Shopping Where to find Rings for SD?

    1. Hello! I am looking for basic silver band rings with some sort of design/print for my 1/3 boys. I've had several ring makers over the years, but they all seem to have gone out of business. I would also be interested in ideas for materials if you know something I could use to make them. I've bought a few flat wires to attempt it, but they've all been too thick/wide.

    2. Maybe you cut some paper or card stock and than cover with aluminum foil. Or paint it to look like metal. And than glue some beads or rhinestone

    3. I recall when I first learned about these dolls, people used sterling silver ear cuffs, meant for humans for the larger sized dolls. I always eyed the ones with skulls, and sometimes ponder if I should get some even today, but I never done so. For a birthday present, one of my friends got me a sterling silver ring for my Volks Dollfie Dream, from a lady in Hawaii who used to sell BJD jewelry. She only wore it a few times, because I was scared of losing it, as I am clumsy as the dickens with tiny, miniscule items. I feel that's part of what keeps me from purchasing more rings for my dolls, I know I'll lose them or accidentally drop them while taking photos, and that's good money wasted right there.

      I also had some rings sculpted for my largest BJD male doll out of Aves Apoxie, and wire. They are now lost into the bowls of my closet, nowhere to be found, along with that ring I mentioned above (I didn't lose the ring for being clumsy, but because I am a hoarder!). T___T;;

    4. Theres lots of rings on Taobao. Though if you live outside of China or Taiwan the shipping process can be kind of annoying. (don't know if your up for that) But Legendoll is reselling a few items by sellers I've bought from(though at a huge markup:() .

      I have tried ear cuffs, but most of the time, they are too thick/wide for my dolls' fingers. I think they would be better for 70cm and up. If I could see them in person, I'd be able to tell better, but nobody near me sells that, that I know of, sadly!

      I really do like those a lot, but being listed as SD/70 makes me think they might be a bit big for my boys' hands. I have a Luts Muse, MYOU and Angel of Dream who need them, and I think maybe the AoD is the only one with hands big enough to work. And the Muse has fused fingers, so it has to fit on pinky or thumb. :sigh

    6. Hey, if you don't mind shopping on Taobao, here is a shop specializing on doll rings.
      They go from smaller dolls like OB to large dolls

      SD diamond rings (They also have rings without diamonds)

      I brought a lot of their accessories and they are great!
      There are also some other shops on Taobao that make rings, but this one is my favourite :D

    7. thank you so much! These are pretty much exactly what I was looking for! Now I just need to figure out how to buy them. It’s probably been close to a decade since I used TaoBao.

    11. It’s all really nice too. I have a few pieces that are easily 10 years old (and older) and they are still gorgeous.
