Well there are always leekeworld Group orders The shipping from Leekeworld is split up with everyone and then you just have to pay for the shipping to you from the person running the group order, that can save you a little bit of money and you get the exact wig you like.
Also, try Denver Doll Emporium. I know that they sell Leekewold wigs and their shipping isn't bad, you just have to see if they carry the ones you want.

i recently ordered 2 dollfies, MSD sized, one from Luts, and one from Blue Fairy

so i'm looking for a bright vibrant purple, red, or blue wigs

and the only colors close are pale blue and violet, too light! D:

any suggestion of websites to get wigs from.

im also planning on getting a msd from luts. i want a dark blue or purple dred wig (but straight works too) and i have been looking everywhere with no luck. =[

you chose the actual wig you want and you get to pick the color! they have vibrant blue purple and red so i think you will like it.

if i get my wig from this website i think ill get two "sad love song" wigs and do both blue and purple. but im also considering getting a white wig and dying it the way i want.

btw wich luts kid delf did you order? i think its neat how we both want vibrant purple or blue hair, and we both will some day have a luts kid. im going to get an ani or cherry girl someday

Generally, unless you use wig dye, you are NOT going to get a good result attempting to dye a doll wig. Human hair dyes and fabric dyes won't stick to the synthetic fibres. Just FYI.

Me, I'm an Acquire fangirl. You have to catch the preorder period (being on the mailing list helps) and it takes a few months to arrive, but oh so beautiful and in the color/s you choose.

Denver Doll Emporium has an assortment of wigs from leeke and dollzone and others. I have purchased from them multiple times. Both dolls and wigs. They have speedy shipping and excellent customer service skills. I highly recommend them.

I would NOT recommend bjdollarama. VERY poor customer service. I waited over 2 weeks for a wig order. I had to email and finally got an I was at emergency room twice and I am behind excuse. Then the wigs were so small it was impossible to get them on. I ordered according to what they listed for dolls the wigs would fit and some of the dolls yes I am sure they would but not all. they said for dolls with heads SMALLER than 4 inches. naripon (3inch),elfdoll tiny(3.25 inch), banji (3 inch), roxydoll yam(3.5inch), orientdoll so.(3.93 inch) I looked up head sizes before I ordered. The head size discrepency led me to believe they were stretchy. I ordered to fit 2 dolls with 3.66 inch heads and fro a 3.93 head. I have returned the wigs and I emailed twice. I am getting no reply from them. They only reply to emails if they feel like it.

 

oh sorry you had so many problems, I only order from them once and it was for a purple clover doll and a wig for her and i didn't have any problems..

 

Monique sells really vibrantly colored wigs in lots of sizes, I think they have MSD size too. So you might want to try them

 

I've ordered from Acquire before and I don't recommend them at all.

I ordered two wigs for my MSD and the blue one was too big, and the placement of the hair was off. The black one was cut incredibly bad. If they've changed or TRAINED the person making the wigs so they've improved, I'd order from them again. :/

One of my dolls wears only bright, colorful wigs, and I've ordered from a variety of places... so I'll post my personal review of the different types. I know most of them have been mentioned in this thread already, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

My all-time favorites are Jpopdolls and Can-can.

Jpopdolls tends to rotate their colors off and on, so it's good to check back with them. They'll stock a new color mix and sell wigs in that color for a while, then discontinue it. I love their wig fiber, which is very similar to (maybe the same as?) Monique's Gold Label wigs. It's very soft and fine.

Cancan wigs are just wonderful. They are beautifully made out of a smooth fiber that has a nice weight and feel to it, and the colors are beautiful. I absolutely love their wigs.

Monique also makes a few colorful wigs, like their Gold Label "Faith" style, and the regular collection "Pinky" and "Trix" styles. I have owned all three, and the colors are so bright! Especially their hot pink... it's a vivid fuschia-pink that really stands out.

I also love the Dollheart wigs which are sometimes available in special colors... but those special colors tend to be sold as limited pre-orders (you can also pre-order Dollheart wigs through Jpopdolls and Featherfall sometimes). Their wigs are really well-made.

Parabox sells a lot of colored wigs, but their fiber is a bit coarse and can be prone to tangling (mostly the wavy/curly wigs, straight ones are usually fine). However, they have some colors and styles I've had trouble finding elsewhere.

I've also bought Acquire wigs, and I've had mixed experiences. Sometimes the wig fibers are attached a little strangely, causing the hair to stick up in weird places. But they are a bargain price and the colors are very bright.

I've been ogling ForMyDoll wigs, but I haven't had the chance to buy any of them yet. Dollmore also sells some lovely colors, but I haven't ordered any wigs from them yet either.

I really like Leeke. Their wigs are very well made and I like the fiber quality a lot. Generally it is best to order a lot from them or to order with a group to get the free shipping. They also tend to do pre-orders, which take about a month, but wigs in stock tend to ship very fast.

I also have liked:

Volks (Good if you're looking for more natural colors, they are a bit more expensive than some though)
Luts (though they sort of lack in color selection, but I like the one wig I bought made from them)

I bought one LaTi wig in Tiny size and I love it. I don't know what their larger size wigs are like. Their shipping can also be sort of high.

 

I second the suggestion of Jpopdolls. One bonus to the Jpop wigs is that they usually have a very stretchy elastic band, so there's a bit more wiggle room in which sizes will fit.

I also really like Cancan. Jpop and Cancan are my first two "go-to" places for wigs.

Other good wigs include Dollheart; though their wigs tend to rotate out of stock quickly, they are great quality.

Dollga's wigs are really nice, available through pre-order at Leekeworld. They will have pre-order periods every couple months, with the available styles changing each pre-order.

And like rkold said, Volks wigs are a very nice quality, worth the expense if they have the style you're looking for. Their "SD" wigs are on the larger side though (9-10), so if your doll has an 8-9 head make sure to look in their "Dollfie Dream" wigs instead (those are 8-9).

Last but not least, once you reach 40 posts and have access to the marketplace... if you run across any KStarr wigs, they are wonderful. The company is no longer making wigs, so you'd have to get one secondhand, but they are worth it! KStarr made custom-to-order wigs, so you can sometimes find some unique styles and colors, too!

If you are in the US and are in love with LeekeWorld wigs, Denver Doll Emporium has a few (along with other brands). I like to use them because it cuts out international shipping costs, and from my experience the wigs arrive pretty quickly.

If you like mohair wigs, tiny bear is the best and can do amazing custom colors.

I'm looking for a place to get relatively inexpensive smooth wigs. I was looking at the wigs by luts and I really like some of them... but I'm not sure I want to spend $20 for s & h on top of the $20 for the wig itself. I'm not looking for cheap wigs, but $40 is a little excessive imo. Especially since I wanna buy eyes too and it doesn't seem like luts combined the shipping. Any suggestions? As a note, I'm looking for 9-10 inch wigs. (It would be so much easier if it was 8-9 inch, but... alas, no.) I also want it to be a long wig. (That might be part of the problem)

Just an idea, are you sure you want 9/10? I have a B&G doll and he's actually an 8/9, even though the site said 9/10. Have you measured him?

 

Group orders are your friends. There's usually a Luts GO going on at some point or another, and it slices the shipping waaaaay down.

Kon'D (konlin here on DoA) sells some rather nice fiber wigs at a good price, and IIRC their shipping is pretty reasonable as well.

Does anyone know which other co. makes the same type of wigs as rosenlied and leeke? I have tried some companies and was fairly disappointed so the type of fibre I really like is on par with rosenlied and leeke.

I have seen people get wigs that look really nice quality.. the wigs need to be for males and if they have two colored wigs like black n red or black n blue or white and blue something like that .. it would be much appreciated if ppl could post nice wig sites with some punky jpopy styles.

well mohair seems to be a bit frizzy looking and that is not the look I am really looking for.

 

I second Leeke and nDoll, they have really great heat resistant fibre in their wigs. I also like wigs from CanCan (they have some great crazy colour mixes), Iplehouse, Soom, and LUTS. I have a purple wig from Volks with a bit of a punk feel to it. Spite & Malice makes my favourite fur wigs.

It doesn't hurt to look at clothing companies like Tata's Paradise, 4D, Dollheart etc., because they put out some pretty wild wigs sometimes.

Generally speaking the wig companies will re-stock unless the wig was limited (clothing companies like Dollheart and Tata's are unlikely to restock from what I can tell, though). Or you could search for those specific wigs in the MP if you have access.

Leekworld and Monique both make really nice wigs. :> Leeke's are usually nice and densely-woven and they're quite silky. Monique's wigs are all in lovely colors and they're soft, rather like real hair.

 

I really like Leekeworld, Monique, and Volks. Denver Doll Emporium carries a decent selection of Leeke wigs as well as some Monique (though not as many as I would like). The nice thing about the long Monique wig I have is that it never gets snarled up -- it's such an easy care wig. Leeke has a great selection of styles and colors, and I really like the texture of Volks wigs.
