What fits an Iplehouse SID Woman?

Jul 27, 2010

1. I tried a 7/8 Crobi on my Carina, but it didn't fit at all, so I'm going to assume that the 8/9 is the better choice!

2. Thanks Lyzrd, always wondered about that.

They do fit ok, SharinganBlossom91 a little tight when sitting but it's possible if she's not wearing underwear.

3. I just received Olivia (SID RS Zera). We had a photoshoot today and she was able to wear a variety of SD sized clothing:

This is a SD sized skirt and tube top that I purchased on the marketplace a while ago.

This is a SD sized stretchy black top fit was perfect and the leggings were a bit short - so the high boots cover that up fine. Sorry about the quality of the photos; just trying to show some examples

4. May I ask if someone knows if the awesome Moulin Rouge nYID lingerie fit SID girls?
I'm going to order Stella...so I need to know that. ;)

5. Oh yes, that would be good to know!

6. Very nice this is the type of doll and to be able to pose to take pics

7. nice suit , dam this hobby is gonna cost

8. I'm able to answer the question now! Iplehouse told me that the Moulin Rouge nYID outfit
doesn't fit SID girls.

9. Dang it. Was so hoping it would.

10. Me too...I love the design! >__<

11. There is an SID stella on flickr that is wearing the nYID Moulin Rouge set and it fits wonderfully. Makes me wonder what else may fit.

12. Freedom Teller has posted women's shoes in the SID section. While not awe inspiring it is a beginning; now about that handbag in the background...

13. Oh Em, that's adorable. :D

I'd probably go brown or light grey, but admittedly I'm preferential to versatile, neutral tones.

14. Yeah, I'm leaning towards brown myself ;)

However, I was wondering more about whether I should choose the SD16 or Senior Delf size? Has anyone ordered from Sadol before? Which sizing would be a safer bet? I'm leaning towards SD16 based on the measurements I've seen.

15. I don't know about Senior Delf measurements, but I definitely wouldn't go SD16... that's what I buy for my Limhwa girl because of her narrow waist and there's no way my Soo would fit into any of her stuff.

I love my Soo, but she has to be one of the hardest dolls to dress that I've owned.

16. Hmmm...I was hoping because the clothing is stretchy and not fitted that it might work. Damn...haha!

17. I know that's not what you'd like to hear, but... well, to put it into perspective: SD16 girls have like a 17cm waist while our SID girls are 19.6cm according to Iplehouse, never mind their wider hips and thighs, broader shoulders, etc. Granted, these are all things I appreciate about the SID body, but it does make her harder to dress compared to more stylized dolls.

If it helps any, SD13 clothing can be a bit more forgiving from my experiences.

18. Oh well, it's better to know, than fork out money for something that won't work!

Thanks for the advice ChristinasDream :)

19. Wanting to bump this up again. So, where are you guys getting clothes for your SID?

20. Sunny's Wonderful World 1/3 girls outfit.

21. Recently got several pairs of shoes off of eBay! (eBay seller named separately just in case links get broken/go missing/etc)

I bought these shoes in black and white from yiyuanrong_crystalyi, and they fit pretty well! It took a wee bit of a squeeze to get her high-heeled feet in at first, but after taking them off and on a couple times, the feet slip in nicely.
Pic of the high-heel feet in the black:
DSC02062 by bestbadger42, on Flickr

I also bought these blue sneakers from mimiwoo. I REALLY had to work in my girl's flat feet, since the width was almost exactly the same as her feet and there was no zipper in the back to help get her feet in. It was quite a struggle, but they did get in. Can't say I really like the overall look of the shoe on her, since they're a little big length-wise. But, they don't look so bad in photos:

Picture of the shoe on one foot and barefooted for the other:

While I haven't uploaded any pictures yet, these white boots from mybayer2008 fit like a dream (too bad they're currently sold out in that store)! There's a zipper that goes all the way down to the sole, so my girl's feet can just slip right in. There's even enough room so I could fit her white skinny jeans in them! They're the best.

I have a pair of brown flat-foot boots from coolcat-coolcat that should be here by April. I'll add those to this post when they come in.

22. I have two EID dresses for my small-bust SID girl, and they fit fine. A little loose, so I think an SID large bust would be an even better fit.

(I've been eying that dress, too! It's so pretty)

23. All of the following shoes are modeled on my SID Mari, but they should all also fit EID & nYID. Many of these I've already tried on my EID Asa and they fit fine.

When putting any of these heels on, I try to insert the foot at an angle and then wiggle it around to be straight (sorry that I don't know how to explain it better). The foot will never fit if you insert it straight on.

Also, a little tip; I use a clean paddlepop stick (not sure what they are called elsewhere) as a shoehorn when the heel of the shoe starts to scrunch down and be uncooperative. This works great for squeezing stubborn shoes on. I also use them for holding the elastic when changing hands and feet. You can get unused ones from craft stores or dollar shops.

Hope some of you find this post helpful~;)

Tata's Leopard heels - needed a bit of shoe-horning but got them on ok. Easy to take off too. I think they also come in grey leopard print.

Tata's Maduro Heel - Pretty much a perfect fit imo. They come in a few other colours too.

Tata's Red Dance Heels - Toes don't show that much out of the peep toe, but otherwise a perfect fit.

Tata's Basa Heels - These are made from fabric, so they need a bit of sliding to get them up the heel properly, otherwise they scrunch down. A perfect fit aside from that.

Tata's Mibi boot - A super tight squeeze. It took more than two minutes to get the first one on so I couldn't even be bothered with the second one. But I'm posting it anyway since other people may be more patient than me. This style is also available in black, gray and burgundy.

Luts SGS-17 For Senior Delf Girl - These were a real squeeze, but I got them on and she could stand in them in the end. The tongue sits a little weirdly because of the size of the SID arch. I would only recommend these if you are looking for this particular style of shoe and you're prepared to struggle a bit putting them on and taking them off. If worn enough I'm sure they will stretch in time too.

Luts SGS-36 - Tiny bit of squeezing involved with these but they go on fairly ok. They might look a little off scale-wise, depending on the look you are going for. But hey, they fit so that's worth something.

Nine9 Style (SD13) Bootee Boots - I was surprised at how easily these went on - looking at them I thought there was no chance! A bit of skin shows through at the front because they're stretched a bit, but that's the only real issue.

Nine9 Style (SD13) Flat shoes (with removable clips) - Another surprise with these. They do not fit SID flat feet at all, but the heel feet can wriggle in comfortably and although it doesn't look as elegant a stance as she might achieve with the flat feet she can stand in these just fine. Not sure if it would be possible to have the clips on while wearing them. They also come in black, grey and pink.

Sunny's World 1/3 Shoes X002 - Another perfect fit, IMO. These are a great cheap pair that can work with a lot of looks. They come in black too. The rose on the strap is not removable.

Sunny's World 1/3 Shoes SUN64 - Another perfect fit. They slide on and off easily. Wish the toe would show more, but this seems to be the same with most open toe doll shoes. These also come in pink&white and red&white

24. Mier, thanks a lot for posting that, really!
Paddlepop stick = p
opsicle stick = tongue depresser (lol)

25. Thank you so much for posting this Mier, i've been looking at Tata's shoes for a little while now.

26. Thank for the comments guys!

I forgot to say, about Tata's shoes, the following styles definitely do not fit:

- Yasi
- Ice
- Hone
- Princess.S
- Nayi, Nini, Nora

When I have time I'm also planning to go through the rest of my shoes collection because I know I missed some that fit, and also do the same with my clothes. I love these big girls but I definitely feel everyone's pain trying to get nice things for them.

27. I swap clothes back and forth between my EID and SID girls all the time -- the only issue is non-stretch SID stuff, which can be too tight (although I've squeezed my EID girls into a few things regardless!)

Some pics here -- I've tried to list the outfit components in the photo captions, but please feel free to ask if you are curious about a particular item!

P.S. Now eyeballing Tata's Paradise shoes. D'oh!

28. [IMG]

After reading this INCREDIBLY useful thread (and a couple of others) on here, I decided to take a chance and try these SD16 heels (which I'd bought when I briefly owned an SD16), because I don't have any other dolls who can wear them and they're too pretty to go to waste!!

Note: SID/EID feet are wider than SD16, so you may stretch the shoes out a little (which might make them harder to share back and forth with an SD16), and not all SD16 shoes fit SIDs/EIDs -- but a lot of them do!

The angle of the arch of her foot is a little bit different, which was my main issue. I had to be careful, since the heels are resin, and there's a little tongue of resin that comes up the back of the foot, which I was afraid of snapping off.

I wound up just slowly and painstakingly easing her foot into the shoe, wiggling back and forth a little to stretch the straps, one little bit at a time. One of the shoes was harder to get on than the other (probably a microscopic bit shorter in the toe straps), so the foot didn't want to sit flat in the shoe -- but patient wiggling, and pulling the ankle strap tight, eventually did the job.

Thankfully, taking a risk paid off -- these are a perfect fit, they look AMAZING, and she is STANDING in them unassisted . . . and she kept falling over yesterday despite wearing *IpleHouse* heels . . . and yet, even on a windy day (as you can see by her hair and cardigan whipping around), she stood like a rock!!

(I know that the angle of the calf looks like she's leaning, but she's a couple of inches away from the bush behind her, and she didn't budge even in gusts of wind!)

SO MUCH WIN!!! (And now she needs more shoes, LOL!)

-- A :kitty2

P.S. More pics on my Flickr, including the shoes from various angles!

P.P.S. Apologies to anyone who reads this twice -- cross-posting to a couple of EID/SID threads so that the info is available!

P.P.P.S. D'oh!! I'd had the brand in the caption on Flickr, and forgot to copy it over! They're from rRabit shop: http://rrabit.com/rrabitstore/rrabitshop/

29. Ashbet: Those shoes are amazing!!!!!!!!

30. Thank you!! :D

31. Mier, thank you for the inspiration to check out Tata's Paradise, and the heads-up about which styles definitely *don't* work -- I bought a number of pairs, and they all fit!!

I made a reference post with the different styles of SD16-sized shoes from Tata's Paradise -- since I can only post one photo here, check the link to see the styles I tried on my SID/EID high-heeled feet:

32. where is this link to What fits an Iplehouse SID Woman?

33. Can SID girls wear nYID girls clothes? :)

34. yes and no... if you mean specificly Iplehouse cloths they are marked like on this page the first two swimsuits can be shared. http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/list.php?ca_id=601050&nhn1=en

they will be labled like this: SID/nYID .... or nYID/SID there are the odd item that will also fit all three girls including EID...

35. Can they wear Dollmore 8-9 wigs?

36. 8-9 refers to inches if your doll head is in that range then it should... tht being said... I bought a wig from Iple that was the correct size by the numbers but some head sculpts are a bit small and some larger but technically in the 8-9 size range...

some wigs fit large some fit small... and some stretch after use... measure your dolls head to see the exact size if you want but a SID is listed as an 8-9 fit. I have a doll with an 8.4 inch head and depending on what company wig I put on it fits differently. a thicker elastic band can help in taking up room in a wig that is slightly loose. I use a silicon heel grip on my JID to make her Iplehouse wig fit. The thickness makes her head just a bit bigger to handle the loose fit.

That being said I have heard leeke for one tends to fit small.... I don't know how Dollmore fits but the 8-9 would be the size to get.

37. beautiful clothes, I love it

38. Very specifically, I mean the Sally set.
http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1572036665&nhn1=en
I've been planning an Iple girl for almost a year now, stuck on a small bust SID, and I just feel this set would be perfect for her!
But if there is no chance it will fit, I'll have to reconsider my plans.

39. I just checked the doll figure stats and no... won't fit... it's a 'fitted' outfit and the SID hips are too big. Also I don't thing the length of the back would work either (outfit would be too short by a bit?) I know what you mean about the outfit... I adore it too... but I 'will' have a YID girl... just not sure when lol.

40. Hi everyone! I wonder if anyone know about some flat boots that would fit a SID girl - nothing extravagant, the best option would be something similar as these:
[IMG] [IMG]

I searched for some, but haven't any luck... Though I am not long in the hobby, so I don't know a lot of sources ;-)
Anyone?

41. Hmmmm -- honestly, I think that your best bet would be to go handmade, or to find boots for 60cm boys. (I think SOOM has a pair that remind me a bit of your 2nd pair.)

Flat boots are a scarce commodity in the doll world!! Check Leekeworld and Dollmore, but look up the width and length of the EID/SID *flat* foot (heeled foot is different), and compare it to your measurements.

(Also, maybe look up the foot size of nYID boys, to see if it's not too much bigger?)

Good luck -- and if you find something great, please share! There are a lot of choices that fit HH feet, but not much for flat feet for these girls.

-- A <3

42. Thank you Ashbet! Yeah, it is really a problem to find some nice flat shoes and boots. I wouldn't mind a little bigger, right now my girls are in sneakers which are also a little bigger, though it is probably better because they can take socks ;-)
Some time ago I suggested to Iplehouse to produce some flat shoes in similar style of the second picture - "I will deliver your idea to our designers" was the (usual) answer and since then only silence... But who knows? Maybe one day ;-)

Sure, if I find something interesting, I will put it here :-)

43. the NEW YID boy boots do NOT fit... some of the 'old' boot/shoes do... I already asked Iple this.... look at the yid boy shoes ... open any you like and if they will fit the EID woman it actually say so ^^

example... this pair would fit the EIDSID woman.. http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1320362815&nhn1=en

but the newest ones made for the new yids won't

44. Thanks, Lady Tiku, it's good to know! Although I am not very impressed by the designs (or, better, my girls are not impressed :D)

45. I don't have time to hunt down the foot measurements right now, but would these work for flat boots? They come in black and brown.

http://www.dollmansion.net/products.asp?id=1362

They might be a little bit long, but it's a somewhat pointed style, so I don't think they'd be disproportionate.

There's also a version whose interior measurement is 9.0 cm: http://www.dollmansion.net/products.asp?id=1363

-- A <3

ETA: There are also these styles, which are more like the casual boots you linked, and the inner length is listed as 9cm for some and 9.5cm for the others, so probably closer to a perfect fit:

46. Ashbet, thank you so so much for the tips! :aheartbea I'll check it all out!

47. There's a discussion going on in the What Fits EID Women thread that may be relevant to those of you who have EID/SID/nYID women -- there's a vendor who makes really gorgeous SD16 shoes, and is willing to try making some for an IpleHouse foot last (they have an IpleHouse doll as one of their clothing models), but their minimum order is 100 pairs (in up to 5 colors) . . . so I'm curious whether you guys like any of the styles that they offer.

Some of us are willing to set up a group order, if we can get all or most of the spots filled, but first I'd need to know what style people liked best. (Not soliciting business/etc., this is a "trying to figure out what the community is looking for, shoes-wise" question -- if/when it gets to the point of running an actual GO, I'll put it in the appropriate MP section. This is just a feeler, because I'm not a mind-reader about shoe styles.)

Might be a chance to get some shoes for IH ladies in some more delicate/feminine/mature styles! (And it sounded like the vendor might be willing to start carrying IH size more regularly if they could be sure that they would sell.)

-- A <3

48. According to Iple, SID male foot is 8.5 cm long, while SID ladies have 7.5 cm feet... So there would be a 1cm gap, unfortunately.
If you want, you can also look at Iple EID and nYID shoes, these three sizes have same feet lenght. Happy hunting! :-)

49. If you can find OLD YID boy shoes (and they have to be the old YID size) those can sometimes fit . Not all styles fit well.

50. I've just had a look at the ebay page http://tinyurl.com/k4jv79q and those shoes are so pretty. I've been toying with the idea of getting an EID woman (Doria or Carina - I'm unsure), so definitely count me in!

51. Can anyone let me know what the underbust chest measurement is for an SID woman please?

52. Hi! Sorry to be coming to this thread so late, but I am also wondering about wigs. I'm new to this hobby and just purchased my first bjd last week - an Iplehouse Stella. Even though it will be a while before she arrives, I've already started to scout around for wigs, clothing, etc. Have to say I was not expecting it to be such a challenge. So glad that I found out that the Dollmore wigs fit on the big side and that I might be better off to go with a size 7-8.

Just wondering about the Monique wigs for bjds. Has anyone ordered from this company? I really like some of the styles they carry.

P.S. I am so glad that I have joined Den of Angels. Already I have learned so much just from reading this thread!

53. I come with some more notes on footwear and such.

Beachgirl Nikita's EID underwear, stockings, and bikinis - Fit!
Dollmore headbands for Model F size - Fit!
Volks MSD wigs - Fit! (Grace seems to have one of the smaller heads)
Vofoo shorts - Fit, won't stay snapped when sitting
Pink Fantasy 1/3 tights - Fit! (like a glove! EID size are too long in the leg)
Dollheart pumps with no straps over the foot - Fit!

Here's a useful pic for those last two:
Pic without stockings
Those are Pink Fantasy tights in those Dollheart shoes. As others have said, one shoe is much harder to get on than the other, which comes down to either a slight sanding or stitching error. Nothing a bit of sandpaper can't fix if it becomes bothersome. These were the only kind of foot coverings I could get into these shoes. Any other socks or stockings I had for her were too thick. The Pink Fantasy tights are thin much like some tights I have for me are.

Hope this is helpful! I'll take a pic of any of the above things if anyone might like me to!

54. This thread is so informative I've been searching for clothes for my sid girl.
