Volks Hometown Dolpa Osaka 6 August 1, 2010

ahyu I think cell phone pics are up a few days before the guide book is delivered (they are being sent out on the 10th I believe). So I would guess the end of this week beginning of next. Of course, that is just a guess...

Yeah I would love to go to a Dolpa in Japan but I think that Im going to have more fun watching my big black husband in the mists of all the Japaneses people. But I know he is going to have a good time too hes really starting to get into it so I think it will be ok.

 

Here's a wicked thought... Yo-Renee. OMG would be so cute. XD I was randomly struck with this thought while browsing DoA this morning... ^^ The cuteness of Renee on the awesomeness of a Yo body... O___O

I'd be dreaming of the Suiseiseki/Souseiseki sculpt in BTSSB, but yes YoRenee, and what about a Yo-Luna? then again, a Yo-Suiseiseki. really though hoping for a SD girl that I think I need.

Someone once pointed out after I got my Mamu repainted that it looked a bit like Renee & F21 never noticed the resemblance until the repaint but they did look related.

Though I do wonder how a Yo Renee would work since she was originally released as Part of Dream Nights Puss and Boots storyline a would a yo Renee be a kitten?

Yes. ^^ Renee is an awesomely cute mold. *nodnods* If they ever re-release her, I'm keeping and modding mine... I feel too guilty when I think of doing that now, though... T___T .... I start feeling like someone else would want her as is...

Yo's are awesome though - they are very stable and poseable and I like their bodies better. ^^;;; OMG Renee Kitten!! would be so cute.... :3 OMG if they did release one... I'd have to have and keep both. XD That's not too selfish is it? *__*

Marianna: From what I can see the one in the red dress is BW and the other one in the White dress is pureskin. I can't tell for certain but it looks like Volks is releasing 2 dolls in the same format as the Miruku Kurumi releases.

I have a weekness for very, very cute looking SD10s *-* I wouldn´t say they are the same sculpt...the just don´t look the same to me but who can be sure with this few infos ^^;;;
If I´d have to decide which girl to bring home it´ll be Riizi.

Is Rizii Dolpa special? I am just guessing. Volks always has the beauty white skin doll for Dolpa special.

Hiya KohakuTenshi. You may know this already, but I will go ahead and put the info up here for those who may be unfamiliar with the dolpa process so to speak ^_^

*We will not know which dolls will be available in the US and when the lottery will be until Volks makes an announcement on the VolksUSA site (for North Amreican customers...this lottery takes place during the dolpa and right after, usually for a period of a a week or two).
*The international english site will also update for the after event lottery information (for all international customers...this is a lottery done after the dolpa date).
*Also, the Volks dealers will probably pop in this thread and say they are taking names for the limited items (that is for US customers only...this is done before the VolksUSA lottery and the after event. IF you accidentally win a doll in this and the Volks USA event one will be cancelled and you wil get the other since VolksUSA ships to the dealers and compares the names. This way you do not get stuck with 2 dolls)
*Those are 3 separate instances for those in the US who can enter for the dolls. In japan they have their own after event and of course the dolpa, all international customers use the Volks english international site. We just kind of have to wait for the information to be released and updated ^_^

I know, it can be a bit confusing. You kind of just have to sit back and go along for the ride lol. Keep your eyes on this thread for dealer updates, and watch www.volksusa.com for the lottery updates and www.volks.co.jp/en for international lottery updates. If you miss something, someone is bond to port it here, so no need to to stalk too much (of course I tell myself that every time and still stalk lol). I think the most stressful part is entering for the lotteries. You enter and then wait to see if you win the chance to buy the dolly you love. Then if you loose, you do it all over again. It can be a little stressful, but fun at the same time.

There is a thread about dolpas, but the information is a little out dated so you kinda have to look at the very last posts to see the newest info on how the dolpas are done (I paraphrased most of the info above).
