I'm really happy about the extra sets of hands/feet. Maybe some of those optional hands will become easier to obtain!

Knowing he's a standard edition gives me a little more comfort, though my bank will suffer regardless. :/

 

Yay! Another SD boy! They needed one of those. I was worried I would have to wait until I saved up for an FCS to get one I liked.

He does look like he would make a cute girl though. But I wanted a boy, so I'll leave him alone.

 

I'm glad the margent is on sale, my boys all don't have margent T_T.
New clothes and wigs are all beatiful, I can't wait to have it!!

They are both GORGEOUS - and have leapt to the top of my dolly must-haves! And they are STANDARDS - so I can wait patiently and save up my pennies...no?

Oh, Kanata is definitely going on the wishlist, he is so cute! I've been looking and looking for a sculpt to be an adult version of my one MSD and he'd be perfect. I actually love the wig he comes with, great cut and the choco purple colour is great.

And I'm gonna go with my usual feelings and think that Rinon would make an amazing boy.

New standard models--I love how Kanata's face looks! He can be changed into a girl, I think.

Rinon would look good as a boy. I imagine on SD17 body...

But what is more exciting to me are the New Volks Schpitt magnet and the Eye Putty. Those I'm gonna get for my doll maintenance kit for sure!

 

Is it an easier to use putty than their previous putty? It doesn't really say.

 

I like the new dolls, but I'm not really in the market for one right now. ^_^;;

However magnets... I think for me that is possibly the greatest announcement that Volks could make. I was heartbroken when they wouldn't replace the magnets in my little Rolo but now I can buy him one that I know will fit.

I think I might need to get spares >>;;;;

 

I think Kanata is really cute! I think that I want to get him and turn him into a girl.

 

Yeah, isn't he MORE CUTE as a girl? When I didn't read the descriptions on the news page, I thought Kanata was a girl and Rinon was a boy with long hair.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who think Kanata would look cute as a girl.

awe, see, I've wanted a Volks doll since I moved to Austin and got a chance to see them in real life for the first time, but none of the standards ever did it for me and I didn't feel like paying soooo much for a limited just yet. These two have just jumped right up to the top of my list.

I notice the boy is SD10, would it be possible to change the body to SD13? I know the company probably won't sell him like that, but the bodies are compatible with the heads the same, right?

 

hellsingmongrel - I imagine that Kanata's head should fit just fine on SD10 and SD13 boy and girl bodies. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Kanata and Rinon were added to the FCS by 2011 as well.

 

I doubt I'll have a chance to go to LA for the FCS, but that's good. I'll have to try and save up for these cuties soon. The more I look at Rinon, the more I love her sweet little expression! She reminds me of a little girl version of one of my girlfriend's characters!

 

I agree with the other folks that mentioned Kanata as a girl, I'd love to see that! I wonder if they are adding new heads to the FCS other than Mark, Elena and Myu. I'd love to see some new sculpts :3

 

Rinon is really pretty. I could definitely see myself getting her in the future.

Also, I find it hilarious that the one thing that made me actually shout for joy was NEW PUTTY.
No more wall-eyes!

 

I'm just wondering if there's a chance the new putty may cause staining to the eyes. It seems like it might since I think it's pigmented.

 

It would depend on how big Kanata's head ends up being. The SD13 boy neck is larger than the SD one, and SD sized heads often look too small to be on it and don't sit right on the neck.

 

I'm loving both dolls as is. I hope that they get them into Volks USA before this winter so if I come home to visit I can see them in person. I definitely am going to save up for Rinon first. I can't resist her sweet mouth and it looks like she might have teeth!

The news dolls are just so cute, the boy should be a very cute girl and Rinon remaind me Madoka for eyes, her mouth is so cute.

A lot of putties have color and don't stain eyes, I can't imagine Volks would sell a non-accessory that doesn't do its function well.

 

I hope not. I'm not too sure though, I've seen the glue they use to glue in eyes with FCS dolls stain the eyes a bright yellow upon arrival. And some companies with say, pink putty, have strained eyes, but I do agree that I'm sure Volks is of a much higher quality than the putty from the company I have in mind. I'll certainly have to buy some and see, matching the skin color is an amazing plus!

 

Oh, NOW they are finally selling the magnets. Might have been a lot of people writing in to them for two years about loosing their magnets and asking for replacements

 

AH! Why must you sell magnets now when I had to mod my poor Elena to fit a magnet in when she didn't arrive with them? ;_;

Also, Kanata equals love, yes. I must have him on an sd13 body, though... It's time for me to start saving up ungodly amounts of money for three bodies and a doll! XD

 

So, am I correct in thinking that someday, when money falls from the sky, I can buy the beauty white Elena FCS I've always wanted at LA Sumika??

 

Oh my... Volks does it again. The two new standards are PURE LOVE!! I don't think I've ever taken such a shine to a Volks girl so quickly before, actually. Rinon is too cute!
... I'm also terribly intrigued by this new 'two hands, feet, wigs' business with the FCS update. Is this something that is going to be permanently available, or is it just part of the event? Anybody have any idea?

I like the putty too but must try it out to see if it works well in the tropics. When the weather is hot, some putty become a bit too soft and melty

 

I think they are alright. I am not ecstatic though. I want to see more of them with custom faceups. So far they are just Okay.

 

First of all, I'd just like to say: YAY!!! Volks did it again!!! Woohoo!!!

I knew Volks would give us more wonderful things to wish for!! They haven't let me down yet!!

I am so happy that Myu Sweet Dream's head will be available through FCS!!! Isn't it amazing? Not only is it a head from a limited doll, but it is also a Sweet Dream head!!! This gives me hope that maybe someday they will add more limited Sweet Dream heads. White Skin Mimi Sweet Dream, anyone?

The new Standard Models are so cute!!! I'm absolutely in love with Rinon!! There's just something about her that I can't describe. She's mature, sweet, and beautiful in a cute, cooky sort of way. She can be almost anyone!! Don't you just want to kiss her nose? I love her nose!! Kanata is wonderful too!! He's almost too handsome to be a Standard Model!! I think he's my new favorite SD Boy!

Who else thinks that the new wig color Peach Cream is adorable? It's so soft and pretty, like creamy sorbet!! If I ever get a Luna, she is so wearing that color!!!

 

How long should it take for Volks USA to get the new standards, or at least announce them on their website? Not that I'm going to have the money for Kanata anytime soon, but I'd at least like to drool over him in english...

My friends and I were checking the Volks website when they updated on Friday night, and these new standards are definitely the highlight of the Sumika Fair! I like both Rinon and Kanata, but I find myself adding Kanata to my DOA Wishlist ...as well as a whiteskin Mark. Volks did an amazing job on these two standards!

I actually like Kanata more because he reminds me of Tsukasa as well as DOD Camine. I'm unsure if it's his styling or his actual headmold that looks like Camine. But I like it! Rinon has so many parts of other dolls infused into her that she is just too cute. I see Yori's headshape and chin, Syo's nose, and Anais eyes as well as the maturity of Olivia in her face. I'm impressed with these two.

I really would enjoy it if Volks released SWD Mimi as a FCS option, and the Peach Cream color is also something that caught my eye. I hope Volks decides to release Peach Cream in other styles, especially boy styles~!

I'm sure you're correct about the SD13 body, but I wonder how his head would work on a SDGr body. Those are much slimmer. I assume Kanata and Mark have similar head sizes, so hopefully someone with a Mark head and SDGr body can take photos to share.

 

I'm sure the lower slenderness would look better, but I think the SDGr body has shoulders that are just as wide as the SD13, and I find for me personally that it's neck size and shoulder width that make or break the proportions for me. Maybe with some neck modding it would work better.

 

Wouldn't it be wonderful? I hope they will add Nono Sweet Dream too!!! I'm sure that Peach Cream will be very popular and Volks will make it available in more styles. I can just imagine SD Mark in it too!

 

Oh wow Cammy that would be wonderful if they released a SwD Nono~ (<--I'm not biased about SwD Nono or anything >__>).

It seems as if Rinon would make a good boy as well~ I love the new styles and colors Volks is releasing! The Peach Cream is truely my favorite it reminds me of Dollga's Pink Cocktail.
Good thing they are relased in the USA site later (I need to have time to save up some money~)

 

LOL, we both have good reasons for loving Sweet Dream Nono, Mello!!! I'm still hoping to get a white skinned Sweet Dream Nono to be Virginie's sister Eugenie!! Let's keep praying!

How does one go about purchasing one of these?

 

After they're officially released at the Tenshi no Sumika fair, then Volks would offer them for sale on their international website. You just add it to your shopping cart and pay online. Since it is a standard, it is not limited in quantity nor time. Stock may run out upon its initial release, but it will be restocked.

There is no definite news when VolksUSA or any of the two North American retailers will have these in stock. But they will eventually have them in stock.
