    2. Postal service came by on Saturday but did not deliver
They did not come on Monday and I went to postal office to look for my box but they could not find it
so I got scared but eventually the box with the Pirate Boys showed up I was so relieved.

Williams is really a carbon copy of his bigger self once you remove him from the tiny body

    4. Hi CathyM,

You got a great group of Minis. They look so cute together.
Please tell me more about Midi Cecile. How does his head size compare with your Msd F-09?

    5. Thanks, ginarolo. Cecile's head is a little bigger than the F-09's. I find the F-09 has a really small head. He fits in the SDC/Yo wigs much better than the MSD wigs.
Cecile can wear the MSD wigs pretty well. They are a bit big, but he isn't swimming in them like the F-09 does.

I need to find poor Jack a better body. The one he came on is so yellow compared to his almost pinky head.

    6. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll have Ares' midi body. He's on a borrowed Ko-Tenshi body at the moment.

    7. I just bout a Yo-Midi Reisner, and I am wondering if his head will fit on an MSD body or if it has to be a Midi one to work. Has anyone done this? How does it look? Thank you!

    8. It fit Volks SDC and msd reguler body. So I believe it'll fit any standard msd body. Personally, I think the head look better with matured body like SDC.

    9. Yes, the head can fit Msd or Midi body.

    10. I really love Cecile on the sdc boy body. The neck seems a bit long without clothes but perfect with a shirt on.

    12. How did you get knot that ties the two ends of the body's elastic cord through the narrow slot in the YoMidi's head? 00

I wanted to put my Devilman Akira head on an SDC body, but couldn't figure out how to get the knot in SDC body's elastic cord through that narrow slot that his head has, not without untying the knot that is holding the ends of the body's elastic cord together, anyway. :-/

I really don't want to untie the knot in the SDC body's elastic cord, because I'm afraid that it will slip out of my hands while I'm trying to thread the cording up through the slot and the body will come apart. I don't have very good hand/grip strength sometimes. I seriously suck at stringing, even a basic MSD body, my one MSD attempt couldn't even stand, it just kept doing the splits...the hard way. 9_9 Lol, so I can only imagine what an SDC body strung by me would be like, if I ended up having to try and restring it! @_@

Also, I don't think any of my locking forceps will fit through the head's slot either. So, I gave up on the idea, and put him on his SDM body that he came with instead, but the SDM is really not my favorite Volks mini body, I would really rather have him on an SDC body any day!

    13. Hi @JRyu,

Didn't know Devilman Akira had such a small neck hole.

I only have Yo/Midi Cecile and the hole in his head is big enough to put knot through. But if it is a problem for your Devilman Akira I would pull string through the chest/ stomache so knot ends up there. It's a shortcut in case you don't want to restring.

If you need help (I see your going to LA Dolpa.) They will have a doll doctor there that can restring for you.

I use Volks "stringing tool for Msd" to fit through the arms holes or leg holes.

Dollfie® Supplies :: Care Items :: View All Care Items

(Out of stock right now on their website.)

I use the forceps to hold a string after I pull it out with stringing tool.

Home :: Dollfie® Supplies :: Care Items :: View All Care Items :: Stringing Tool for Head (Large)

Volks Stringing hook Large is a great tool for pulling S hook. Gives me more power as I have trouble with my hand strength as well.

Home :: Dollfie® Supplies :: Care Items :: View All Care Items :: Stringing Tool for Head (Large)

LA Volks Dolpa will also being doing stringing demonstrations as well. So make sure to check it out.

Hope to see you there at LA Dolpa. I'll be going there as well.

    14. Thanks ginarolo, I do have a stringing hook, not sure what size, probably the MSD one, since I bought it quite early on, when most of my dolls were MSDs. I've been a little leery to really pull on any stringing with it, as I wasn't sure just how sturdy the tool actually was, and was sort of afraid that the hook would straighten out. ;-)

I'm hoping to be able to have the doctor check out Lue, to make sure his elastic is still viable, and if necessary restring him. Lue is also an SDC hybrid, he is an MSD Kohaku head on an SDC body. ^_^ Lue is very special to me, so his 'health and well being' has first priority. ^_~

I'm really looking forward to the Dolpa and meeting some of the people I've come to know on DoA. ^_^
(Adds, "make a name tag/badge", to the giant "To-Do" list!) ;-D

    15. Yo/Sdm Williams on Sdc boy body

The sdc boy body has a long and thick neck but I think with a high collar it looks great.

    16. Lol, found out at the Dolpa that I've been trying to use the wrong hook all this time! I'd totally forgotten about that little black handled button hook tool, didn't even remember having one. So all this time I have been attempting to pull the neck cords up with that long hook that's supposed to be for threading the cord through the body! No wonder it always seemed so awkward to use! That also explains why the hook at the end kept threatening to straighten out..... it's not made to handle the amount of cord tension you have when attaching the head to the strung body. Lol, it seems sooo obvious now too.... I feel like such a dumb bunny! :doh:lol:

    17. @JRyu glad you got to take the class. It sure does help.

    18. I got this guy yesterday. He is such fun. His name is Petyr. He is a chronic mischief maker, terrible punster and all around smartass.

He is on a Doll Leaves MSD body.
