Volks Tenshi-no-Sato 4 Year Anniversary

I totally shoulda put this here instead of the Dolpa thread, but here you go!

Well, I just got my Volks News in the mail along with my invitation to the Sato Members' Only event! I've been doing my best to translate it, but it seems like they're doing things all weekend! Starting at 8:30am on the 15th, folks line up in their parking lot, they'll start arranging the lottery for entry at 9. Then at 10 they open the doors & you enter according to your position in line. Then you get your ticket of the limited & if you're lucky, buy one! They've got Sakaki & Yayoi, plus 3 new Sakura Pink Yo-tenshi wings and 2 new pink & white large angel wings! Sakaki will be mine!

EDIT: They'll also have the new SD full choice items on display! But I don't think you can order them till the 16th & 17th... I'm not sure, still translating!

So it sounds like this one is like the one I attended in October. ^^;

Just to warn you, people will come waaaaaaaaaaaay before 8:30 am to line up lol

 

But she is a member... she got her card yesterday, it'll just take a while to activate, right? Or will it activate too late?

But yes, as long as you have your card you are set to be able to attend, or at least should be, they should be sending you the info now. I am pretty sure for the Oct one they sent you an official invite with your ID and stuff on it.

But yes, people will line up pre-8:30, like waaaaay before 8:30. Fortunately, since this is the 3rd release of the sakura wings they're probably not be as crazy as the forget-me-not ones.

 

LOL, your PM makes so much more sense now. No worries! I just hope that all the beaurocracy will go through in time so there's no hassle.

 

Hmm... but now I am confused. There is the daytime event that I've received an invite for, but there's also a nighttime event that is lottery only? I think that's when they'll be releasing the snow white skin Yuu, plus each lucky attendee gets a pair of pink yo-tenshi wings... But darn it, I had no idea!

 

Aww, she has the same kanji as my town! Good thing I have no need for Yos, but she's extremely cute. But wow, there's a lot going on that weekend.

It sounds like:

Daytime, also invite only usually and they do check IDs and cards and I think there is your name and ID # on the invite (going by Oct) People will start lining up around 7:00 am (or earlier) and then around 9ish you get to pick a lottery # and hopefully don't get 1067 XD; Those with good #s can get the wings (they usually sell out first), Sakakai, and it sounds like there will be Yayois there as well as pre-orders. If it is like the Oct event it will take all day just cause of payment and stuff and Sato will be scary crowded. (Think 1000 people there) You'll get to see the new FCS items and give us all a report on your impression of the heads and whatever else new items we're getting and we will all be deathly jealous.

Around dinner time, there is another event that is invite only also decided by lottery. Though thankfully the lottery is done ahead of time, not like that day. Once you receive this invitation you mail it in and lottery is held for who gets to attend. I believe if you want a Yuh you need to request at this time. It costs around 5000 yen and you automatically get a pair of sakura wings and food! I think you can also bring a guest but I don't remember if they can buy Yuh or if they can even buy the wings.

Yeah for Volks and their love of lotteries! lol

 

Ok I thought volks already filled my wishlist for my birthday. Yayoi just shot everything else down. She's just so lovely.

I remember hearing somewhere that guests were NOT allowed to buy Yuh or the wings, but I don't remember where I saw that.

I don't remember get any papers about this events.
Did i forget or Volks did not sent it yet???

This time i got only the Volks news, but in October i got a paper to get the Yo tenshi and use them.
So i think i need same to get Yayoi, right, it's not a limited doll , we can reserve it???

For the daytime event you need a ticket, which should come to you in the mail with your Volks News. If you are a member & didn't get a ticket, you should try calling your local Volks store. For the night event, it's lottery done by filling out an online form (which I have yet to do, oops!). Hope that helps!

Perhaps your VS membership expired? I think you need to either order a FCS or pay to renew each year. My friend received our Volks News as well as our invites.

If you and your husband plan to attend you each need a separate ticket since they check IDs.

 

Do you know if regular FCS orders will be taken during the event? Not for the newest molds supposed to be only exhibited, but for the others?

Yesterday i send a mail to Volks team and got an answer, they will send me application to pay the 1050 yens of membership and my ticket, ^^

So I'm really happy and think this time Volks are great, ^^

I don't understand about the tenshi and the limited one.
In october we got a ticket for one of each Yo tenshi, only need to give the ticket to reserved.
But this time nothing.

So if i go there can i reserve a Yo tenshi yayoi or Sakaki? or it's limited too???

Volks it's very complicate to understand and the Dollpa is sunday during the events.
Me i would like to go monday if i can surely get the tenshi no limited one and FCS service.

Or saturday but afternoon, i just want to reserved 2 angels ans make a FCS, with normal head.

Please help??

First, Kirane and Megu-chan, you can place FCS orders on the 16 during th Dolpa at Tenshi no Sato But not at the Dolpa itself and on the 17th. There will be no FCS orders for any heads taken on the 15th as the first day of the event Volks is too busy. On the first day of an event there will be 400-1200 people trying to attend.

As for the ticket, I will describe the general process based on having gone to the Anniversary event in 2006 and the October 2007 event. ^^

Japanese fans will start lining up around 6:00 am to get a lottery #. I personally do not know how popular Yayoi or Sakaki are with Japanese fans so I can not say if the number will be towards the lower end or the higher end of the spectrum. Fans wait in line to about 9:00 am when Volks starts to let people draw a lottery #. When you go to draw your lottery # Volks will check that you: Have your membership card, have your ID, and have an invite addressed to you. All interested parties must have joined the line by 8:30 a.m. Your lottery # is your actual position in line and you will be lined up accordingly.

We don't know how many of Sakaki will be available, but depending on your lottery # he will sell out before it is your turn. Because I think Volks got so many pre-orders with Yuki and Yuh last time (more than anticipated according to their website) there is a set amount of Yayois for sale that day and a set amount of pre-orders. The available dolls are sold first and then the pre-orders. Once the total has been met, they will be sold out.

In summary, if you draw a bad lottery # it is completely possible you will have gone to the event and waited on line for nothing. (Much like Dolpa) If Yayoi proves popular there will be no pre-orders available on the 17th.

I think the "real life" auctions photos are prettier than the Volks promo photos, but she still doesn't appeal to me personally. I would like to see her customized, though, as I have complete confidence that some artist out there could make her look amazing. Just hafta wait a while for repaints to show up. =*^^*=

And I want my Yayoi! I drew 204, so the available girls were gone before I got there, but at least I got my preorder!
