Where did it all go to

I have not visited recently, work presures and I can no longer find anything on the forum. Perhaps because of my luker status? So an introduction and therefore a post. By day I hide in the guise of an accountant but at night I dabble in doll construction. I started making copies of antique french dolls in a type of composition (actually a light weight wood filler) then with the internet I discovered Japanese ball joint dolls and my fate was sealed. Over the years I've tried and failed attempting sculpture in various mediums but recently I have started and stopped a number of sculpts in a nice non hairy airdrying clay and am finally seeing an improvement in my efforts, learning from the mistakes and preconceptions of what shape we humans are. I tend to lean towards sizes bigger than the standard doll sizes and the only dolls I have bought from Japan are bigger but it makes them easier to photograph in the real world as they are more in scale, plus that whole depth of focus problem with closeups of tiny dolls. But really they all appeal. With the sad end of the doll making part of DOA I hope this forum still exists and its only my status that makes it look like its all gone.
