Volks Super Dollfie - SD, SD13, SD16, SD17, SDGr, SDGou & FCS - XXXI

I think it's a lot of "it depends". Wig and eyes? Maybe. Clothing- probably not, though something similar may be released later. Shoes? Ahahahahahaha- no. It seems like most of the restock stuff is either Dollfie Dreams stuff, or stuff that is used up like eye putty, wig spray, elastic, etc.

I think the wish list is just for you to keep track of stuff, they don't send out announcements at all.

I know their Facebook page gives announcements on restock items and when raffles for the newest clothes are, but that's the only social media I use.

 

I'm not familiar with the VolksUSA site but the international site restocks their items occasionally. Some stuff is pretty seasonal so you might have to wait a bit depending on what you are looking for. The secondhand market might be your best friend here.

 

Thank you both for your responses! I'm still learning about Volks but their dolls are impeccable. It sounds like their website is... not so much.

 

Eh, I'd say no worse than most. Pretty much anything bjd related is limited, whether in when you can buy it (like Makoeyes for example, which opens when they finish up orders, then close again when they hit their limit- which can make trying to buy them an exercise in patience) or only available in a fullset, or only preordered, or just so many items were made so when they're out, they're out.

Yes it takes a while to get into the Volks world. Their sales model is pretty different from most other companies (like Luts for example). I am still not sure I understand it all perfectly. And it is definitely true that they focus mostly on the japanese market. At least most dolls and outifts can be found second hand. It just takes some patience if you're looking for a good deal.

I kinda got hooked on Volks before I knew it. Just wanted to get one or two. And now they are taking over my collection (and my heart) . Their dolls are just too amazing to resist .

I think some Volks USA items that can/will be restocked have a note about it on the listing. I definitely saw “will restock on ___ date” notices when I was looking at stands.

Some of the items on the international store that say they’re pending restock are a total lie though. Like if a Dolpa or monthly clothing collection release is sold you, you can basically assume it’s gone for good. I checked back multiple times per day for weeks on the international store when I’d missed a clickwar. The items said they’d restock but they truly never did. I was lucky enough to win them in a lottery through Volks USA a few months later.

I think more standard items like (non-limited) wigs and eyes might get restocked, but some are old models that might be being phased out, so it totally depends.

 

do you know what dolls have been released in Pink Fair? I presume it's lighter than Standard color and more pink?

 

So far, I think it is only Rapunzel. Cinderella was Alabaster. I think Elsa will be Alabaster also.

 

I saw Volks post about drozen on the front page, and was excited that they were posting about the next Lottery for the SD13/SDGr girls... but it was about the DearSD.

 

Volks USA just posted about AE clothings. I guess this means they really are not doing any of the dolls from DP46 other than the two Frozens?

@amenba You're only allowed to do one entry per person. If you put in multiple entries then Volks will cancel all of them, unless you did them through different accounts.

I’m so eager for VolksUSA to start shipping Lieselotte, it’s almost happening! I’ve slowly been accumulating things to shower on her when she arrives, and my other dolls have been sneakily trying a few of those things on in the meantime, lol.
