So this is for real? I can finally get Lieselotte without the lottery or click war stress? I'm having a really hard time believing this, it seems to be to good to be true

 

Awww, looks like they don't offer SDGR girl size or white skin. I've been browsing and liking Lieselotte, but don't want her in SD13 or SD bodies.

So you would need GL/VS/VIP memberships to participate in the FCS?

I was prepared to order a doll from a different company but after seeing this news my doll plans are changing. Lieselotte is a dream doll for me and I had pretty much accepted that it would never happen. I'm over the moon with excitement. It really does feel to good to be true.

I've only ordered through the USA site and I'm confused about how this will work. Can someone kindly explain to me how the pre-order works? Do I need to get a Global Membership to be able to order?

Lots of very exciting news~!! How awesome is it to see preorders for Charolette, Lieselotte and Lucia?! I'm really excited for anyone who have been pining for these ladies. I'm super tempted to order Charolette and Lieselotte but I don't need twins or in Charolette's case, triplets, so I am safe from this round. But looks like no Frozen news which is making me really feel like these are a Volks Dolpa release that will happen later this year. But such a long teaser ....

 

That's a bummer, at first I was excited for a SDGr white body... now I'm wondering whether to look for someone to split Lucia with. I still plan to get Lieselotte if it is indeed preorder (I think people will riot if it's not at this point ).

It frustrates me a lot because if I recall correctly, the original announcement specifically stated Winter 2020...

Nope, what you see is what you get! Unless you want to wait for Volks’s Elsa who will be an SDGRG and possibly WS!

 

@RamenNoodle Sadly but I have to confirm that there's no skin color choice for a limited doll... We have some exeption, but those will show up in the promo picture... Since Lucia in promo only show up as normal skin, I solidly confirm that this round gonna be only normal skin for sdgr.

If you truly want a ps white, I'd suggest you to hunt down 'Sophie', if my memory is correct she's a lasted sdgr in white skin released.

I don't think Elza will get ps white, since all the Disney Princess serie that released so far had got their "unique and only one" skin color Pink... (I forgot the fullname) for Rapunzel and Alabaster White for Cinderella.

 

Wow, Volks has been quite generous with their preorders lately, how nice to see these much loved sculpts available again!

I love all three of these sweet sculpts, not sure if I'm gonna go for any of them though. I noticed that Lucia has the small chest, which looks really small, like DD SS bust level small. Not sure if that would be a plus for me or not when it comes to clothing.

I hope everyone who wants one of these lovely girls can snag one!

I'm soooo happy they're doing preorders for their dolls that are like impossible to get on the 2nd hand market for a reasonable price! I can't imagine it's easy for such a small company to produce these dolls in preorder volumes, so I hope they'll at least decide to rerelease the really sought-after ones (that aren't collabs, of course) as preorder maybe once a year or so :3

So far limited fullset releases only, no Gr girls in FCS.

 

Ah! I would love to bring home Lieselotte! Hopefully the pre-order process is simple and international? I don't know anything about special Volks accounts.

 

You'll need to register for a normal Volks website account and then purchase global membership. It seems to take more time to be processed than they say it does (mine took about a week), but I also don't think you need to rush right out and get it right now unless you want to buy something immediately. Membership lasts for a year and you can earn points on everything you purchase with global membership (but not with standard Volks webstore membership), so if you're not itching to buy something right now you might as well save the extra few weeks of membership for later, lol! Maybe apply two or so weeks before the preorders open?

There were supposed to be in-person perks (like Sato FCS) for overseas members visiting Japan, but due to COVID they were never implemented.

If you're in North America, I think Volks USA will be getting them too? They had the Williams and Cecile preorders, right?

More doll tax. Can you tell I'm really enjoying seeing snow for like the first time in 15 years? >w<

@Roterwolkenvogel haha, thank you! I used to live somewhere where it snowed every winter, but moved away when I was 9ish and never really got to see snow frequently afterwards. My family got a cabin in the mountains a few years ago though so I'm finally getting to experience it again and am extremely excited to go out in it with my dolls tomorrow! >w<

 

In other news, we finally got a Frozen update! ...Which really didn't tell us anything other than confirm what outfits Anna and Elsa would be in and give a preview of the smaller dolls.

Seems like they're probably not coming out until fall or winter at this rate. Which is fine, I just wish they'd confirm when we can expect them.

I'm so happy I can get at Liselotte at last (wonder if she will come with blushed hands too, as on the pictures?). I wish she was an SDGr, but to be honest I don't mind that much.

As for the Frozen dolls, after the initial excitement, I feel pretty frustrated now. It's nice that they are giving regular updates and teasers though.

 

I've never been obsessed with any of these girls, but...This version of Charlotte is just too cute! I don't know if I'll be swayed yet or not, but I'm very much looking forward to seeing some new owner pictures!

 

At last I can get Liselotte without having to lottery (which I've never been won) or paying ridiculously price to the 3rd-party shop lol. Definitely take a leave and go to pre-order her at Dolpa45. Really looking forward to the event!

 

@Astro Thanks for your great explanation! I am in the USA, so maybe I will wait a bit and see if Volks USA announces them. I have a Volks Int account, but not a global membership- but that might change if Volks USA doesn't announce them, lol.

I'm all signed up and waiting for the pre-order to open so I can throw my money at Volks. I'm really happy that Volks decided to do a pre-order for these girls. It's soo exciting. I would love to bring home all three but only have funds for Liselotte. Congratulations to everyone who is finally able to obtain their grails!

My excitement is growing for Lieselotte and the others, although the tease for Frozen has left me wanting more.

Ug, the update on the Frozen collaboration gives practically no new information. The sketches of the DearSD are cute (of course) but the rest is basically descriptions of their outfits. The way they're dragging this out though... it HAS to be a preorder, right? Otherwise taunting us all for naught would just be cruel.

Speaking of preorders, I love this Charlotte/Liselotte/Lucia release. I'd be all over ordering Lucia, if I didn't own her already. And I really love Liselotte, but have never actually put my hat in for her. I don't think I'll order her this time either, though - I'm holding out for the Frozen girls.

 

I received two Kimono sets recently. I believed they are from previous Volks Oneoff models.
The kimonos are so well made and I like their color matching very much, I would like to share them here and hope you like.

I have a stupid question.... Does pre order still mean a limited numbers of dolls will be up for purchase? Or let's say if I was rich I can just go ahead and buy 100 dolls in pre order

 

@keii_chan I think it will be limited to 1 set per person. So you can order 1 of each doll (1 Lucia, 1 Charlotte and 1 Lieselotte) but not more than 1 each. But if you have other people in your household who want to order the dolls, they will be able to order as well.

 

Many said the upcoming girls will be sold as pre-order, but Volks is using the word 注文販売(order sale) instead of 受注販売(pre-order). From my understanding these two words have different meanings - Volks is not going to sell those girls like they sell the Miku-s. There are total quantity limit, more than those selling by lottery, but less than pre-order (indefinite quantity). Or did I understand the words wrong?

 

Its a preorder because on the website they say you can definitely get a doll!
They say this “ご注文いただいた皆様に100％お迎えいただけます！” which basically means we can get the dolls with a 100% probability... from what I understand XD

 

Yes that's right. If you can pre-order them you will definitely get them. But when do you receive is depend on where/what method do you order.

For example, if you go to dolpa45 and preorder, you will get them around end of May (5月末) but for after event or whatsoever you will get them around Autumn. And since they've posted in their website that the schedule for deliver might be delayed if there are too many orders, I assume that it is not quantity-limited for a period of time.

(Still, it might change depend on their decision)

 

Yes, I understand that 'those who have made the order will 100% get the doll'. It's just weird to me Volks didn't say 受注販売 (pre-order) but 注文販売(order sale). Hope the opening for order won't be sold out and close in super short time

If you go to the page that shows the dolls on Dolpa website. It says preorder on the website. Anyone who orders within the time period will get a doll.

Volks has offered this idea of preorders in the past and I've never heard of the orders reaching a level where Volks cut off the ordering period. They know these girls are very popular and the fact that they are allowing a second ordering period with the AE will give people ample time to order.

Very cool that they are offering people a chance to design the 100th head! I hope they post some of the candidates and maybe we could vote on it? It would be cool to see the designs. My drawing skills are equivalent to stick people, so I really can't see myself submitting anything. I don't think Mr. Bill is a candidate for an FCS head or at least not a Volks aesthetic kinda thing.

 

I know I'm late to the party but I'm so excited! I can FINALLY get a Lieselotte?! Really? I'm in disbelief! After trying every single lottery event, every one-off event (that I could enter for--and sometimes pay a proxy to enter for me), and even occasionally giving into bid wars on Y!JP, but always, ALWAYS missing out this is like just astounding turn of events. I was going to go buy an SD13 Okita Souji, but am glad I didn't jump on him as fast as I could have.

Anyways, sorry for the dramatics, but seriously this is like a ray of sunshine for me on what has so far been a very rough, and painful year. I'll take any and all good news I can get.

Did anyone else notice the Galerie de l'esprit Mini Hat Box & Wingtip Lace Up Boots on the Sumika page? Looks very cute! I might have to break and try for it. And a on a slightly off topic note, there is some new Adoption Project of 1/6 that are "Dollfie is a fusion of dolls and Figures". Interesting!

VolksUSA sent out an email that they'll be accepting pre-orders for the Dolpa 45 dolls.

 

Once again, Mandarake delivers in a big way. Less than 40 hours from shipment notice to the box landing at my door. DHL can be spendy, but it is so worth it! And opening up that box made me remember just why I've longed for Commodore Williams 1.0 so much.

Cannot wait to take photos of all of them this weekend!

 

Hi guys, I have a question.. I want to buy W-087-2 Short Bob / Natural at Volks USA store, but it is out of stock now. And I'm wondered would it be restocked again. Do you guys happen to know had this item been restocked before or recently?

 

@01KE, unfortunately that's an old style that Volks discontinued some years back, and now Volks USA is sold out of their remaining stock. I looked at the Volks Japan store, and it's no longer listed there. It was a largish wig, and better suited to the big head sculpts, like the SD Four Sisters and Kun.
