyone knows anything about the compatibility of that body, I'd love to hear about it, too!)

 

Has anyone put a MNF on the Souldoll girl body yet?? Now I'm thinking of doing it, and would like to know how/if it fits...

 

I have an older Souldoll girl body that I'm using in a hybrid; if no one has one already assembled, I can try swapping on a MNF head on my weekend and see if it at least generally fits. (I don't have a spare neck piece or any spare donuts, so I won't be able to properly string it up, but can hold it on and see if it would work.)

 

I'm getting a souldoll girl soon, and i can grab pix when she comes in. I too am curious about the reson match. its so hard to get the NS to match!! Resinsoul is a fairly comparable...but the normal skin RS body yellows very yellow...ill see if i can get a pic today

 

I saw one Leekeworld Art body hybrid pic on here but I'd love to see more from different angles. I'm thinking of doing this type of hybrid. I also wonder if how the DC kid body looks with MNF heads?

 

Are you looking at the regular kid body or the one with extra joints? The resin is not a great match, but the proportion is pretty good. I have the DC k-08 body, and my Breakaway head looks good next to it, but FL resin is very creamy while DC is STARK white. I'm waiting to see how it mellows.

 

Either one at this point. I'd just like to see what they would look like before I commit. Color isn't really a problem for me since I heavily blush my dolls anyway. Proportions are my biggest thing.

Getting a Soony head in a trade and I would like a body that is either male or very ambiguously female (no boobs). I will be trying it out on a Unoa body so if anyone has one they can toss a MNF head on quickly that would be awesome.....but any other flat chested girls or boy bodies that are smaller and way less manly than MNF would be awesome.

Color match is not a problem, i'm only interested in proportion and "fit". Proportion more than fit. I can mod.

 

Have you considered the Fairyland Moe-line boy body? It's pretty dainty compared to the A-line body.

Unoa > M-Line > A-Line


If you still need a picture of a MNF Head on an Unoa boy body, I can take some for you, but without a neck piece though, since it's a pain to remove :<

 

Well, I'm kind of afraid to spend the money on it and then not like it - I'm one of the few (only) people who just doesn't like the MNF A-Line body >.<
I've owned it several times now and...it's really not for me. I'm afraid if the Moe body behaves in a similar way I'll hate it too.
I do like the way it looks - way more than the A-line. There aren't a lot of MNF boys in the area (other than mine on Dollzone bodies), so I don't think I'll get to see one in person any time soon either.

That neck piece is a pain to remove! And sometimes, to put on! I don't have an extra right now anyway, so it'll just be hooked on with a donut until I get one. Or find another permanent solution.

I have a Doll-Zone 001, a Doll-Zone 002, a Soulkid NL body, and a Soom Little Gem body that I could try my MNF Kyle head on, resin match wouldn't be any good because all the bodies are old or in tan, but I saw somewhere somebody wanted to see LittleGem proportions... All the bodies are male, though(I don't get along with female dolls for some reason XD )
I also have a Souldoll Vito body, but he might be too big for the proportions to work even if the head might fit...

It took me forever (I mean forever), but I managed to wrangle my Juri head onto my Unoa body

It would be hell of a lot easier with a neck part or modding (I just filled the neck with hot glue and had to rig something for the inside of the head. Omg), but I love the proportions. Resin match is about as bad as it can be XD
Not sure I want to keep this a permanent doll, but for now it's great.

Edit: Btw my Unoa is a girl body, and someday I will get pictures of the proportions if anyone is interested.

Doll-Legend does seem to be a good new option; here's my Sarang on the Doll-Legend "Strong" body (using the neck key to connect head and body). I'm glad I took the chance on this one; it suits my boy's character very well!

 

Hello, I was wondering if the Mika/Mir head would work on the Soul Doll Soul Kids N.L Boy Body? Fairyland said that the head circumference for them was smaller than an average MNF head, their head circumference is 17.2cm, so I'm a bit concerned that it might be too small for the body.. However, to me anyway, the Mika/Mir heads looks too big on the Moe-line body. I feel like neck size might be a problem though? If anyone can give me comparison photos that would be great and very much appreciated! Also does anyone one know what skin-tone for Soul Doll would match Fairyland Ns?

 

I went through all pages of this thread and found so many suggestions. I have just received my MiniFee Eliya NS head and now I'm looking for a body. I am not sure when she was made. I don't think she has any yellowing, though. But I'm attaching two photos which hopefully will be helpful.

As I gathered in this thread, MiniFee head should be good on a body from these companies:
Dollzone, Resinsoul Rong body, Bobobie, Souldoll Kid, Serendipity, Angel Region, Peak's Wood, NS Leekeworld M-girl, Doll Leaves, Dreaming Doll Little Elva girl, Withdoll, Dollmore Narsha, Customhouse Little Junior, Little Monica, Unoa, Doll-Legend "Strong", etc?

How well new bodies of these match with newer MiniFee heads? Are the colors close? What about proportions? I am particularly interested in Bobobie and ResinSoul bodies.
Could anyone share their photos or send them in PM? Nude photos would be greatly appreciated.

[MENTION=58619]PerlaNemesis[/MENTION], I can't speak for newer BBB/RS resin, as my dolls from them are all older, but my photo above is Doll Legend with new FL resin, and the match is extremely close, enough that now that I have him fully faceupped and blushed, it's not visible anymore (and was formerly only barely visible). "Sarang" is a newer head, received less than a year ago (from last year's Valentine's event).
