What was Your first Doll?

Hi YumiCupcakes&Dolly I've moved this thread to General Discussion. Remember that the Newbieland part of DoA is for newbies to ask questions and more experienced members of DoA to answer them! New members of DoA won't be able to contribute to the threads other newbies start in Newbieland.

 

I am waiting on my first dolls. I actually bought two of them at the same time, a FL PKF PongPong and a FL PP Flora. ^_^ I have had their wigs and clothes for over a month now, so I'm very anxious for them to get home!

 

My first doll was (and I still own him!) a CP Delf El sold by Luts.

 

Even though I'm no longer a newbie...

My first doll was an Angel of Dream Chi. I still own him and love him to pieces.

 

My first doll was Musedoll tanned ReChe, it's pretty fortunate that I loved him from the start because it was a lot of money for a beginner ; n ; I'd never sell him, but I do sometimes wonder why I didn't pick a smaller, cheaper doll to get started with...I struggle even now to handle him (five years on), hence swapping to MSDs and such. I am a little envious of how easily others seem to handle their dolls.

Even though I'm not really a newbie, my first doll I paid for was a Dollzone Floy that was a preorder. Amusingly, the first doll to arrive at my doorstep was a Doll-Leaves Noir that I bought through Junkyspot.

my first doll, who i am currently waiting for is the pluto doll archibald! i am so excited.

 

I'm a newbie here, but not entirely new to dolls. ^^ My first was a Pukifee Zoe!

 

My first doll, and still my favorite, is my DOD Zen. He's been almost 8 years with me and until I die!

 

My first doll was an Iplehouse JID Soa. I went with a smaller doll because I wasn't sure I could handle an SD and space was an issue. Now, I find myself wanting an SD. I really couldn't wait to feel resin for the first time either. It's was very satisfactory having my girl in my hands. I still can't describe how it feels. It is awesome. I love the feel of resin.

 

I always struggle with this question since I kinda just jumped into this hobby, but :
My first acutal bjd is the Hujoo Mimi, named Amy, the first resin bjd I ordered, Minifee Shiwoo and chloe, ordered at the same time, but before they arrived I bought a realpuki pupu who was in stock, so he was the first actual resin bjd I had, but not first I ordered.

So, I don't really know who qualifies as my first doll, but I still have and love all these guys ^w^

 

My first and still favorite little boy was a Resinsoul Ming. I got him for my birthday last year, and may I say I don't regret owning him even for a second. He's easily my most perfect doll, but hey, I'm uber biased towards him. Like, any doll I even consider getting is compared to what I've done with him. Even if I got out of this hobby, I could never sell Zarek.

 

My first doll was a Dollzone Edward. I'm still very proud of him and he'll always be my favourite.

 

My first doll was Athena, my Dollzone Annie. She's currently my only full doll, but I plan on getting her some friends really soon! She's really special to me and is one of my OCs for my story.

 

my first, and so far only doll, is a fairyland littlefee shiwoo I'm the third owner of him, he is hardly used though. It is not my preferred type of doll but I still love him since he was a present from my friends :'D

I ordered two dolls right around the same time way back in 2005 - first was a Dollshe Hound from Tensiya's first order, and a week later I ordered a Dreaming El from Luts. My El showed up first though, just a week before my Hound arrived. They were both great dolls, though I no longer own either of them. I definitely remember being surprised at the size of them when I got them though, as I'd never seen a bjd in person before! Knowing what 60cm & 70cm measure to and seeing it in doll form for the first time were two totally different things. XD

 

My Doll in Mind Flowne (elf) is my first doll. I found her while browsing on ebay and fell in love. At the time I was still young so I had to work my butt off doing yard work to get my parents to help me pay for her. (Too young for a credit card and for a job.) She had a owner before me. I don't remember the details, but at the time I felt like it was a good deal... haha! Still happy years later about my purchase.

 

My first doll was a Lati Yellow Bloodymoon Limited Vampire Lea. I bought her off of eBay because I was too impatient to wait for my other boy to arrive(I had just ordered him). I was so happy to find her for such a good price, until she arrived and I realized it was because she was heavily yellowed!! I sold her when my boy arrived because she looked horrible next to his brand new resin. It was a good experience for me to get a feel for a BJD and the texture of resin, and I do miss her sometimes.

My first BJD was a felix Brownie doll =)

 

My first one, Ceylon, is still with me and will be the last one to go, if things ever come to that! Ceylon is a DreamingDoll Kelly sculpt.

 

'Not a newbie here, either, but my first were a pair of twins... A standard CP/Delf Shiwoo and his Dreaming counterpart.

Harumatsu and Tien Jen are still with me. They'll have been here seven years in January.

 

My first doll, a DC Bella, was actually not my first choice. I spent weeks trying to pick the right size and mold for my first doll, but remained indecisive. I actually really wanted a DollZone Rosemary, but I was afraid that the long production time would make me fall out of love with her. I saw that DDE had DC Bellas in stock that could ship out right away, so I took the plunge because she looked a little like Rosemary. Now she has been with me for about 6 months, and I absolutly love her to death. There is no way I could ever give her up ^.^

 

A Dollzone Ray; he was the perfect sculpt for my Silas! H was out of production though, but I was lucky to find a pristine one for sale used. I love him so much, even if he doooes still need a body!

 

my first doll was Blue Fairy TF Kyle, I ordered him with the outfit, wig and make up as I was scared I will never make any clothes. Soon he will be 6 years old and I still have him.

 

My first doll was a Volks MSD Myu in June of 2007. I still have her (Actually, she's sitting next to me). I'm really glad she was my first doll, too, because Volks sells her in a kit. I strung her and did her faceup myself. Years later, I redid her faceup and covered her body with freckles. Honestly, I don't know that I would have had the courage to do the faceup on my own if I hadn't started with her without one. She's grown as i have and is the pillar of my doll family.

 

My first BJD was a Felix Brownie doll

 

My first doll was a Soom Idealian 51 (Danube, the blue eyed lover).
He is a normal skin. Soom's normal skin looks great, plus I ordered him with body blushing and that really gives the resin a extra realistic look. I still love this doll. Here's some pictures of him:

My first and currently only doll is Luna,a Nabiyette from Garden of Dolls. I am currently saving for a friend for her. I was thinking about making a dollhouse and miniatures so I wanted a doll that was 1:12 scale or close to it. I scoured the internet and found her. I thought her online pics were cute and that she should do for my intentions. Though once actually got her in my hands I fell in love. Pictures just don't do any of these dolls justice. They are so more beautiful up close and in person. I just couldn't set her down for the 1st 48 hours. I still just love staring at her

 

My first doll was a LUTS CP MOON Thought he was just so manly at the time.

 

I just got into the hobby last year, but my first doll was Volks SD13 Kazuya Kujo. I guess the chubby cheeks did me in.

 

My first BJDs were Resinsoul Mei, Song and Ju, I ordered all of them at the same time. What makes resin so different and nice to handle in my opinion is that it's rather heavy, much different from other dolls or action figures.

 

My first doll was a BBB Isabella. Sometimes I still find it hard to believe that at this time last year I was just getting into the hobby and wanting a doll of my very own.

 

My first doll was an AE (Asleep Eidolon) Blueberry. My father bought her for me, but I didn't really bond with her. I ended up selling her, and am happy to say she is still with her new family :] She may not have been right for me, but at least she found her home.

 

My first doll is a Dollshe DS18M Old Bernard *drools* I'm so excited for him to get here, I placed the order in October so he should hopefully be here in the next two months.

 

My first was Damian (a Doll-love Brian). I fell for him at first sight and i'm still crazy about him. It's all his fault that I have spent a small fortune on bjds

My first doll is Island Amber. She is a girl with adorable big eyes! However I missed the sleeping version T.T (crossing fingers)

 

My first doll was a Dz Hid....I ordered him around the same time he became available. I don't see myself ever getting rid of him.

 

My first doll was a Fairyland MNF Ryeon and I still have her! She was one of my dream sculpts when I first found out about the hobby and I'm so lucky to say that my dream doll was my first doll

 

My first was an Angel of Dream Meng Li in normal-yellow, whom I still have and doubt I could ever sell. That was back in june/july so I'm still fairly new to all of this. Surprisingly though I already have six dolls and am putting another on layaway Friday lol.

 

My first doll was an Abio Angel Ling I bought on impulse when I saw him. I still have him and I could NEVER sell him. I had been debating getting a doll for a long while, but could never find the money. I got him and I was hooked! ^^

 

My first two are Latidoll Yellow Benny and Green Senny. I ordered them at the same time, and even though they've arrived, I still haven't opened them! Trying to hold off till xmas. ^-^

 

My first doll (to be in my hands) was unexpected. This year (2012) I ordered my REAL FIRST doll in July and she was being shipped to me in September. However, 2 days before her arrival, I went to a doll fair and happened to win a doll lotto. So my (supposedly) first doll was beaten to the arrival.

So I practically have 2 "first" dolls.

My first doll is Chi (Doll-Zone Mo). I fell in love with him. Too bad my friends reaction was that I only bought him because he was cheap....

 

The first doll I fell in love with was Volks SwD Lucas. The first doll I bought was IH Soo Ri. I sold my Soo Ri about a year later, bought a SwD Lucas and have learned to never ignore that gut feeling again .
