What does it mean when you are tarcking something and it says: Departure from outward office of exchange? I live in the U.S so the item is coming from overseas.
I remember getting that message when tracking packages sent from Asia. If I'm not mistaken, this means your package has left the last office it's supposed to go through before going on board the airplane. In the next tracking update, it should be marked as being loaded onto the airplane and on route to your country (it usually takes one or two more days for the status to be updated in the tracking system). Hope that helped!
Thanks you very much and it did help alot. I guess I am a little nervous since it was last updated April 26th. Then again I have ordered locally and the tracking did not update until it was on the doorstep >< Thanks again XD
Yes, as Scyllua says it means that your package is about to board a plane. Sometimes it takes some time before the next message appears, either because they don't scan the package at a stop, or because it takes a while to board the plane. Tracking usually goes like this: Posting -> Outward office of exchange -> Handed over to Air Carrier -> Arrival at inward office of exchange (=customs) -> Departure from inward office of exchange (in the US you won't have to pay fees, but they still inspect packages) -> Arrival at delivery office (your PO) -> Delivery Good luck for your package^^
