Asides from "official" (if that is the right word) obitsu clothes what else can they wear? They have really similar bodies to cu-poches so that is my first though. My second thought was Barbie Chelsea, like the little sister seems to be on a similar scale to obitsus but their proportions also seem different. I've also seen a video of someone put sylvanian family clothes on their obitsuroids (the fit was a bit iffy but it did work), there must be other possibilities I am not thinking of so please let me know! What other companies provide 1/12 dolls and items??? I'm also aware there are plenty of cute clothing for them on etsy but I can't seem to us the right buzzwords? If anybody has a specific store they like feel free to plug it.
I know the Kelly clothes just fit, they are a little tight. At least the Elvis jumpsuit I have is. I’m glad there are more clothing options now as I’ve had to sew my own, and not very well. Boy outfits are a lot harder to find too. Same with yosd, lol.
Best search words I found to find clothing for them is "ob11". There's a lot on Taobao under this tag. And there's a doll called a Pang-Ju thats clothing fits. My Obitsu11 body wears an outfit by them and it also has a modified Pang-Ju head.
Pukipuki is a very similar size. Lati White is slightly smaller, but might be able to share some clothes. Hope that helps a little!
I found a clone Kelly doll with a bunch of clothes at a discount store, Big Lots in the USA, and all the 11-12cm on and off topic tiny dolls fit those. Older Kelly doll stuff when she had more of a toddler body are easier to fit.
Older Kelly doll stuff from the early 2000's fit, shoes you definitely want 2000's Kelly shoes. Earlier is too tiny. The holiday line Kelly clothes fit pretty nicely. Halloween stuff too.
Following the Kelly route I found a bunch of nice clothing both on amazon and ebay. My options are a little limited because I plan on making a male custom doll but Tommy dolls do provide some variety. A lot of the Kelly/Tommy listings are either over priced or have £10+ shipping rip. At least etsy also has some options and the shipping isn't too crazy.
I checked it out, the clothes look really polished, like level of design and detail look really nice! Not to mention the dolls themselves actually look pretty cute. I'll check it out, thanks! I know most yosd dolls are larger than obitsu 11s but I wonder if there are others they can share clothing with. I'm definitely interested! I've seen patterns for sale on etsy, but that's about it.
@Dofuuhua I recently ordered the Obitsu 11 pattern book. It will take a couple weeks to arrive, as it’s coming from Japan. A whole book of boy fashion, which is awesome! I think I’m going to attempt to make everything in the book, just to practice. Finally, my boys will have something to wear!
Aah! When you do feel free to link it back to this thread or @ me! I'd love to see what the book has in store, how easy it is to replicate the patterns and see the final result!
@Dofuuhua I sure will! Some of the patterns look intimidating, like the parkas and such, but if the instructions are step by step and easy to understand, it should be do able, I think.
