New Hello hello! I use the name milkglasssoul in a couple of other places, but the forum registration page didn't seem to care for that. I've always been interested in dolls but BJD's always felt pretty far out of reach. I tried smaller MJD's like Obitsu, and just this past winter got a 1/6 PVC BJD, so I'm very excited to finally get my first resin BJD. I feel like with so many designers, there are more budget options than there was when I was a teenager. I'm a fan of anime BJD's in particular, as I'm an artist and they come the closest to being able to portray characters the way I draw them. I finally ordered my first doll because of the Crawler Body 2.0 pre-order on SpaceStudioBJD in January. I'm really excited for it, and I'm expecting to get it sometime next month based on the estimate and the sculptor's updates on Rednote. I really like the chubby 1/4 look but they're usually too child-like for me, so I'm excited to get one with more of a stocky, curvy look. I've gotten a second-hand resin head, though I'm anxious to see if it will look good with it since it's a proportionate 1/4 head instead of a bigger one like anime dolls usually have. I'm impressed with how much easier it is to work on than the PVC plastic though. I've been enjoying learning to do faceups, and I have done a little sewing for my PVC doll. I'm excited to make some bigger garments with more room for little details. Hopefully I'll have some nice looking things to share here over the summer.

New Hi, welcome! Sewing for dolls and doing the faceups can be so much fun. I am looking forward to seeing your doll and what you make for them!
