Volks Mini thread (MSD, SDC, Midi sized dolls) - Part 2

Meet Blaire! She is a coordinate model f-33 I picked up on the marketplace. I absolutely adore her and can't wait to order her her own wig and some other clothes.

I got this super cute Myou Doll outfit the other day and finally got the chance to put it on my SDM Noa! Noa was one of those dolls I only picked up because she is really similar to Dai/F43 who is on my wanted list and she was super cheap, but man she is super cute in the right outfit!

 

So I got a volks lolita dress for JinHyuk and he was in this for at least 3 days...it's so cute!

 

Volks USA's holiday one off models announced! There is one SDM and one SDC, both beautiful girls!

 

I won this outfit from the Volks USA lottery! I absolutely adore it, and want to make her a little apron to go with it.

I am unfamiliar with SDC size. Do you know if they have a mature or immature body (small bust)?

 

@Oliveoil Most SDC girls have an M bust. Only Kurenai has the S bust. They’re not super mature by any means though. My SDC Renee is in the middle of these comparison photos with Harucasting and MYou if that helps.

@Elysiaaa Sooo cute! I love that photo! And I really wish they could make their own clothes, too. Then I would know what they’ll actually wear and not just have clothing that none of them want to wear.

I have a Mina! I’m on my phone right now so sharing pics is difficult, but I made a doll profile for her on here, her name is Rica.

 

When I was organizing my photos I found this image I took a while ago. My mom described it as beauty and the beast but ngl this is one of my fav shot.

My Mina came in today and just in time too. I probably won't be able to afford more dolls for a while thanks to a not-so pleasant Boxing Day surprise, and it feels fitting that I end the year with my first Volks fullset.

I'm not great with pictures but here she is...

 

Mina is a cute one. Does she sorta resemble Mia or Lucia? I've seen people having her as a sdm version of mia and lucia.

Double post! I'm new to Volks (using the VolksUSA website for orders btw). When an item goes out of stock (say a wig in a certain color or white socks), will it ever be restocked? I figured that some outfits and items are limited and some aren't but wasn't sure which ones those are. (I'm looking at a a pair of 18mm eyes, socks, and shoes for MSD. Hopefully I can afford them around July of this year.)

Also, does the wish list do anything? I put a few items there as reminders for myself but I wasn't sure if Volks sent out reminder emails if said items become available.

One last thing I promise, but does Volks announce their sales or newly stocked items outside of their website? I've tried following their Instagram page but it's mostly pictures of Japan exclusive Dolpla SDs...

I think she looks most similar eye shape wise to Mia!

 

I have Mina and May twins! They are my favorite sculpt!

 

My SDC girl collection will soon be complete! Got my tax refund and bought the SDC May who’s been sitting on Dollyteria for months She looks a little dirty but that’s ok. I’m not in love with her default faceup anyway so I might just clean her up, wipe her faceup, and ship her off to Canada for a new one. Now to think of a name… My girls all have Japanese flower names and I got lazy with my last one (Hana). Time to get creative I guess.

Volks USA restocks 1-2 times a month usually, though with the current issues with international shipments it seems like it's taking a bit longer. Usually they leave a note if the item is no longer manufactured and won't receive restocks toward the bottom of the item page If you want shoes, I'd recommend going to volks international instead, they have a lot more shoes in stock (you have to buy GL membership which is $8 a year). I don't think the wishlist does anything. Also, Volks USA emails you about restocks before they're actually in stock so you can get ready for a potential click war on popular items. Hope this helped if you haven't already gotten an answer!

Did anyone place a FCS order for a SDM in August? I was looking at this order going on rn and noticed that they are offering double jointed knees. I can't remember if that was an option a few months back!

I am trying to find a photo of comparison between msd, sdc and midi but my phone is not helping. Does anyone know where can I find it? I remember a chart from volks itself showing the lines of all dolls together. I don't remember if it was a real photo of the dolls or just the silhouette but it had even a tiny doll and following to the big guys.

Hopping back in to ask: What do you guys do about the lower torso joint? I find it to be very finnicky on my girls it makes posing for photoshoots difficult sometimes. I've been considering just getting some MSD saddle stands for peace of mind, but is there a better method?

 

I've struggled with that too and would also be interested in a solution.
