I took some new photos of my Williams today! Not exactly on Halloween theme but felt inspired!

 

Today I finish a dress I was making for october sewing project. It is inspired on the Crimsom Peak Lucille's dress.
Oscar looks awesome in red. Hope to make some time soon to take her to a nice place and take good pics.

 

Does anyone know if the 10k JPY gift is accumulative? or it's only one gift even if you hit 20k JPY in single purchase? Thanks.

Entering a lottery for Volks USA is so easy. It took me many days to enter a lottery in Volksjapan because they rejected all my credit cards, I had to borrow my mom's cc and it was also rejected. It took like 5 calls to the bank because the cards were all blocked after trying to use it in the lottery. Finally one went through and I didn't even win so much headache and for what? lol

While in Volks USA I submitted my lottery application quickly and easily.

I believe in the saying "if you don't win it, it wasn't meant to be".

I entered for two. The Reisner took my breath away! and the cute Cecile. What are the odds of winning both? I'm competing with all USA, Canada and Mexico

Just re-reading the Volks international lottery page, looks as if we can enter for multiple dolls? Can anyone point me in the direction of the instructions on checking out? Do we enter all dolls to the cart or make individual lottery ballots? I haven’t entered yet just don’t want to mess up. Thanks!

 

When I entered, it was separately. Once logged in, I went to each doll's page and clicked 'lottery application'. Once clicked it basically railroads you into applying for just that doll. But it did accept when I repeated the process for the others I'm trying for. I think having a credit card on file might have streamlined the process. They all end up on the same 'lottery application' page under my account info page.

I agree this is the best way to look at it! There will always be more lovely dolls anyway.

I'm not so sure I'd go as far as to call scalpers "scammers", but I will be happy for all of the dolls who make it to homes where they won't immediately be resold for profit!

 

Same as what @Psycho Sukafu said - apply for each doll and you can confirm that your lottery submission has been made by going into your profile, and the "抽選販売申込情報 ／ 受注限定企画購入情報" (Enter Lottery to Purchase application information / Limited order planning purchase information" page. If your submission was successful, you'll see your submission on this page.

I also have a credit card on file that likely stream-lined quite a bit of the process. I remembered back when I got my Hijikata Toshizo I had to call my bank and verify my identity for my 'suspicious activity' on my card despite having made other purchases with Volks International in the past. Well, better safe than sorry I suppose.

I entered for a couple of dolls this time in both the international and the USA site. I really hope I can admire lots of beautiful photos here from winners.

 

According to the IG post Sapphire will only be available during the Tezuka Osamu memorial and the tenshi no sato. Rip.

 

With Sato details "to be announced". Which is not very promising.

Guess I better prepare myself to shell out big for her

It would be nice if Volks would set up the Sapphire preorder lottery so that each entry needed a unique VS membership number, and a unique shipping address. I’m sure that would suck for multiple hobbyists in the same house, but it would cut down on the number of dolls bought solely for resale. :/

Sapphire is so adorable, and I would love to have just the outfit, but alas, I have no chance. My wallet is thankful.

I’m glad Volks has started shipping out some of the preorder Lucia’s, though I know my Lieselotte won’t be here until probably next year (ordered from VolksUSA). Maybe she will make a nice birthday surprise for me, lol.

Miss Morgan has been dying to wear white, so I took Halloween as a good time to try it.

 

My SDGr Lucia finally arrived yesterday!
I'm really amazed by the quality of her default outfit. The green lining of her "skirt" is so intricate and the green colour looks very vibrant in person, the shoes have such a nice shine to them and only the buttons on her trousers were a little finicky.
The wig is great as well, which surprised me. The wigs from Volks are usually a hit or miss but this one is perfect: very soft and the haircolour compliments her face up perfectly!

 

She’s stunning @Ayanami ! Congratulations on getting her home! It’s good to hear the wig is nice quality, that was something that worried me a bit. Her outfit looks great, too!

 

@Aiko-chan Thank you so much! I'm very glad that I decided to pre-order her, I almost didn't do it since I wasn't sure if I'd like the SDGr girl body.
And I thought that there would be a lot of product in her hair to help keep her curls intact. But I stand pleasantly surprised!

Finally got around to putting in my freebie/lottery entry for the VolksUSA drawing. Had to go to my storage unit to get the COA for the picture. I don't expect to get anything in the lottery, pretty sure I used up my luck on my Lina dollfie.

Does anybody have the "heart" hands that are a possible prize? Is it one piece? How hard is it to attach hands that are together as one piece.

 

Yay I got to unbox Lucia today . She's so gorgeous. I am so happy I got her . Sadly her leggins were missing in her fullset but I'll write Volks about it and I am sure they'll help me out.

As she can't really wear her fullset outfit without leggins I put her in this wonderful pink gown instead:

Isn't she beautiful? It's the middle of the night so the light wasn't great but I'll definitely take proper pictures eventually.

Urgh, same here... For the longest time I've had money put aside for Elsa specifically, but after keeping it around for almost a year I ended up just dumping it into other stuff Volks revealed through the year...

Though, given that the only thing they really say in the tweet is, "We'll reveal/announce the latest info"... I think our wallets should be safe for now?

I do hope they reveal some faces this time around though.

 

Besides the initial announcement, I don't think Volks teased anything on social media in advance of Volks News (with possible cover of Volks News?), so I'm tenatively thinking it might be it. I'm curious what Monday will bring.

Hi! I was wondering if there is a recommended list somewhere for where to buy clothing for SD16 girls?

 

I don't have a SD16 or a full list, but I do have an Angell-Studio Youth girl, and she can wear a SD16 dress from Volks. So... their clothes would probably work.

Edit: Given that Volks own site lists SD16 and Dollfie Dream together, any shop that makes things to DD size will probably work, as long as it's not a Dynamite.

Hi everyone! I've managed to snag a default Yukinojo... I had him back in the day, and now I'm remembering how hard it was to clothe him! He's coming with his outfit, but I'd like to find more for him to choose from. I seem to recall he can wear SD17 stuff, but will he fit Iplehouse SID, do we know? Also, any help in pointing me towards things he'd fit will be very welcome.

 

This is unlikely, SD16 are quite a bit bigger than Dollfie Dreams. DDY clothes *might* fit but seeing as SD16s are closer in size to SDGr boys than they are to DDs, I doubt those would fit 1:1 either. Volks is notorious for saying clothing will fit dolls that it doesn't fit well at all, like all the items marked for SD-SD17. Those items will fit an SD17, but it'll be huge on anything smaller. Even the next size down (SDGrB) will be swimming in it.
Certain items might work depending on the cut of the garment and the material it's made of, but in general I'd be doubtful of anything that fits DDs that also says it fits SD16.

 

SD16 are taller than DD, but in general SD16 and DDIII can share a lot of clothing without issues. Very fitted outfits and pants will always be an issue, but dresses (will be shorted on SD16), sweaters, etc should be no issue. Mine wardrobe share regularly.

Though.... @yin801122 looks like I was completely wrong, the Frozen girls are coming. The timing... And with Mytyl too... If they're all available internationally as well, I'm going to have to make some difficult decisions.

 

Was it already established that the Frozen girls would be Dear SD and not SDGr? Or will there be both? I'm personally not interested in Frozen in general, but with the other Disney princesses being full-sized, I'm surprised to see the Dear SD.

 

Volks please have mercy on me....so many dolls at once...I want them all... I don't like frozen because I had to watch that movie like a bazillion times thanks to my dear nephew who loved the movie and the song drove me nuts but but...these DSD girls, I want them THEY'RE SO CUTE!!!

 

I think there will be both! But SDGr at a later date it seems.

 

Anna will be SD13 and Elsa SDGR for adult versions of the characters while the DearSD were planned for their child versions.

It seems like they realized dropping four on us at once wouldn’t be feasible for people who want them all so they’re splitting it up.

 

Oops - forgot that Anna is SD13 - we haven't seen a new SD13 girl in a while! Out of curiosity, are these releases also in the special pink skintone like the other Disney releases?

 

Believe I saw that the DearSD are in alabaster (Elsa) and pink (Anna) so seems like they’re sticking to that with a variation for elsa

 

Anna is apparently in pink fair which is a special skin tone.

 

It's alright I was wrong too lol The only thing I'm glad about is it's just the two DSD girls this time and not the main 13 and Gr Anna & Elsa Still debating about the two DSD as their face really just not what I was expecting... I will definitely try for for mytyl though; her face-up this time is so pretty.
