For all you people who ordered something at Doll square.. Please email the company where the order is placed and notify PayPal. I got a message from Dollchateau that they are worried. Dollsquare placed an order there a while ago but they can't ship it because the are not payed. They tried to contact them but they are on a 'holiday'. Doll Chateau is talking about multiple orders from this dealer who are waiting to be payed and shipped. I'm afraid it's not only the case with dollchateau orders Of course I tried to contact the dealer for many times but never got an answer.
Oh no. Thanks for the warning! Not that its a company I use, but from what I hear, people have been less than impressed.. Hopefully everything turns out okay..
Wat other company are having troubles? There's a post ongoing on facebook...apparently it's bad. Someone tried to get their money back through paypal ...however dollsquare send "proof" to pp that it was a preorder so it was "closed". So it isnt like they arent active ... Dollsquare might actually be trying to run away with people money.
Oh geeze that is NOT cool! I was looking at their dolls for a bit, but I don’t think I’m gonna buy anything from them now....
This has been a known issue for a while now. It seems to have become Dollsqare's modus operandi and occured with various companies they have been dealers for. Please refer to Dollsquare's feedback thread here. It would be a good idea to add your experiences there as well, don't you think? I feel for you!
yes! i had the worst experience with Dollsquare! i know the owner was sick but the business really suffered. poor clients expecting their dolls that they have already paid with their hard-earned money. i contacted MYOU doll to make sure i get my doll and they really helped me a lot in tracking the doll. i eventually got my doll but it took a lot, lot, lot longer than usual. MYOU also cut ties with Dollsquare because of this hocus pocus going on with DS. the reason it was really worst for me was this was supposed to be my very first BJD and i was really patiently waiting for her.
I placed an order with dollsquare in march, and i´m still waiting for it to arrive. I contacted IOS and they told me that my order was send to dollsquare the last month. And that dolllsquare was thinking about closing the store in the future. I don´t want to lose hope that my doll will arrive someday
some doll owners aren't on den of angels... so it's really about getting the word out. I had already started hearing people complain. It's not just one but 5-7 people complaining. it's worrisome. your order is with dollsquare but doll square hasn't send it out to you? if they close... please give the money or dolls back at least. u should open a paypal dispute so that dollsquare will delivery your doll to you...is my opinion. esc since IOS says your order is with dollsquare now.
@MagiaMafia Yeah, IOS sent me tracking number, and dollsquare received my doll on the 24th of last month. I'll contact paypal to see if they can help me fix it. I just want my doll
I don't think I'll ever get the doll i payed for. If you ordered one but are waiting for to arrive it'll be to adviced to contact PayPal or your credit card company.
you need more proof. Get a mail(printscreen from IOS ) saying that they send the doll and all that but you haven recieved it. That way dollsquare can't say that the order is still "pre" and your order hasn't been done yet. That's what they have done to one poor person so far. what happen to you? yea we should raise a post on instagram and facebook... there's one on facebook but not active enough if your waiting... i dunno man. Dollsquare might say it's pre order and pp will close your dispute because of it.( one person tried to dispute and pp closed it because dollsquare said it was pre-order). She cant reopen it so she's basically screwed. however for Trizy case, the doll is already ready and with dollsquare so opening a dispute is best for her... Can't say the same for the others. quote from Sophia Orta-jacobs: told me in a email I was not the only costumer from dollsquare to ask them questions about their order. They also told that they made the dolls but won't ship them until they are payed by DS. They are afraid the customers blame them for orders going wrong. The only thing they know is that the owner of DS went on a short vacation months ago and they did not hear from them since. I did email doll Chateau and git an answer. DS did order months ago but not payed anything yet. I phoned PayPal and they do not open the dispute even with if the answer I've got from Doll Chateau. Beside the discussion if PayPal is right or wrong. DS is the one who did this to me and others and I hope to prevent they do it to others to quote from Matthew Joshua Bond: I emailed DollZone and they said they got the order which they have made. Just waiting for payment but no response from any email sent to DS... They have disappeared into thin air from the looks of it. Doll companies are refusing to send the items because of it
Regarding PayPal, if you check the TOS, you will see that they do not cover preorders that will be longer than 20 days from order to shipment; and these terms must be stated by the seller up front. That does not appear to be the case here, or in most doll preorders. So there is no PayPal protection for the transaction at all here. Its not because it was "still in preorder." However, if you used a credit card to fund the PayPal payment, you can pursue a refund from the credit card company.
The same thing happened with me. When MYOU doll company helped me track my doll, it showed that my doll was already received by Dollsquare and for some reason Dollsquare was NOT posting my doll to me! I had to pester dollsquare everyday with messages until i get my doll even if they never responded to any of them. I finally received my doll a little less than a couple of weeks later. And as soon as i got my doll, i received a very quick-as-lightning email from dollsquare asking me for feedback about my doll purchase! SMH!!!!!!!
My friend had no problem getting refunded by paypal under their buyer protection, and she was just days from the buyer protection expiration date of 6 months after ordering. So it could be worth a try.
A person on Facebook filed a PP claim and DollSquare responded to the claim stating that it was a preorder, and PP closed it, and won’t reopen the case. Still, it’s better to try than do nothing. I would say when you file the claim, show every ounce of evidence you have that they’re no longer being honest.
I already sent dollsquare a few messages, both on Facebook and by email. I think it's a good strategy, I'll send emails every day. I also wrote dollsquare through PP, i hope to receive some response, or at least my doll.
Apparently neither your friend nor Dollsquare told PayPal that it was a preorder. Dollsquare seems to have learned since your friend's case that telling PayPal that it was a preorder will close the case in their favor.
yea they seemed to have learnt that...which is why i don't recommend unless you are sure that dollsquare has your doll with them/
I messaged Crobidoll about a doll I bought through Dollsquare. It seems that Dollsquare made the order in July, but haven't paid Crobidoll either. Next monday (20.11) it will be 180 days since I paid, but I'm scared about opening PayPal dispute. I do have evidence of countless unanswered messages to Dollsquare and the messages from Crobidoll. Crobidoll also advised me to open a PayPal dispute and I would get a refund. But I'm not sure if this evidence is enough. Has anyone tried to open a dispute recently with this kind of situation?
Maybe try calling PayPal and explain the situation before officially opening the dispute, so that you can be sure you have all the evidence PayPal needs.
Unfortunately I live in Finland and don't know if I can call PayPal or not. But I sent them a message through message center. I hope to receive a good answer soon.
I'm sorry to hear about this dealer disappearing into the wind, and I hope she is going to make things right soon. In the meantime has anybody tried to call her at all ? Sometimes hearing a human's voice is harder to ignore than a mail. I know they are not on the website which in itself is odd, but phone number and website owner adress are mandatory info that can be easily found on the DNS/WHOIS registrar of the website. (whose registration expires on december 22 2017, so don't be tardy) It may be worth a try ?
Mandatory, but it's also allowed to register with a proxy (which is how my own domain is registered). Not everyone does this, however: I hope everyone in here can get their items or refunds, this is a terrible situation for everyone involved.
try facebook post on dollsquare now... to gauge...it seems to be getting worst my concern is that they might be sitting on your order on purpose.waiting for you to make that paypal dispute...so they can say it's a pre-order and you ll never see your money again.
I feel like I've already lost my money. There is nothing else I can do than to relay on PayPal and I'm pretty sure I won't get any help there. I paid with debit card, because I don't have a credit card. Crobidoll messaged me, that they have been trying to message Dollsquare without a reply and they are going to dismiss the dealership contract if Dollsquare still won't answer. Unlike DollChateau, Crobidoll didn't start making the doll before getting the payment. So I have been waiting for a nonexistent doll for almost 6 months now. I think I'll go post on Dollsquare's wall now.
I´ve been sending emails to dollsquare all week (to all the emails I have) without reply. I´ve asked paypal, and unfortunately i´ve been told that after 180 days i can´t no longer file a claim. So I encourage those who have order to dollsquare to put a claim. I´m very sad ,cause every day that passes I see more complicated to receive my doll....
PayPal opened a dispute for me. I have a really bad feeling about this. I sent Dollsquare a message there, because I couldn't open a claim right away. I really just want to escalate it to a claim already. But I need to "Allow time for the seller to respond". I can't even submit any evidence now. I don't know how long I should wait...
was your order alot? sorry to put you down but i don't think u will get your doll...maybe they will resell it? what was your order? we must stop it from being resold by dollsquare. please keep rechecking... im very scared for you...hopefully u can get your money back
@MagiaMafia I ordered an IOS Blue. Please, don´t tell me that.... Hope she does´t resell it... There are also many people on facebook commenting the same situation....
Usually when you open a dispute, the seller has 20 days in which to respond*. If they don't respond in that time frame then you need to escalate the claim. If the seller doesn't respond and you don't escalate it, the dispute will be automatically closed. So you must escalate it if you're not able to resolve the issue with the seller in that 20 day period. It's a good idea to pop a note on your calendar as a reminder to escalate the claim on the 19th day from opening it so you don't miss the deadline. Once you escalate the claim, it dispute gets taken over by a Paypal representative who will try to resolve the issue within 10 days. From other people's experience i've heard that talking to a Paypal representative on the phone can be helpful, though it can be pot luck on who you get as some are more helpful than others. So if you don't get a very helpful person the first time, it can be worth ringing them again on a different day to see if you end up speaking to someone else. *The time frames here are for UK paypal, it might be slightly different for other countries so might want to internet search to double check.
i honestly feel bad for you...i don't want to mention it but if you don't get word out that the doll is yours...who knows what will happen. we should keep bumping a post up on them tbh
Wow I'm so glad I never ordered from Dollsquare like I originally planned to when I was first looking into the hobby :S I hope everyone's orders get sorted/refunded I can't imagine how upsetting it must be buying a doll that is seemingly not coming
Thank you all for the support. Until now still no response from DollSquare and obviously no doll. The doll is still at Dollchateau until the dealer transfer the money.... It's sad that an official dealer of a company does this to their customers
I don't understand when the cracks started showing. but i feel upset for all those who lost their money.
I escalated the dispute to a claim. I have been messaging PayPal through their site and it has been helpful. I managed to upload additional info to the claim too. Now I just have to wait. Edit: PayPal has concluded the case in my favor. So thankfully I will be getting my money back. It seems that Dollsquare didn't sent any messages to PayPal, so maybe that's why I won. I do recommend sending messages through message center to PayPal in this situation.
I ordered a Dollzone Raymond, my grail doll in March this year. The problems with Dollsquare started after that. I emailed Dollzone in July and they said they didn't even get my order nor my money. After that they talked with Dollsquare and fortunately they got my money... They apologised (even though it wasn't their fault) and promised me to make my order as soon as possible. Now I realised Dollsquare deactivated their facebook page and disappeared. I'm terrified and furious. I don't know what the hell I should do. I'll contact Dollzone again. Do you think it's possible for them to send my order to Angelesque instead if they haven't shipped it to Dollsquare yet...? I don't know what the heck to do.
@Yuugata I´m glad for you! For me it´s too late @CyDiamond I would comment the situation to dollzone, ask them if they can sent it directly to you!!
I wrote a message to them describint this situation. (They already knew about me since I contacted them in July with my problem with Dollsquare) I asked them if it's possible to transfer my order to Angelesque since I've ordered through her 2 years ago and there was no problem. Now I contacted Angelesque herself, I hope she helps me out. I wouldn't ask Dollzone to ship directly to me since it's a package of an almost $600 value and I would have to pay like around $200 for customs. (
@CyDiamond To me, at this point I don´t care about the customs, I would be happy if my doll arrived..... You could ask them to lower the value of the package. Hope you can solve it!
Yeah you're right, that was a terrible answer from me. ._. But anyway, if they can't transfer my order to Angelesque, this will be my next question. But since they only started working on my dolls in July, they probably aren't finished yet.
I contacted Angelesque and she took the lead in this mess! She contacted Dollzone and Doll Chateau and they agreed to sort things out. She's also trying to get in touch with Dollsquare and all the people affected by this. So if you're affected, please take a look at Angelesque's facebook page, she wrote a post about this, get in touch with her! @Yuugata @TrizyMF @Guinan and everybody else!
hello, i'm offering my help too, feel free to ask me help for any question about doll square problems, if possible I will be happy to help you as Carol do i want do it too ^__^
It really sounds like the scammer from last year, I hope everyone gets a refund! I can't remember how last years dispute went, but if it's brought to their attention that there are a lot of people who have had their money taken, Paypal will rule in your favor?
Hi, i made contact with angelesque and send her the screenshot of my order and payment. Really appreciates she’s doing this
This was posted on the website: Hello everyone. We are terribly sorry, but we are forced to close DollSquare. For last couple of months we was trying to fight for our store, but unfortunately we failed. All customers money, with time, will be returned to You. Once again. We are terribly sorry for this situation. We are sorry that we failed all of You. So maybe you all get your money back... I hope for it~! Finger-crossed
For my part, nothing.... No doll and no money, doesn´t answer the emails either (I don´t even know why I´m writing her )
