I haven't posted anything in years but found myself missing the hobby and my dolls. So let's start with my dear "Shirou". He was actually supposed to move out already. But his mold used to be the one, that got me into dolls and getting him was an incredibly happy moment back then. Looking at him after that much time made me fall in love all over again. So here he is: excuse this low quality (made with phone) one - I somehow wanted to include it anyway: hope you like them
Ahhh he's super lovely! Even after all these years, I still think the CP EL is one of the most beautiful sculpt there is!!
Welcome back! There is nothing like seeing these nostalgic sculpts. I love him, thank you for sharing!
Thanks a lot! It brought good memories to make photos of him again and if I can share nostalgic moments this way, then it was certainly worth to show them!
That's true! I was a bit surprised myself for keeping him that long in a box but then again.. there must be a reason why I never sold him, but quite a few other dolls (that I don't miss at all).
@Kyo_ZetsU He's looking great! I love his hairstyle and outfit! Somehow it remembers me of a visual kei rocker single photo shooting. And I really like this kind of thing.
I know there was a time when some people felt there was an El overkill... but a bjd world without him is... possible but pointless imho!^^ I love how you fell in love with yours again. Thanks for sharing, so many owners of older dolls never think to share their lovelies anymore (me included), and that's a shame.
He's gorgeous~ My first doll was an El because I absolutely fell in love with his face. I had him for two or three years before even getting him a face up, and when he came back with his new face I fell in love all over again.
Thank you! I'm really glad it happened. I fully agree! Thank you! It's wonderful that there's still so much love for him! Thanks a lot! Maybe that's the reason for his knowing smirk. Thank you so much! Well... that's not a coincidence . When I got him I was quite fond of VK and still like it. Therefore I see no reason to fully change the style of my characters, even if it might be considered a bit "old fashioned" now.
Thank you!! That's true! He sure doesn't fit to my other dolls but I couldn't care less at the moment. Exactly! For the longest time, I felt like there's no point in showing him. But I also never really got annoyed whith the sculpt and had this feeling, that I would regret giving him away at some point. Turns out, it was the right decision to keep and show him and I'd fully encourage you to do the same, whenever you feel like it! Thanks a lot! Oh, that's great! A new face up can be quite the game changer indeed and I feel like, the El sculpt has this huge potential to be expressive in many different ways.
@Kyo_ZetsU Well, then I'm very old fashioned, too. Because I can't let go of Japan's beautiful V-Kei style.
Oh! He's gorgeous! So many feels for this classic sculpt! I remember a time when everyone on this forum seemed to have an El. He truly is an important part of BJD history. I loved reading your story about falling in love with him again. Made me feel very nostalgic to see older sculpts again. Those were good times.
There is a reason he was so popular as a sculpt - and this guy is a perfect example of why. He's so pretty.
I'm so glad to see another El! He's beautiful! Please continue to post more pictures of him, there's never anything quite as special as those older dolls.
Oh...my...gosh! He is gorgeous! El has always been one of my favorites. One day, hopefully, I will have one. Until then I will live vicariously through photos. Enjoy him, he is amazing.
