Nono's adorable, but it seems Volks is making all their girl heads smaller these days... I noticed that with Masha, and now Swd Nono. The neck seems bigger by comparison. Interesting..

I think Sweet Dream Nono's head is the same size as regular Nono's head, because she was first released before the smaller-headed dolls became popular. And it says that her wig size is "SD-L", which might mean it's meant for a larger sized SD head. Maybe it's just the angle of the pictures that makes her neck look big.

I think I'm in trouble. Crystal didn't impress me at first, but good heavens, she is so lovely now that I can see better pics! She looks like a very good match for an older, ladylike female character I have had in mind that has thus far eluded me. I still love the SwD Nono though, ack. But I definitely can't get both now . . . so I may have to think about waiting on the Nono. She's so precious, but I have no character for her. And since my Nono is away right now (being remade as a FCS!) I think my missing her is one of the reasons I'm SO drawn to the SwD Nono. It would be easier to resist a SwD Nono if I had a cute Nono face looking at me from my doll shelf . . . sigh . . . decisions!

And Cassiel, thanks for that adorable translation, and the price info! Weird, the SD13 and SD10 girls are the same price. Despite the great exchange rate though, I'd guess they'll both cost around $900 from Volks USA. The US prices tend to be at LEAST the yen price divided by 100, then maybe plus a little more.

 

Awww, I'm sorry you might have to wait to get Sweet Dream Nono, Dolly. But don't worry. Since she'll finally be directly available to American buyers, you'll be able to find one floating around when you're ready for her!

Tell you what, if I'm able to get her, she can be friends with your Gwena when she arrives! It'd be nice for her to be friends with a fellow Nono!

 

Actually, they're generally a much of a muchness. SD10 boy/girl and SD13 girl FCS are the same price, and the last couple of SD13 girl LEs have been around the same price -- the last few SD10 girl LEs have actually been a lot more.. but they were character dolls (Rozen Maiden) or dolls with special outfits (BtSSB (Luna), h.naoto (Kurumi)) so that's to be expected. But yeah, they're generally around the same price, it's only SD13 boys that are more expensive, really. Which makes sense I guess, since they are beefier. (And SD10 boy/girl and SD13 girl arms, legs hands and feet are all interchangeable...)

I put my Nono in lolita dresses all the time I would live to have a Nono and Swd Nono in similar but different colored lolita dresses.

Is that how you would dress your Swd Nono too? I think our Nonos would be good friends

Yes, if I'm lucky enough to get her, I'd definitely dress Sweet Dream Nono in lacy lolita dresses. My FCS girl, Claudia has a sweet lolita style with lots of pink and white. I think Sweet Dream Nono would look beautiful in both light and dark floral prints and wavy/curly hair.

Did anyone notice the limited wig with the adorable fluffy, curly ponytails in the pictures? It is so cute!!! It reminds me of Standard Mimi's wig.

Nono's story is so sweet and cute! I can just see her standing by the sea shore with her hand on her hat to keep the breeze from blowing it off her cute melon sized head....I just love Nono!

Oh my as for dressing her...most of my dolls wear sweet girl clothes or lolita. I am going to have my Nono and SwD Nono in matching wigs and matching dressed and shoes, only different colors (well they won't wear matching stuff all the time, but at least when I first get them I want them to match). My standard Nono also needs a new face up, so I am going to have her match SwD Nono's. Eee! This is so exciting! I think I may die if I don't get her.

Yes, it always does for all LEs except YoSD. So Amakusa, Crystal and Nono Sweet Dreams come with their outfits (including shoes).

Oh, I can't wait to see all the SwD Nonos in their cute lolita outfits. I might just die of cuteness overload, come October (since that is probably when we'll see them from Volks USA).

And thanks for the good wishes Cassiel! And now that you mention it, the prices for SD10 girls lately have been high for the reasons you mentioned, and it seems like we haven't had any SD13 girls for ages! I guess I was thinking of the prices for standard SD10 vs SD13 girls.

Oh, I know! It's terrible the way Volks tortures me! This Dolpa has only two things I yearn for: Sweet Dream Nono and that adorable, curly, ponytailed wig. But since Sweet Dream Nono is my ultimate dream doll, this Dolpa is a big deal to me! By the time the Volks USA Lottery comes around, I'll be frazzled with stress and excitement!

If I'm able to get Sweet Dream Nono, I think I might have her sanded and coated. I've heard that it takes longer to recieve your doll if you order extra services for them, so I might not get her until much later. Oh, it will be torture to see so many beautiful Sweet Dream Nonos while mine is still away! But I'll make it. It'll give me time to get things ready for her.

 

I hope we all get everything we want! I think I'll be in debt too! I might have to use my whole doll fund!

Kind of...they will come with their wig, but not the outfit or shoes. You have to buy those separately at the dolpa.

In Japan, it seems that Sweet Dream Nono is the most popular at this point (I saw Japanese doll BBS). I really love Sweet Dream Nono, and already have her! She is sooooo cute. I really want everyone to see her, she should be cuter than you expect. I'm pretty sure!

I'm not surprised that she is so popular in Japan. They have a much larger Nono following there. It seems that mature and realistic dolls are more popular in the western world.

My Sweet Dream Nono is Mayura's one-off and white skin version. Many people ask me to sell her, but I can't, I won't!!

Liz's big sister???? Oh no!!!! She even has the pale purple eyes.... I am fearful that I will sucumb to this next Maiden's Promises girl. I have the rest of them... Actually my daughter & I each have a Liz now!
I also adore the sweet candy outfits, and the yo outfits. And little Tanpopo is so adorable.

 

Ooooh, I was crossing my fingers hoping that maybe the new Nono head would be smaller. I'm sure not everyone is of the same opinion, but it would be better for me anyway for wig sharing and for her to fit in better with my other girls. Still keeping my fingers crossed but it's nice to hear Raven that you think the neck seems bigger

I just realized that in all my excitement over Sweet Dream Nono, I haven't said a word about the other dolls! I'll fix that right now!

Amakusa Shirou Tokisada: This guy is so cool! Not only does he look awesome, but the history behind him is fascinating. A Japanese Christian martyr... very cool. I love the way his outfit, while mostly traditional, has some western elements to it, and I must confess that I like men with long hair in traditional Japanese dress. I'm not looking for a boy doll myself, but Amakusa is awesome!

Crystal: Crystal looks so calm and mature and sophisticated! I imagine her as quiet, level-headed, and very determined. Her outfit is so cool! I love the way it is gothy, sophisticated, feminine, and tomboyish at the same time. I would never of guessed that she was Liz's sister if Cassiel hadn't translated for us! I'd love to see compairison pics to see if there is a strong family resemblence.

Sweet Dream Nono: I think we all know how I feel about her!

Ayumu and Tanpopo: These little ones are so cute! They look so serious for being so young. They remind me of a miniture Shinku. I love Tanpopo's name, as I think it means dandelion. That's just cute. Does anyone know what Ayumu means?

The DDs: Sooo pretty!! They are more beautiful then I expected! Such gorgeous and detailed costumes, and such cute faces... I've not familiar with the series, but now I want to be!

Mini DD: Pure cuteness!! Oh she is so cute! Once again I'm not familiar with the series she's from, but so cute!!!

 

LOL! Yes, both Nono and Sweet Dream Nono have big noggins by today's standards, so it might be hard to wrestle certain wigs on them. But you gotta love her either way!

I thought Volks usually held a lottery for the dolls around the same time acexkeikai. Because the lottery usually happens before the After Event (which is a few weeks later). This way if you don't win the lottery you can try the After Event. At least I am pretty sure that is how it has been for the last few dolpas. Most of the limited clothes and stuff, however, come to the store a month later and there is no lottery, just a clicking war. ^_^

Crystal... I want her as a boy! I think she would make a lovely boy, and her sculpt makes me think of a mix between Tsukasa, Shirou, and Jun.

SwD Nono is very pretty. I'm not really one for girl dolls, but I think she is really sweet.

The Yos don't do it for me, thankfully. x__x I wasn't enamored with the last Yo release either, so my bank account is safe. Their outfits, however... I might have to be getting the girl one! It's too cute, and their clogs slay me. >o<

there are pictures for the outfits and the wigs. the difference in his eye-makeup (bottom heavier on one eye), don't seem to be as noticible. mabye they needed the pictures quickly enough that no one noticed. - Barb
