What is Eximbay and is it legit?

Dec 29, 2008

    1. Eximbay is the payment service that Fairyland uses. I think they are "in stock" on that site so that when you purchased the item through Fairyland it was easier for them to send you an invoice to pay with it. I think all of Fairyland's products are on that site for that purpose.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing any of their products there but at the official Fairyland site as some of the items are probably out of stock, such as the Puki Poseidon fullset.

    2. I've seen on this website that they had many Puki Piki Strider in stock.

Do you think it's possible or is it just the website which has not been updated??
Puki Striders are out of stock from fairyland since many times, it's surprising :o

    3. i would not take a chance, as i don't think Eximbay is a store. it is a payment service like Paygate, but i have encountered problems trying to purchase directly from Fairyland using Eximbay, it would not accept my CC, and i had to resort to using Paypal.

    4. Yeah, I found eximbay while searching for the famous puki mermaids. I want the little Lorely so badly, but I didn't know if eximbay could be trusted or not... anyone know for sure?

    5. Honestly, i'd ask Fairyland themselves. I've never heard of eximbay being a store of sorts in itself, i only knew that it was the payment service that Fairyland uses.

      On the puki mermaids...i'd say no, though, since they were a limited run and stopped selling in august of 08 ^^;

    6. I asked Fairyland and they replied very confused. They said that they were going to figure that out right away. That the puki mermaid and other things that are sold out at Fairyland should not be available from another website.

Darn... got my hopes up too. I guess I'll just have to keep looking on the marketplace for my sold out dreams...

    7. Has anyone tried to get a refund from Fairyland through Eximbay?

I just used the service this week to order a MNF, but after reading information in the MNF thread about the long delays, I cancelled the order.
The next day I got a message from Fairyland on their CS board, that the order was indeed cancelled and that money was to be refunded the same day. I checked in yesterday on Eximbay and under transactions it too does say 'refund'.

As it has not turned up in my UK bank account yet, I'm just wondering whether I need to give it more time or will the money just sit there in Eximbay? I hope not as I only used them to order from Fairlyand, I don't want to use them for anything else.

      Any info greatly appreciated! :)

    8. Any refund into a bank/credit card through a third party company will take 3-5 business days to process by your bank. (Just like any other account transfer to an account in a different bank)
It may actually take longer than this because Eximbay is an international company and depending on your banks rules they may withhold payment to make sure it is genuine for up to business 10 days.
A good rule of thumb though is 3 business days, and if it doesn't turn up by then ring your bank and see what is going on.

~These times come from my bank in aussie land, your own may be different but all information will be in the terms and conditions you sighted when you applied for your account.~

    9. Ayuen - Thanks for the info and you were right! :) I received a reply from Eximbay just this morning, saying it may take up to ten working days to show up with my bank. It's a long time to wait, but I feel better about the transaction with Eximbay now.
