What's the meaning of my dream about my doll?

I'm not an "expert," but dreams are really personal. What does your doll symbolize to you? Creativity? Expression? Your individuality? Your free time for hobbies? Do friends/family disapprove of your hobby? It could be feeling that your literal doll being looked down upon, or it could be you feeling like your personal expression is being grabbed away from you.

Or, you may have just seen a horror film with imagery or themes that turned up in your dreams. You kept your doll safe, so that's the important part, that you feel confident you can defend whatever it symbolizes!

 

Maybe it's your free time that you feel is being snatched away? Or, maybe you're lonely for more companionship?

LOL! Doll collecting is not really considered "norm" in ANY community. ;o) The people that collect are kind of beyond worrying about other people thinking they're "cool."

 

Dreams don't always have meaning. I have lots of apocalyptic dreams but that doesn't mean that something really bad is happening. Usually dreams are to process your previous day. I think many dreams that are vivid and have a story can be a really good plot for a story you can write, or a roleplay if you're into that. Maybe they do bring your worries to light, so perhaps making a mindmap of your feelings with this dream can help you understand it better. I think it's a pretty heroic dream that you saved your doll.

 

Haven't seen any monster movies since I was a kid but saw the trailer for King Kong vs Godzilla last week and the next night Godzilla was in my dream! Don't remember what happened but distinctly remember asking whoever I was with "why is Godzilla in Indiana"

 

LOL!! Sometimes the detritus from our day will turn up in our dreams. That’s just data processing. I think the important thing is to figure out what that doll symbolizes to you. The dream sounds like it was really reassuring though that you are feeling competent to defend whatever that is from whatever you feel is threatening it.

There are some archetypes in dreams, and you can buy a dream dictionary to learn that. Or, hell, just Google it. But, I don’t think that’s always helpful because a dream dictionary may tell you a doll “means” or represents something, but it means something entirely different to someone who collects dolls or owns dolls than it would to just the general public. The doll means or represents something very personal to you. It was threatened and you successfully defended it!

 

I'm not an expert, but maybe your dream is trying to tell you that you're worried about your doll getting stolen or damaged because if those hands from the portal snatched your doll you can't go get your doll from the portal if the mysterious hands closed the portal and cuts you off from your doll.
