If you haven't read the Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett, starting with The Wee Free Men, you are missing out! They include a bunch of tiny blue warriors known as the Nac Mac Feegle, who are itty bitty sword wielding terrors, cheerfully indestructible, and they can get out of anything- except maybe pubs. I am rather enamored of these books, and I have long wanted a few Feegles of my very own, so here I go, Sculpt # 1, Wee Angus. Material: Sculpey Firm, incredible stuff for people who like polymer clay. For tinies, this is great stuff- it'll hold up to nearly anything but it's easier to carve and sand than Apoxie Sculpt. I've had years of working with Sculpey clays, so this was my first choice for a medium that I don't have to learn as I go. Size: Well, Wee. He'll be a bit less than six inches tall, about 15cm, when I am done, as this is the height according to the books if you are a slightly short Feegle. Head and two part torso so far. American Penny and Euro for scale. Head, views from all sides. He's supposed to be a teeny bit bobble headed. He's going to have a cartoonish but relatively mature face. Head on the chest piece. Chest front. Chest piece back, and the abdomen piece, which is still just rough blocky shapes. And how they fit together. He has good mobility so far side to side, and a certain amount front to back. More to come, of course.
