The repaints are gonna be so cute!! I wonder if they'll dethrone l'Oiseau Bleu as the Yo I see in everyone's IG.

 

The little Luna and Lieselotte look so cute next to their big sisters! I only wish Charlotte had gotten a little YoSD sister too! I am sure these two little ones will be very popular. Especially since Lieselotte is in WS. White skin Yos seem to be in such demand. I caved for the little L'oiseau Bleau a while back too He was just too cute to pass up~

However, I just finished painting a way less popular YoSD~ I repainted my Volks YoSD Jun Tachibana months back, and I finally took some nice pictures of her @clochette & @beamlette - Tabitha waves to your cute Kennedy and Quinn! @shinkei Your cute Yo Isao is giving me bad ideas to adopt a little boyfriend for my YoSD Jun hehehe. Your boy's faceup really brings out the best in his mold!

That little Liselotte is killing me, and those fancy little outfits they have are precious.

And I am delighted to see that the Yo-SD body has been updated to be more poseable, it looks fantastic!

 

@snowgray & @beamlette : Thank you both so much! I am very happy with how she turned out. Especially since she came home randomly, I wasn't sure what to do with her.

I am happy to see more YoSD releases I felt like their releases were a lot more frequent years ago, but now not as much. Still waiting for a little Sunglight/Tan YoSD. C'mon Volks!

 

I'd like to see a tan Yo, too -- if and when it happens, I hope it won't be one of the signs of the Apocalypse!

Another sign will be when they put Yos on the Full Choice System menu....

After being tempted by this thread for ages, I have ordered my very first Yo – Lieselotte!
I'm glad Volks JP had her on preorder and not clickwar. The website actually worked better this morning than it does most days.
Now the agonising wait...

I will be ordering Lieselotte on the 2nd, when the new MDD body is available too so I can add them together XD I can't wait to see her in person! Now to decide about Luna…

My partner's Tanpopo was just repainted and came home so I must add her here, I love seeing older yosd/dolls get “updated”

 

If you don't mind me asking (been out of the loop with YoSDs for a while), could you talk more about the differences you see with the new body?

I had a bad day and couldn't wait for my first Yo, so I got this cute little Jun from Mandarake. She has her fullset outfit, but it seems she needs a little TLC. I'm excited for her to arrive

She's here, and in better condition than the Mandarake photos suggested! She has exactly the cheeky little face that convinced me to bring her home. I've named her Mellori. Hopefully I'll have enough time over the weekend to start sewing for her. I can see why Yos are dangerous now...must...resist...urge to buy her more tiny friends...

 

@castironteapot : She is adorable, and looks to be in fantastic condition. I can't wait to see how you customize her! Mellori is a pretty name too.

Finally! I have settled on my dream doll. Of course it’s a Yo-SD! Little Lorina ❣️

Comparing her to other sculpts that I like ; Syo, Four Sisters, Yuuh, Mamu, Linn, Yayoi (who do you see in her face?) - she reminds me of them, but her face is something extra somehow. Maybe it’s how versatile she photographs. Her face has so many expressions!

I treated myself to some long wanted shoes and several wigs for Little Lorina, whenever she finds her way over here

 

For anyone who ordered Lieselotte and/or Luna, Volks have announced the delivery dates: 幼SD女の子 ルナ、リーゼロッテお届け日決定 | ボークス公式 ドルフィーオンラインストア
Basically, if you ordered by the 21st of August, they aim to deliver the orders by early December. All later orders will be delivered in Spring 2024.

 

It's a little confusing...it says by 8/21, but then it says after 8/22 for the Spring order, so is it the 21/22 being shipped by Dec and the rest after, or does "after 22" include the 22nd? I think I may be in the first group, but I'm not sure because of the time difference.

Does anyone know where (nude) pictures of the new body are to be found? I know I’ve seen them.
Actually considering hybrid with Luts HDF, Yo-SD body is beautiful but tired of it not posing well, and the hassle of trying to buy a new body, and the $$$…
I still love the Volks sculpts though, they are the only ones for me.

thanks for the link I don’t know how I didn’t realize Yuki was the first yo sized sculpt Volks did.

 

If you're open to other types of bodies, I recently got a B-26-01 body from LoongSoul to try as an option for my Yo-SDs, and I feel like it's worked out really nicely. I got it in 'Normal Yellow' and it's about a shade or two lighter than my Yo-SD heads (Elena, Rinon, Kanata), which is close enough for me. The neck is also a bit longer than the Volks body, which also doesn't bother me but YMMV.

Here's a picture of the body my Kanata came with (left) along with the head on the LoongSoul body:

I ordered via Alice's Collections and it took around 5 months, which I think is the normal wait from LoongSoul. Alice's also offers free airmail shipping on orders over $35 and dolls under 46cm. Here is the product page, which has more photos of the body and the posing:

Yes she does! She's a good poser, plus the new Yo body is a bit less "tube like" with the legs and arms

 

I am looking forward to poseability of Lieselottes new body, but honestly I think the old one is so much more beautiful and baby chubby which I like.

 

I'm about to go to work, but I can compare Lieselotte and Yo Jun's bodies tomorrow if anyone is interested

Yes, please do if it's not too much work!
I only have a few old ones (Kanon, Neon Mouse, White rabbit) that are totally single jointed and a Mel with double jointed arms so I'm curious to see how the new bodies look compared to the older ones

Jun has the suwaricco body. Lieselotte doesn't, but has mobility thigh joints.
The new body's torso joint is higher up and the arms are slimmer. As far as I can tell, the hands and feet are the same.

Thank you for the comparisons! If I see it correctly the kneeling pose is working pretty well, right? Like, most BJD I have can't completely kneel very well because of how the upper and lower legs touch and just "pop upwards" or tilt forward (since I have not so much space I have my bjd often kneeling so that's one of my ways to gauge how well they pose... Volks seems to be doing a very good job with this even with their single jointed BJD though)

 

@castironteapot, thank you for these comparison photos! I like how Volks has given a more graceful shape to the arms and legs, and the new torso joint is also an improvement.

 

Alice’s body?

I ended up with both Alice and Lorina but will keep only Alice. However, does anyone know her original body? This one has Tenshi origin body. I think it may belong to Una and not Alice.

 

OMG I got a shipping notice this morning. Anyone else?

Just a heads up for anyone else who is tracking, my number was DHL, not EMS, which is different than my past orders. I can't wait to see them...this has definitely been the longest I've waited for a Volks order (haven't done full choice, I imagine that's a long wait as well).

I have them in their FS outfits for now, waiting to see if they ask for a change, and to figure out what their names will be. I'm just happy they're finally here. The little heeled boots are very cool, one of my favorite Yo shoe releases from Volks.

The new body poses like a dream, but I prefer the older one’s chubby look.

@SarahNeko the new body is the new standard. I also noticed the head cap is different, not sure which doll had it first, but the head shape has changed. I think the never sculpts have kind of a ”flatter” and wider face.

Thank you for the comparison photos! It looks like the new body is better for posing. It might be just me, but I'm so used to the chubby aesthetic of the previous body that this new body looks weird for me, hahaha.

 

Yeah I see what you mean, haha! Yos are so light that they're easy and fun to pose even with the older single jointed body!

 

Omigosh, I've been looking at the Yo Juns on Mandarake for the last couple of months and saw that one had been bought! I'm still on the fence but she's so cute!
