Which bjd can wear Blythe clothes?

Jul 2, 2008

    1. I know about PpoPpo and Larger Moona being able to wear Blythe clothes, but which other bjd can wear Blythe clothes? It is going to influence some of the dolls I buy because I already have a wad of Blythe clothes and am making more all the time. Thanks in advance for any and all info. I am learning so much so quickly on this forum.

    2. I'm pretty sure PukiPuki dolls can wear blythe clothes, I have seen some pictures on Flickr of them.

    3. if it's the size of a barbie or momo or obitsu bobobie has two dolls that can wear them with little to no alteration. march and isabella

    4. No Puki are way smaller, you must have seen them in mini-Blythe clothes

      • x 2
    5. i know from my own research that Cherishdoll tinies can fit into blythe dresses but not pants, and im not shure about shirts

    6. Pukis fit kelly clothes right? Yeah, I think Blythe is kind of big, though I don't know.

      • x 1
    7. yes, they do, they are only around 11cm tall whereas Blythe is much taller and skinner

    8. Got to go with Kaye on that Puki is way too small

      from experience
PpoPpo . my large Moona ...Cherishdoll
      SecretDoll Binu ..I think

ehm .....Pippitan ..but she is way rare so your not likely to rush out and get one of those
...damn I have memory block ..there is a doll from China ...I was talking to one of her owners the other day ..slaps head ...think
      Fantasy Doll ..Something like that
      rushes off to find out
      yes fantasy doll ...http://www.fdoll.com/
I think that doll may be slender enough

and Lati Yellow special fit into some of the Sugar Mag stuff from what I can see

    9. the Baha kitties can wear Blythe dresses

    10. I read somewhere blythe patterns work for puki if you shrink them to 60%. I'm going to try this out today, and I can let you all know how it goes. :)

    11. Bisou ai i think

    12. Bisou Ai is far too chubby for Blythe skirts or trousers, she can wear some of the tops. I wouldn't really call her Blythe-sized though, she's a lot shorter. Also her hands don't always fit well into narrow sleeves.

I believe Dollshe Ru is Blythe-sized, and I think Batchix's Nansook can wear Blythe clothes. Soom mini-gems might be a bit too tall and/or busty, but I would think they could wear some Blythe stuff, or at least Momoko's.

    13. Bisou Ai fit Riley Kish clothes and I have a few Rileys who are far too chubby to fit into Blythe clothes. Little Ann Estelle by Tonner is a similar size to Blythe as mine is wearing a Blythe dress at the moment :)

    14. Bambicronies can fit into some Blythe clothing, but it's a bit of a tight fit... other pieces will not fit at all. I only have 2 Blythes, and one is a Primadolly (they only come with a swimsuit) but both tops from Samedi Marche fit my Bambicrony, from what I recall the pants didn't fit on, and a few things made by individuals for Blythe dolls fit her as well (she also fits some Barbie clothes but not all). I wouldn't say they're Blythe-sized but they would probably fit a fair amount of things that are looser or don't have slim sleeves/pant legs.

    15. Binu has very long legs and a bigger butt. T shirts may fit tightly but skirts and dresses are way too short and pants wont fit.

Moona and ppoppo are perfect sizes

    16. I'm confused because I have an Obitsu girl that is the 21/23 cm doll, who wears Bratz very well, little tight sometimes, but very well. Then I got Sugar mag, and it was WAY to big. Now I'm confused because large Moona is supposed to be able to wear both. I know TB tried Bratz on her Moona, but does Sugar Mag really fit? or is it some of each fit (bigger bratz, smaller Sugar Mag?) Thanks for info. It's confusing, double so because I keep mixing Bratz with Blythe, LOL

    17. Blythe is the doll with the small body and gigantic head (her eyes change color, I love her) and Bratz is the doll with the gigantic lips. LOL

Is Dollshe Ru Still available? I couldn't find her for sale anywhere I looked (Tenshiya, Luts, Iplehouse). The fantasy doll looked very promising, I need to compare measurements. Also the Bobobie dolls Isabella and March might work. Does anyone have these 2 Bobobie dolls and has tried the clothes?

There are so many different kinds of dolls? How do you ever learn it all?:?

    18. The places you mentioned used to have Ru, I think a lot of Dollshe dolls are out of stock everywhere right now.

Also it's OT for DoA but if you like the big-headed look then you might like Hujoo, I think some of them wear Blythe clothes? (Tinybear?)
      http://www.hujoo.kr/shop/step_recom.php

I have to say I'm not usually a fan of Fantasy Doll but one of those nekomimis in Blythe clothes would be awfully cute. And they aren't expensive, and if one already has a Blythe wardrobe.... hmmmmmm.....

    19. Bratz are quite a bit smaller than the average "fashion doll" size, they're both slimmer and shorter. They are, I believe, smaller than the 23cm Obitsu dolls but they're relatively close and can share. Blythe is about the same height in the body but they are not as slim, they especially seem to have a broader chest/shoulders. I don't think I can get Bratz clothing onto a Blythe, but some dolls in between could probably take some items from each doll. Before I got into BJDs I collected Pullips and Blythes, so I know a bit about those types (as an example, type 3 Pullip bodies can wear some Bratz tops and some Blythe clothing, they can also wear Pullip fashions as well as some Barbie, Skipper, and Jenny clothes- even though clothes from those dolls might not all fit one another). Sorry if I'm getting a bit off topic, it's the only example I can think of since I don't have any 1/6 scale tinies. :sweat

That said, Sugar Mag also makes Yo-SD clothing, don't they? Those would be a bit larger than their Blythe items, and would of course drown any doll wearing them. I know some people replace the Blythe stock bodies with the 23cm Obitsu so they should be a similar size, I wouldn't think a Blythe outfit would be THAT loose on a 23cm Obitsu... odd.

    20. I have to say I'm not usually a fan of Fantasy Doll but one of those nekomimis in Blythe clothes would be awfully cute. And they aren't expensive, and if one already has a Blythe wardrobe.... hmmmmmm.....[/quote]

I know Hujoos are off topic and I guess its because they are not made of resin, but I have already been looking at them (and every other doll I see mentioned on these boards LOL).

    21. Gee, now I wonder if I goofed up and got YoSD size??!!! Maybe that's what happened! Darn! LOL

    22. Ingie ... it's a sign... you must need a Yo-SD sized kid? Maybe? ;)

    23. Get a Bambicrony... they can fit some Yo SD, some Blythe... XD

*this is how the addiction spreads....*

    24. Tinybear's LARGE Moona can wear Blythe clothes, but the tiny Moona would be much too small.

Another O/T BJD who wears Blythe clothes is Freespiritz Pixiez Ivy. Mine fits most Blythe clothes perfectly, as long as her hands can fit through the sleeves!

    25. When I had a Mini Gem and a Soul Little, I put each of them in some Blythe clothing, but it was hit-or miss sometimes with the tighter outfits, especially pants. Seconding the "Bambicrony fits but is hit-or-miss/tight" sentiment. I had a Roxy Lucy who wore Blythe and Azone 23cm clothes, but they were a tad large. I've heard that UnoLa, the Elfdoll larger tinies (Hana/Doona/Kathlen), and ToYou fit Blythe, but I haven't owned them to vouch for sure.

Here is a link of ToYou compared to some other dolls.

I've also heard that Roonodoll fits Blythe clothes- one of the reasons she's on my wishlist! ;)

Any word on Roxy Pandora? She looks curvy, but isn't she a little smaller in scale?

Also, I think Kaye is sculpting an 8" tiny.

    26. I had a Roona doll ...again it was hit and miss
yes your right too 133princess ...the Elfdoll Hana /Doona also fit a lot of the Blythe gear ...legs are a little short ..I go for the cropped leggings and they are like full length jeans
or just cut off the legs of the jeans

    27. Yes, Dollshe Ru can wear at least some of the Blythe clothing. I don't have one myself but know someone who did and she used Blythe stuff for her.

      LM

    28. LOL "wad"! The only one I know of is Lati Yellow with the SP body. I think they can wear Blythe shirts as dresses and I've heard some of the shoes too, as long as theyre wide enough.

    29. Thanks for all the replies. I now want so many dolls that its kinda scary, in a good way.:aeyepop:

    30. Roxydoll Pandora can wear Blythe clothes. She's more petite than Uyoo, but she's too big for Bratz clothes.

    31. I guess it depends on what style of clothes you have. Bisou Ai can wear stuff like singlets or stretchy shirts, dresses with loose waists or some skirts with elastic bands if they're particularly stretchy. But her waist is too big for anything fitted, her hands can't fit through narrow sleeves and she can't wear trousers, socks or shoes meant for Blythe. Also knee-length on Blythe is ankle-length on Bisou Ai, it can look really cute but it's a different effect.

I wouldn't recommend her as a Blythe-sized doll, but if you buy one and have a bunch of Blythe clothes, chances are you'd have something she could wear.

    32. *doublepost*

    33. I don't really have anything new to add, just to confirm that Lati Yellow Sp. & Bambicronys both fit blythe clothes. My tiny boys all wear blythe clothes and shoes ^___^

The Lati Yellow Sp. can wear any of the tshirts, tops/shirts and even the Blythe coats. The shirts fit them pretty well in the body and even long sleeves tend to fit them fine although sometimes their hands are a bit big for the arms holes. Cutting tiny slits - or even snipping the ends of the sleeves off - fixes that easily. Also, the larger blythe shoes fit them - all the 'big head' (?) oversized canvas shoes and also most of the larger boots, just not the slip on 1/6th size canvas shoes.

I've found that Niri, my Bambicrony Gun, doesn't always fit blythe clothes. T-shirts and tops fit ok, but they tend to fit more tightly and there's more trouble with getting the hands through the sleeves. They also fit into blythe shorts/shorter trousers and probably skirts (I haven't tried with Niri as he's a boy -_-;;) as long as they aren't too fitted around the hips and legs.

    34. Some Blythe shirts fit my Coco (Lati Yellow renewal) like little dresses. :p

    35. I'm counting on that. I have a sugar mag top for Blythe that I am holding back to be a sweet little dress for coco when she gets here

    36. I thought I'd bump this thread. We can now add DD-ANNE's new 23 cm girls to the list, she says they fit some Blythe clothes, I'll let you know when mine arrives.

    37. I have a Fantasy Doll Amber and he can wear a t shirt that I got from sugarmag doll.

I am getting 2 Custom house Bisou Ais so I will let everyone know if it fits :)

    38. Here's a Bisou Ai that I used to have, in Pullip Prunella's stock:

The skirt was knee-length on Prunella and floor-length on the CH, but it didn't really fit in the waist. The singlet was a good fit though. Pullip is slightly larger than Blythe, but often they can share clothes.

    39. I have an Elfdoll Hana and can confirm she fits Blythe...I also have an Orientdoll Joong that fits Blythe clothes too...they share with my PpoPpo.

    40. Tinybear's Large Moona and Gardenof Dolls' PoPo were pretty much designed Blythe size specifically for the purpose of making them easier to dress and Moona's legs are slender enough to fit Blythe stockings and socks too!!!
The only things you have to watch with a lot of BJDs is the hands...most have much larger hands in than Blythe so short sleeves or stretchy sleeves are the ones to go for.

Kaye Wiggs' Sage can also fit into slightly looser and stretchier Blythe outfits (Plus she fits most Barbie clothing too!!). Her legs and feet however are too wide to squeeze into anything other than extremely stretchy Blythe stockings.

    41. Yeah...some things though PpoPpo's thighs are a killer :D She's got curves...my Moona was too spindly for my tastes.

Hana and Wol fit the stockings too...PpoPpo fits the stretchy ones but her foot size might be an issue (3.5cm vs 2.2 on Hana and 2.5 Wol)

    42. thnx to everyone who contributed to this thread, it's been a God-send :D

    43. bump, I'm wondering if any new dolls fit Blythe clothes!

    44. I find that sweaters and cardigans for Blythe fit the Doona size Elf dolls perfectly even the sleeve length.

    45. Leggings and skirts fit them too...pants are too long but fit okay

    46. Blythe clothes are too tight for the (new body) Soom Mini Gems. A looser dress may fit, but they won't be able to pose well.

    47. A problem for me is that Blythe hands are smaller than bjd's so the Blythe clothing sleeves are never wide enough for the bjd hands.

    48. I have a Dollndoll Sugar who sometimes wear some Blythe clothes, especially dresses that are a bit loose. Shirts are ok as well though long sleeves are too short of course.

    49. Hi I'd like to bump up this thread. Maybe there are some new BJDs who can wear Blythe clothes? There are so many wonderful handmade clothes for her out there.

    50. Mask Cat 21 cm dolls fit Blythe clothes almost perfectly, as well as being wonderful dolls. Their arms and legs are shorter, and the waist is a tiny bit bigger, but even shoes fit, except for the plastic ones.

    51. Someone in another forum said that the now-discontinued Sugarble Sugarsleek line can wear Pullip and Blythe clothes, which is one of the reasons I bought them- but, as mine haven't arrived yet, I cannot yet confirm this.

    52. Thank you so much for the info! I didn't realize Maskcats could wear Blythe. I have mine up for sale and may change my mind now.
I hadn't heard of the bb flocklings before- they are amazing.
I've heard about Sugarble, what a shame they stopped that size.

    53. RealFee can wear Blythe dresses :-)

    54. Lucy & Lisa by artist Ana Salvador fits Blythe clothes and Blythe shoes perfectly. The dolls are on-topic here on Doa, but sold out on the artists site. They do pop up on eBay 2nd hand once in a while :3 Resin ball jointed dolls by Ana Salvador

    55. MerryDollRound's Mousse can fit Blythe/Azone Pure Neemo M clothes and shoes almost perfectly!

    56. She's great fun wilkies, I almost bought her instead of Muffin. I do have a Realfee so I'll have to see what works. I'm so happy to find such an interesting quirky girl that comes with everything at that price. Too bad we won't be seeing them on DOA.

    57. HeartStrung Ruse wears most Blythe clothes! She is taller than Blythe, with a slightly narrower torso and wider hips, but anything that isn't super-short or fitted on Blythe works really well.

    58. I also own a Ana Salvador's doll (Lisa sculpt), she fits Blythe clothes perfectly! Also Jerryberry dolls look adorable wearing Blythe clothes :chibi

    59. Leekeworld Chloe, Daisy, Little Sunny, and Mini with B type art body can wear some Blythe tops especially short-sleeved t-shirts. They can also wear Blythe dresses that have full skirts as tops with shorts or leggings. <3
