What fits an IpleHouse EID woman?

Nov 19, 2009

    1. I'm willing to try and help with the shipping when we get to that point even though I've not done anything for a GO before as long as someone tells me what to do :) I do have lots of practice packing and mailing and live in the middle of the US so that may help, and being on disability gives me time, but I will need instructions.

    2. I like those pumps too. I ordered them in the nude pale orange shade for my other girls. I also wouldn't mind them without the bow in regular 'leather' or 'suede'. That maybe an option actually. Having part of production with trim, with bow and part without. If this is a style that many of us like I can ask him that. Although that is a bow I think is very nice, I'm not much on bows generally.
There are 5 more shoe styles posted
      http://www.flickr.com/groups/2513968@N23/

    3. That's a good option -- having the with/without trim doesn't require making a new last or a new design, and it might mean that people would be interested in getting multiple pairs. I definitely would!

And thanks, Bajib, we'll keep that in mind!

      -- A :)

    4. I joined the group and will tell a few friends here too that love these dolls!

      Lyanne :)

    5. Those round toe pumps are to die for!! I'd be willing to get three pairs (well depending on the price)

    6. I too would be interested in ordering some shoes for my EID women. I especially love SunnySailor's suggested riding boots, wedge sandals and sexy sandals. I also would love some pionty toe pump options.

I'm following here here as well as the Flickr group.

    7. I am IN LOVE with those round-toe pumps! Would probably get them in 2-3 colours. XD Also those snakeskin ones!

    8. If anyone knows how we can take a poll or make a list to have a commitment from those of us who want in on this order please speak up.
So far if you go by favorites the pointed pumps with the bows have 25 and the closest to that is 2. So that is an indication of preference.
But it's not very scientific or in a form where we can organize it. Unless there's a way to track down all those who favorited those shoes.
That's a possible order of 3 pair or 3 colors per person makes 75 and if we bump it up to 4 colors each person then our order is 100 pairs. Each of us would be responsible for $100 to $136 for 4 pair.
NOW to decide on colors and 'leather' finish. I'm sure we can do snakeskin or leopard and plain leather and/or patent leather.
And as Ashbet says it's possible we could ask for some of the shoes to have no bows.
I also like the round toed ones, but then maybe if this is successful we can go for another.
Honestly that's not a bad deal I've spent soooo much money trying to find shoes for these big footed Iplehouse girls. I have 3 non Iple girls who have a fab shoe wardrobe:-(
I LOVE Iplehouse, but their shoes are dorky old lady goes to a tea party. The men's shoes are not much better they are also clunky.

    9. Lilsgirl, I've created a poll on LiveJournal, and it SHOULD be set up so that anyone can vote.

      http://ashbet.livejournal.com/2414436.html

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do (and I posted a link on the Flickr group discussions for you.)

      Cheers!

      -- A :D

    10. Sorry for stupid question, but do you need to set up a new account for livejournal to vote? I am failing to figure out the voting process.....

    11. I had to Join Live Journal to do the poll, which is fine. You can sign in with other logins like Facebook, Google, Twitter etc. I always have trouble with Google and I don't do the others.
      I just voted.
      Thank you Ashbet it's great!

    12. Bajib, were you able to get it sorted out?

(Sorry that it's a little confusing if you don't have an account already -- it was just the easiest way to run a poll that I could think of, since we wouldn't be able to do any polls that have to do with sales on DoA, not wanting to risk any outside-the-MP issues. Right now, we're just figuring out which style people are most interested in, and there will be a group order post in the MP, if/when we come to an agreement with Sweetiiger.)

    13. Thanks for the help - I think I did it right this time.

    14. I also voted too, can't wait for the results.

    15. I just voted and added a comment. I haven't been checking DOA regularly lately so hopefully if this is a go, I'll get a big nudge because I am definitely in for the pair I want.

    16. I haven't been keeping up with the EID, SID discussion thread. Has this been mentioned? It's probably an overlapping group, but?

    17. please tell tell me who are these clothes are by I have EID and SID Dolls but little to no clothes for them please these are lovely and would love to have them or sow, thing similar:)

    18. the links go directly to the item in their store... it's Dollmore stuff. But do not assume any of their stuff fits! only some items... these ones in particular have been tried on the EID medium bust (that was the pictures themselves proving fit). When it comes to Dollmore only buy what someone here has said will fit ;p unless you want to risk your money?

    19. He he love again, I'm glad you mention this because my girls are all Glamorous and large Breast girls, so should I assume it's a no go for Dollmore fitting glamorous and large busted girls. Barbie was Sooo much easier to figure out...lol

    20. That would be a definite yes.... Dollmore will NOT fit your girls ;-; As for the pink princess... she is just as bad... you are too young to have the original sizes.... I have a complete cross-section of those twits >< Mattel messed with giving that girl body mods so often and only make the teeny t**ty junk now... so my 80's girls don't get new stuff :( .

    21. I use to collect Sooo many different dolls but haven't seen anything like Iplehouse it's a new breed to me nothing like it, in my eyes. Realistically anatomically beautifully done but only downfall is to search and locating reasonable clothes to fit. :( but I do still collect monster high just had to add that...lol

    22. Shoe news. I just got the pointed toe with the bow from Sweetiiger and they are great! BUT because they don't have a platform they will be like the snake ones. The girls will not be able to stand. The arch is to high for the Iplehouse dolls the shoes will have to have a platform. So if we are proceeding with the order I think the round toed shoe with the platform would work best.
BTW the pointed ones do not fit the Iples.

      Shoe news
I just got the pointed toe shoes with the bow. They are gorgeous in the nude color. They don't fit the Iple girls, surprise! I think the heel wold have to be shorter to have the girls stand (more kitten or mid high) or choose the round toed style because they have a platform. The high heels don't work without a platform to compensate for the low arch of their feet.

    23. Part of what we'd be buying is a retooled shoe last, though -- the Iple-sized shoes would be angled so that they work with the Iple arch and ankles, so Sweetiiger would adjust the shape of the shoe accordingly.

I got the Hell Queen shoes in the mail -- they do fit (snugly but well), but standing may be dubious -- haven't had a spotter to try it with yet. They're stunning, though!

    24. For flats oats ive notice my girls EID & SID fitting American Girl shoes for those flat down dress days..., thanks I will try tho because it's a bugger finding presentable reseasonble clothing and shoes for these guys..lol

    25. omg it's like she dug in my old shoe hoard for some of them LOL. I love it...

    26. sorry, look like i can't say anything about my stuff here,so please contact me in the old way.today i got a massege that my post all be deleted,i am studing how to use DoA.

    27. The mods may have thought you were trying to sell outside the Marketplace (you need to be on the forum for a while and make a certain number of posts before you can sell on here), so take some time to read the rules, so that your posts don't get deleted.

Welcome to the board, it's nice to have you here! :)

And, as you can see, we love your shoes!! :D

      -- Andi <3

    28. THANK YOU SO MUCH ! I am doing on it~;)

    29. welcome back... I had wondered if getting the Dealer/Rep thing would work ^^. The boards (general ones) do not allow ppl to promote businesses. There is a place for that though ^^.But I tend to stay away from boards that "introduce" new things for me to spend money one ;) I do fine doing that just by going directly to Iplehouse >< lol.

oh and jennspeaks ... EID = 7.5; YID =7.8 you might want to stuff the toe to add stability. I would look for something heavy myself (lead washer wrapped in cloth) to give a bit of weight to the toe also.

    30.
    31. I really love Crobidoll wigs and wanna buy one for my Luna, but they dont have 8-9 size wigs :(( ... I just wonder can I buy 9-10 Crobidoll wigs for Luna and put in on her with silicone cap? Or I should buy 7-8 size wigs? :(

    32. Crobidoll wigs run small, so I do not recommend a 7-8. You are safer with a 9-10, but I cannot vouch for how well it can sit on your doll's head.

    33. idea/tip for helping with 'too big' wigs... I use a silicon(?) gel heel liner/grip (I use one on my JID) The thickness of the heel grips pad takes up some of the extra room and also acts as the grip like a wig cap... If you are not sure what I mean I can post pics. it's been most of a year and the 'sticky' is wearing out but there is no noticeable residue or anything left on the dolls head yet ^^ I can upend my girl and her wig will actually stay on. ^^

    34. Oh, please do share photos! I am always so sad that some wigs I want to buy can never fit Iple heads well.

    35. Another trick that works is buying some light-colored rubber bracelets (the type that tend to be sold by charities -- this is also an opportunity to support good causes!) and using them as wig stoppers -- they're just the right size to fit an Iple head (without elf/vampire ears -- I prefer natural-rubber-colored wide rubber bands for those, sometimes 2 of them layered, because they're more flexible and can curve neatly behind the pointy ears), and they work well to make a slightly-too-big wig stay in place :)

    36. Random find!
My new Jessica (old EID body Lbust) fits into a this shirt from Alice's Collection (I originally bought it for a DD06). It sits at her hips but the sleeves are a little short. They can be buttoned up and will sit just above the wrist but won't slide up the arm when buttoned. I've rolled the cuffs to get a three quarter sleeve look. At least she won't be completely naked till Grace arrives with more clothes

    37. long time no see ~

    38. I did post a link to the item on AC in the thread. I don't have a picture of her in it. I'm working early shift so my lighting is crappy right now. I'll see about getting one on my next day off (Thursday)

    39. I read somewhere on one of the EID/SID sites that the American Girl flats would fit their feet. I asked a dealer that carries the AG shoes to try one on her own Jessica and she says they are too wide. If anyone has info on this I would like to hear it. Thanks so much.

    40. Definitely count me in!!!

    41. Cheerydoll makes clothes for EID women. I know someone has ordered from them, but haven't heard that much about it... nor seen any photos of outfits on an EID... Quite possibly because they are rather pricey???

I'm very tempted to order something, though. I need to stop spending on other doll stuff for a while to save up some money, though! (which is hard!)

      Cheerydoll site:
      http://www.cheerydoll.com/dollenglish/main.htm

    42. Wow, I haven't thought about Cheerydoll in years! They've been around since I joined the doll hobby, if I recall, but I didn't know they were still around :)

I really love this outfit, but I'd want it in red/black/silver (or possibly red/black/gold, although my pickiness prefers the metallic colors to match, so my taste would be either that the silver studs/collar should be gold, or the trim should be silver.)

Sadly, blue doesn't work for any of my characters -- I wonder, given the price and the fact that they say it's handmade, if they'd consider a materials substitution? Hmmm . . .

      Thanks for sharing the link!

      -- A :aheartbea

    43. I know. I'd last checked out Cheerydoll ages ago when they only had 60cm gowns and various sizes of casual wear... But someone, somewhere mentioned that they had EID sizes. I am SO tempted! But, agh! So expensive... But worth it, I'm sure. I've seen some of their old 60cm gowns and they were just exquisite!!!

Yeah, too bad there aren't more color combos for those Pirate-woman outfits! I wonder if they will swap out fabrics??? I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask... but I suspect they might not.

The brown and black version is pretty nice. And the different pieces would be good to wear separately...

But I'm looking more at the Black and silver Victorian-ish ballgown, and the sort of Elizabethan-ish gowns... Definitely don't see so many outfits in that period (or somewhat close to it... Cheerydoll isn't that historically accurate, but they make up for it in tons of trims and details).

    44. Did a quick search of the thread and couldn't find this info (doesn't mean it isn't there, just means I suck at searching).

Does anyone know if YID boys' clothes will fit over the medium EID woman's bust? The chest measurements are close(ish) and the boys' clothes don't seem to be very tight...

    45. I'd even be willing to do the first outfit in brown/black -- I like the cut of the first jacket better than the second, and I'm not into booty shorts for my dolls. Maybe if it's in materials they're already using for a similar set, they'd be willing? *fingers crossed*

Not that I have the money right at this moment, but it's at least something to consider! ^_^

I really adore the gowns . . . don't know if I have the right doll(s) to wear them (I only have one non-vampire EID, the rest are SIDs), but I *want to own them* . . . they're just exquisite.

Well, something to save for, if we can ever stop getting hammered by medical bills!!

      -- A :)

P.S. Kollos, sorry, no medium-bust girls in my crew -- maybe try the All Iplehouse Larger Dolls thread, which tends to be more active?

    46. Thanks, Ashbet. I'll head over there now. :)

    47. After seeing the YID Traveller set I hope so! - http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1593461315&nhn1=en

Anyway, this item http://www.ebay.com/itm/360344637370?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT 06# Black Vest/T-shirt/Outfit 1/3 SD17 DZ70 BJD Dollfie will fit an EID woman

    48. Bust size is not the problem it's how wide it would be across the shoulders... so no... also if an item will fit (for example) both the nYID & SID/EID-W it will say so. LIke this item:

      http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1593461344&nhn1=en

otherwise don't buy it unless you see it at least in other owner pictures.

    49. So I'm trying to find a pair of black leather (shiny) stilettos for my incoming EID girl.
I've looked through the various shoe suggestions listed in the OP, but I can't really find anything that is close enough and can be modified to meet my needs or dead on.
Any one know of any shoes that will fit and EID woman that look like this:
      http://mirrored-reliquary.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/3303760765_263d9bb64a_o.jpg

They don't need the red under sole, I can paint that on my self. its more the shape, height, color of upper parts and heel dimensions I'm looking for.

Gotta have those shiny louboutin to go with her latex catsuit. :XD:

    50. you can't change the angle of the foot (toes to heel)... doll feet do not bend like human ones... and that will restrict you from the 'true stiletto' shape lines...the best is the platform toed shoe with super high heel ... it's a compromise.... you EID girls could not stand otherwise O_o

    51. I'm more looking for the thickness of the heel when it comes to the shape/height, or rather lack of thickness. most of the pumps/heels I've seen have been on the chunky Mary Jane style heel end rather than stiletto end, sorry about not making that part clear.

I know I can't go super thin because yes, she'd be unable to stand.

I'm after sole wise something like these, but in a traditional pump/high heel upper sole style (like the louboutin) I've seen things that were close, but the wrong color.
these would be perfect but they are straps.
      http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1574629190&nhn1=en
and the heel on these are too thick
      http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1320363313&nhn1=en

As you said though I might have to compromise.

    52. lol a cat suit with mary jane's... set a new trend! LOL but only if they have a bow detail!

anyhow... one of IH's issues (well not for them really) is that compared to similar sized dolls they weigh a ton >< and that alone dictates how some things have to be designed... sure tall skiny dolls that don't weigh anything can get away with super high heels... the dolls have no substance (weight wise) so the shoes can be equally light weight... not so much for IH's big girls -_-. I'd love to see much more 'delicate' looking shoes myself but you can only get so much 'delicacy' and still be stable :sigh so yup... compromise. I am waiting for the boots they showed with the 'Black Athena' set.... omg those I have to have ><

    53. Ah I knew they were heavy but I didnt know how much of a factor it would be. these will be my first BJds.
and yes I saw those too! they'd be perfect for that I want (trying to make shin guarded stiletto boots) I didnt know if they'd fit the EID though.

    54. EID's, SIDs and nYID's all wear the same size now... so if you see an nYID or SID fashion with shoes you like and IH has them stocked they fit... those particular boots I saw with the Luna Tamer set... but not in regular sale ><

    55. Try FreedomTeller. They have a few SID women shoes (that will fit EID women) with a thinner heel. Not as thin as your example, and they only come in a few designs, but they're still more graceful than most doll shoes.
