OT/General Weiju Casting company now offers 3D printing and scanning

Sep 20, 2016

    1. Hi! :)

So, I think I'm posting in the right section...

As you know, Weiju have been casting resin dolls for many different artists and now they also offer 3d services as printing (they print in ABS) and scanning.

The price depends on the doll, how many parts, details, the volume...

And of course a couple of photos of their prints (used with the permission of the artist).

I hope you find this information useful!

    2. Does anyone have any more info on this service. I'm considering contacting Ivy myself but I am very unwell and am afraid of dropping off the face of the earth communication wise and looking unprofessional.

I'd just like to hear some experiences, I've heard great things about Weiju and some not so great in the past.

    3. I've only printed one doll bust using their printing service. (I sent the doll and then realised wanted an extra bust and it was faster to send them a digital version...) The piece fits my doll very well and seems to have all the details in place :)

Maybe you can contact Ivy and explain that it's a long term project, that you're still working on the doll but already looking around for casting/printing companies, so you're asking for a price quote but are not planning on sending the doll right away... so if you don't answer her back it will be because you're working on your doll and not "dropping off the face of the earth"... if you see what I mean.

I would be interested in using their service sometime in the future but I don't have any doll ready to be printed right now, so I have nothing to ask about XD

I remember your dolls... hope you'll get them in resin someday!
